This is the first time I used SharkBite for an emergency repair, it delivered above expectations and made the repair quick and easy. I had to use a coupling to extend the ½ PVC through 2X4 into an Elbow that leads to Shutoff. SharkBite had it all and made the entire repair easy and quick. I can't think of any negative on this valve.

Bought valve a couple of years ago and installed on a toilet supply line. Recently had to remove and reinstall the toilet about a month ago. No apparent issues until today when I noticed water damage on the baseboards. Found water leaking from the threaded portion of the valve. Water had been slowly dripping for some time. This bathroom is not often used. Baseboard is ruined and floor is damaged. Thought maybe the supply line needed tighted, so attempted to tighten it, hardly any pressure on the wrench and the threaded end broke right off the valve. Now water was spraying under high pressure all over the bathroom until I could get it shut off. Have bought and used Sharkbite fittings many times before with no issues, not sure I will replace this one with another Sharkbite brand valve.

I just bought one of these at my local HD. Amazing product. Took a few hours to get the old valve and the very stubborn compression ring off. Then bought the old fashioned valve. Compression ring wouldn't tighten. Returned it and the HD plumbing guy recommended this sharkbite valve. Took maybe a minute to push on and reconnect the line to the toilet. No leaks. Highly recommend this product!!!!!

I must admit I was hesitant about just "push to connect" but the simplicity of it was worst the risk. I have now use many of these valves in multiple occasions and it is as easy as they say. I'm going from copper to flex pipe (PEX) in all the applications I have use them. No more solder! Yay! Make sure you have no burrs or debris in your copper (well sanded) and straight clean cut.

I bought these for a DIY bathroom remodel. I read another review about being able to easily install and remove these valves for their reno. This is exactly what I wanted to do too. i.e. shut of the main water supply, move/install new water supply (copper) pipes and install these valves. Turn the house water back on. When ready to install drywall, turn house water off, temporarily remove the valves, install drywall over pipes, trim pipe to final length, install escutcheon plates, re-install valves. This is a lot less (hot) work than soldering/removing a temporary end-cap. What I didn't expect was the ability to rotate the valve after installation. This was really handy when I needed to purge the air from the supply line. Just rotate the valve so it's pointed into a bucket and turn the valve on purge the air/water into the bucket. Rotate the valve back when you're done.

I have purchase shark bite valves and couplings in the past to make transitions between our cpvc pipe and new pipe or new fixture lines. We got a valve last weekend that must have a small crack in a seam. It was impossible for me to remove to replace because of its position in front of a wall. Had to hire a plumber instead. My husband took a video of a fine spray coming out of the seam. This has been very disappointing.

Best time-saver I have encountered in a long time! Plumbing is my nemesis so the quicker I'm done, the happier I am. Installed a toilet and the water pipe was short. Any heat might have messed up the wall in a very tight space. Sharkbite made it easy.

As a 66 year old home owner I've changed a few water line valves on toilets and sinks over the years and these Sharkbite valves have made this task the easiest I've ever had it. Perfect results in way less time and hassle with no swearing ! A winner in every category !

Our sink did not have shut off valves, and we wanted to install a new faucet. We used two of these to install shut off valves for each pipe after cutting the soldered pipes. They worked great and were easy to install.

Shark bites are the best invention for plumbing since the plunger. They are easy to use and easy to change with the removal tool (recommended in case you need to change something latter). I have replaced all of the bathroom supply lines in my house with Shark Bite valves.

This is the greatest invention to plumbing kind.After several failed attempts with a far inferior product I discovered this gem right here. Flooding my kitchen and nearly ruining my cabinets was driving me to the point of a nervous breakdown,banging my fist and my wife leaving. I have replaced almost all my original shut of valves with these SharkBite push connect 1/4 turn valves. Easy to install and trusted leak free operation.

SharkBite 1/2 inch, 1/4 turn connector. This SharkBite installed easily and is convenient. Just make sure the pipe you connect to is cut evenly and clean off with a very fine sandpaper, then you slip on the SharkBite. The 1/4 turn Stop Valve is really convenient, and works well for closing in an emergency.

So easy to use. Shuts off fast and easy.

This product is excellent. I would compare it to a “never fail” recipe! It is fail proof. So easy to install a fifth grader could do it. The only problem was the valve was had to turn on after installation. I would definitely buy it again.

These can turn a novice into a plumber. So easy to use and they work great. Make sure you buy the HDX pipe cutter tool. That makes it a breeze.

Wish I would have bought these first instead of the valves with the compression fittings. I would have been through in about an hour all together and not half a day, with having to go back and get these. They were on in a matter of minutes, and I didn't have to call in professional help, so the wife thinks I'm a hero now, lol. Would definitely recommend this valve!!!

The shark bite fittings are great for putting sinks and toilets faucets. They are shadowless joints which are great I've never ever had one to leak they're quarter-turn shut off

Had plumber install at same time as new toilet. Didn't exactly match what we purchased for the sink shutoffs which are now visible but, at least, it was chromed. Like the quarter turn feature. Like that we have ridded ourselves of the round, industrial looking knob of the old valve. We also liked the plumber HD sent us.

It was so easy to fix two leaking valves on a Sunday afternoon. I followed the Sharkbite video instructions Prepared the pipe and it just took a push to have the new valve in place. I had some doubts because of some of the reviews. I turned on the water supply and everything worked fine. Unbelievably easy. I am still in awe that I managed to fix two valves without any plumbing experience. Thank you Sharkbite and Homedepot to carry them.

After shutting off the water supply, I sweated off the old, leaking valve, cleaned the pipe with emery cloth, pushed the new valve on the pipe to the marked depth, turned the water back on and the job was done. Could not be easier. No leaks whatsoever. The only odd thing about SharkBite fittings is they spin after they are installed. The hose I bought to go from the valve to the toilet dictated the valve sit horizontally rather than the vertical position these valves are typically positioned. Also, the fact that it spins of course, requires two hands to turn on or shut off the valve, one to hold the valve body and one to turn the lever.

Excellent product. Used to replace a 20 yr old hot water shutoff valve for my kitchen sink that would not close. Thankfully the stub left from the original plumber was just long enough to allow me to cut off the old fitting and replace with the SharkBite. I've used various SharkBite fittings to install a basement laundry tub a few years back and love the simplicity and speed of installation. Old fittings have not leaked and I especially like the 1/4 turn shut off . No more stripping old valve stems and dealing with drips from deteriorated washers and mineral buildup. Installation takes less than 2 minutes to cut, clean and install new valve.

Far easier than anticipated... We had a small drip below our sink. As it turned out the existing valve had cracked and the more I tightened it, the more it leaked. We have PEX pipe and old valve was professionally installed. I expected to have to call the plumber, but figured I try this. Used a pair of anvil pruning shears (sharp blade) to cut off the old valve, re-shape the end to be round, measured 15/16", made the mark, slid the new valve on, then turned the house water back on. I fully expected a fine spray of water. But It held! I reconnected the faucet and was done. All in under 15 minutes!. And it looks very similar to the original valve (in the pix, the new valve is the one on top). Also purchased the BrassCraft version but was loathe to install it given it's reviews. But I'm glad I went with the Sharkbite product. (Okay, it's only been 2 hours and most things I do requires a re-do, but so far so good). It seems that anyone that has leaks it's because there are defects in the outside wall of the pipe that can't be covered by the rubber O-ring inside. So clean the outside of the pipe and make sure it's not warped or otherwise damaged.

Cut the old valve off, clean pipe and push on, that's it! Wish I had inverted these!
