Easy to install and set up.

We got a great deal on 2 of these sky lights and we love them . They were a great addition to our bonus room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these to replace some 35 year old TPS units from Velux. They matched the old size very well. It won't take much to finish the inside.

Wrong size was sent. Installer said he could make it work but understandably I was not that happy.

Really well made and easy to install

System was installed by roofers who struggled with the installation of operator hook. After 2-3 attempts to 'shove it in the hole', they departed. No instructions are provided! or what testing should be included! Thus, when I tried to use the VCM, the hook fell out of the hole. Fortunately, it fell to the floor and not into my face or eye. However, now I am in the kitchen of the house and the skylight operator hook-hole is twelve feet above me. I spoke to customer service, it was of little value. Thus, I am left with the need to beg the installer to return or head to Home Depot to buy a ladder. Ridiculous!

We just replaced two old skylights. The new ones look great, but we are disappointed in the screens which are cheap and do not fit tightly (i.e. there are gaps big enough on the sides to let insects in).

As advertised, well built. Highly Recommend?

I have been requested on several occasions to rate this skylight. While I am hoping that it will be great, it did come with one small dent and I had to order it twice in order to finally receive my order. Also, I have not yet been able to have it installed. Therefore, I can not yet rate how it will work for my application. This is not an order that you receive, plug in and go, it does take someone with knowledge of roofing to install and that doesn't happen over night.

Bought this to replace a 26 year old Velux skylight that had foggy glass. Couldn't find anyone that would just replace the glass for less than $750. Had to modify the outside of the curb since this one is 3" longer and wider. Saved $500.

The sky lights were beautiful and heavy , making them seal great on the roof opening curb. Their dual Pane glass lets all the light in I needed plus insulated for cold and warmth

We replaced 4 of the old "bubble style" plastic skylights when we replaced our roof recently and the Velux models are a major upgrade! 3 of the 4 we replaced with the Velux VCM model and it is so nice to be able to open these up and let in some fresh air - especially at night during the Summer months. We also got these with pre-installed white blinds that are solar powered and remote controlled and I am so glad that we spent the extra money for this feature - well worth it! So nice to be able to close these during the hot afternoon sun and block out the extra heat, and I am really glad that we opted for the remote control option as it makes it so easy to control these throughout the day. I am also impressed with the overall quality and the thermopane glass. No leaks, no drafts and less heat loss in the winter. Our roofer told us that he does not like to install any other brand -- in fact he charges extra for any other brand to cover his call-backs. We installed almost 2 years ago and we have been very happy.

The Velux is a premium skylight that was easy to install with the separate flashing kit. I was able to remove and replace my existing skylight in about an hour. The insulated clear glass is amazing! I’d definitely recommend this as an upgrade.

When cranking the window open or closing the window shifts suddenly and abruptly about a half inch. Otherwise all three that I have are great.

We had our old bubble skylight replaced with a Velux skylight. The old one had been damaged by hail. We were amazed at how quickly the replacement went and how clear and clean the new skylight looks.

It was exactly what I needed. Worked great, included nice hardware for the install.
