It pops rivets. At this price point there is little to no room to be disappointed with this product. It is very self explanatory and easy to use, the handle is not hard to depress even on the largest rivets. If you have a small to mid sized project in need of some rivets this will get the job done well.

Good economy rivet gun, have to open lever manually to release rivet shaft
Solid feel, smooth lever action. Popped 1/8"x 1/4 rivets in 1.5 pumps. The lever opens automatically, but to release the shaft (to pump again or to release after popping), you have to open the lever just a little more. All of the complaints about jamming had to have been because the reviewers didn't open the lever the extra inch that the gun needs to release the shaft. One handed operation is pretty much impossible with having to manually open it further on every stroke, but this is an economy grade tool, and built for users like me: who rarely rivet and didn't want to spend a lot on a commercial grade tool. For me the minor inconvenience is not a deal breaker. If you rivet a lot or do it professionally, step up to a heavier duty gun

Pure junk
Bought two and both jammed after first use. Will return both and try a different brand.

jammed on the first one
I needed to fix some rivets on our kayaks and thought this product would be perfect. It's made by Stanley and less than $10. The first rivet got jammed and I could not remove it. Very disappointed.

A disappointment from Stanley
I seldom use a pop riveter so I thought this would be suitable for my needs. However on the very first attempt to use it, the rivet jammed in the jaws and I was unable to get it out. This was fortunate as the riviter failed to fully collapse the rivit head,so I was at least able to remove rivit & riviter from the work surface. A real disappointment in such poor quality from Stanley.

Broke
I have limited use for a pop rivet gun so I thought this would be a perfect fit for my needs. Unfortunately, that did not prove to be the case. After installing only 4 four rivets in an open application, one of the nails jammed in the jaws. I was able to get it out but could not insert another one in the jaws. I could not recommend this for anyone else to buy.

This tool is junk.
It does not work at all. The rivets jam in the tool and do not 'pop' at all. Now I'm stuck with it.

Great Tool
This medium duty rivet gun works as expected. I have only used this on aluminum , and have popped about 200 - 300 rivets without any issues. It feels solid and looks well made. I do a lot of projects and other brands just didn't last . For a mid-range tool , I expect this tool to last several years. If it fails prior to 2000 rivets , I will update this review , although I don't think that will be necessary.

Very good for the price
Needed to rivet a strap on a suitcase and discovered I had thrown out my riveter when we moved. Very happy with this one. Didn't want to spend a lot of money since I didn't know when I would need it again, but wanted one good enough for most jobs I'll encounter. This fit the bill.

Broke on first job
The gun broke on the first job and after a dozen rivits. When back to my other brand that cost 3x as much, but with anything you get what you pay for.

Works great
I've used it a few times now and it works great. Easy to change out the bits for different size rivets.

Poor quality, even for a Stanley.
After only 30 rivets the tool started jamming and then completely quit after around 50. I had to take the entire thing apart and grind off a burr on the part that grabs the stem of the rivet.
Now it works good enough to use on occasional basis. I have already bought a different type that will be my primary tool.

Good but not great
I bought this riveter for a small project. Never needed one before and probably won't again for a while. It does the job but it doesn't let go of the rivet after the first squeeze. The handle has to be let go to where it smacks open in order for it to release the rivet for the 2nd squeeze to "pop". It works but not the greatest.

Easier to use than I expected; and quick!
Limited instructions; but this is a simple procedure, so that's OK.
Finished procedure was perfect; used it on leather with NO washer, still holds well.

Does Not Include a Nose for Setting 3/32" Rivets
The Home Depot description of this tool includes compatibility with 3/32" (small) rivets but the tool does not include a 3/32" nose for setting this diameter of rivet.

Solidly built product
Works well and does what it's supposed to do. When it's wide open, it's hard to use with one hand. Fairly easy to squeeze. It should do the job just fine if you don't have to do a ton of rivets. If you're only doing a few from time to time it's a great product.
