I had a patio door that was letting water into the house. I removed it, put down this sill pan, applied flashing as well, and put the door back in. I think the reason these sill pans are hard to find these days is because they come integrated into new doors. Thankfully Home Depot shipped this to my house and saved me having to throw away an otherwise good door.

Skeptical to buy at first, but I took a chance on this. Ordered it online and took a week to come in. Great condition and was easy to trim to size and install. I used the recommended OSI Quad MAX caulking (purchased separate). I installed it with French double doors and it looks great. Blends in perfect with door to the point you can't notice it unless you knew what it was. Funny thing, it started pouring rain while I was in the process of putting the new trim on so I left the trim off till the storm passed and sat back and inspected the inside for any leaks and everything was good!

Product was well made and easy to install. I was replacing an ancient aluminum sliding patio door on a concrete slab that had cracked and had some pieces falling off. It was an uneven, pitted mess. The SureSill made an clean, even, good looking installation. I did have to shim it and caulk it good to get a waterproof seal, but that will be necessary no matter where you install it. Highly recommended.

Great solution. Easy to install. I needed to add aluminum shims. OSB board in picture is a temporary door (winter).

Recommended by the door manufacturer of my exterior door. Looks like a great product. Cut length to fit and glue the end pieces on. In my opinion you should still flash and prep the opening as if you don't have this product to be safe while you have access.

I'm a trained Electrician, so doing carpentry projects, or other trades takes watching videos, reviews and learning correct install procedures. I follow The Build Show, and watched install and reviews done by Matt Risinger. My husband and I installed a 72" wide French Door. I'd installed new interior doors in last home. But first exterior. I liked the sill design. Its been in a month. The depth of door and sill matched, but the aluminum sill hangs out further and is not supported. This is what was recommended. I will be having some heavy millwork done to transition down to the porches level and support the door sill better.

From start to finish everything about this option was poor. First I couldn't get Home Depot to ship before mid December, and on-line would only let you order a pack of 10 for over $500??? Ended up getting from EBay, but came directly from Sure Sill? First watched the video again and again, moron... First step in unpackaging is tearing off labels that ya might need later, then they tell you to make sure you remove all the glued on stickers!! Why put them on in the first place? A waste of $$$

Home Depot did an abysmal job managing the supplier of this pan. The order sat unfilled for weeks. There was -0- vendor management. This pan held up installation of my doors for months.

Just what was needed.

This is really not suitable for retro door installs. I can see it working on standard new construction, but for my purposes, the measurements required did not fit the job and it ended up being a waste of money.

Very easy to install. Should prolong life of the door as water will definitely drain away from the bottom of the door.

This product is not suitable for real world construction. In order to adjust the door plane inward, one would have to modify the door jamb(s) since the depth is just long enough for 6 9/16. When adding netting for insulation and flashing tape, the 2x6 wall plus drywall plus sheathing is already larger and the door trim will not be straight. Nice idea, but needs more engineering to work.

I own a metal brake and typicall bend our own sills in-house. However, this product was so inexpensive, and easy to install that we tried it. So easy and affordable that we will likely use this product in the future for all standard-size openings. Great product.

The sill pan was great. It was easy to trim to length, and the adhesive worked well. The two star rating is because the top flashing was not included in the package. I ordered online for store pickup. At the time of pickup, there was a gaping hole in the side of my house, so I took the sill pan and installed the door without the top flashing. I have not been able to get a partial refund for the missing pieces. Returning the sill pan for a full refund was not an option since the door had to be installed that day. This was a good product, but pieces were missing and customer service was lackluster.

I don’t know if the thing is worth it. I ordered it to have a rigid sill as many codes call for now but the thing took too long to get here. In the age of free shipping and in hand within a week, this didn’t make it in time for my self imposed deadline - before winter settled in. Running out of warm enough days for brand new rough in, install, trim and paint, i fashioned a pan the old fashioned way with flashing, butyl tape and sealant. If these things are the way to go, why are they not carried in stores or shipped in a reasonable time frame? Ten days is ridiculous IMO.

The sure will was just as advertised, fit perfectly. Instructions were easy to follow and spot on correct.

Worked great! We had never installed an exterior door before and amongst all our you-tube watching for "how to best install an exterior door", it was pretty common that installing a sill pan was best practice! Biggest complaint was just how long we had to wait for it to be delivered. But that was more on us than home depot. It came with end caps and glue and applicator to be able to put it together. Plenty long. We installed it under our 36" wide front door that had two 14" sidelights. Tip to remember to make sure your subfloor is level before you install! Highly recommend and very easy for a DIY-er to install.
