This kit is specifically designed and marketed for small/spot application projects. For larger projects DAP offers 200 and 600 board feet kits. The Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 15 Kit, as with all two components spray polyurethane foams must be used within narrow temperature ranges: "CHEMICALS (70° - 90°F/21° - 32°C), SURFACES (60° - 90°F/16° - 32°C), AIR (60° - 90°F/16° - 32°C). Achieving the full product yield is predicated on proper application ratio, temperatures and application technique. Even small variations in these factors can significantly impact the product's coverage rate. While one component spray polyurethane foams can be applied in a wider temperature range, they are not appropriate for large void/cavity filling and do not offer the same R-Value or vapor barrier performance. Thank you for posting your feedback. The Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 15 Kit is filled with sufficient material to dispense a minimum of 15 board feet worth of delivered foam (when applied as directed). As the cans are depleted (as with any sealed pressurized vessel) the pressure will drop off rapidly as the contents near depletion. After achieving a full evacuation of the 15 board feet of delivered foam, there will always be residual chemical in one or both cans. This condition is normal and expected. As indicated in the product usage instructions, DVD and website usage videos, "If spraying has stopped for more than 30 seconds, foam in the nozzle will begin to cure and clog, and system performance will be compromised". Likewise, the products that you are comparing (two component foam and one component foam) are not equal in terms of chemistry or performance. The foam dispensed from the Pro System 15 Kit is capable of filling wider/deeper cavities (not limited to bead application), it cures in minutes (not hours), provides both an air seal and a moisture vapor barrier, whereas the single component foam does not. As with all two-components kits, coverage is expressed as a board foot, this is defined as 12” x 12” square by 1” thick. A System 15 Kit is designed to provide 15 board feet or 1.3 cu. ft. (theoretical output) when properly applied. When properly applied, this foam formula should be set within 1-2 minutes. Foam applied to cool/cold surfaces will not perform as designed and may result in reduced performance.
