Purchased this as part of a toilet replacement but since this is for a house that is vacant several months a year decided to sweat a new valve on ..just didn't want to take any chances of a leak occuring while not in the house.

I have used these previously to replace old valves under my bathroom and kitchen sinks. This time I needed them for my powder room sink. They are easy to push on to the existing pipe (I have PVC). Just make sure the end of the pipe has a clean cut! Haha! I didn't make a clean cut and had water spraying all over! When I cut it cleanly and cleaned up the end it worked great. The quarter-turn knob makes it easy to turn the water on and off when you need to do that.

Went on very easy, doesn't leak, and a reasonable price.

Great connection. Slipped on easily and created a firm dry seal. I'll use these in future. Used 2 of them for a leaking bar sink repair.

Love these things
I had 6 old nasty (corroded & leaky) valves in 2 bathrooms that needed to be replaced. I was a bit nervous because they were too close to the wall to solder/weld new standard fittings. I bought a decent pipe cutter, the sharkbite deburring tool, and 6 of these. Even though there was probably about only 3/4" pipe from wall, I replaced all of them with zero problems in well under an hour. Many months later and valves still have no problems at all. Definitely worth the money.

Easy install, no soldering, just cut the pipe to length, clean with a wire brush and push these on. They seal immediately, yet will rotate to accommodate the other piece you're fitting to them. They are a little bit pricey compared to sweat-on (soldered) fittings, but if you're not making a living as a plumber they save time and effort. I've had these in my home, leak free, for more than 10 years.
