After years of dealing with soldering or CPVC glue someone came up with a product that actually works great, looks great, and is easy to install. This was the most painless plumbing I have ever had to do; plug and play! I replaced four valves for the bathroom vanity aboyt four months ago and thet are still working great. Would definitely recommend sharkbite for anything now!

I bought 3 Sharkbite Angle Stop Valves to replace the old plastic wheel valves at my toilets after one old plastic wheel valve started leaking. They worked so good I bought 2 more and replaced the shut off valves under my kitchen faucet. There have been no leaks and that was a year ago. I highly recommend them! The hardest part was using a combination of the hacksaw and dremel tool to carefully remove the old copper ferrel. I also found I needed to remove just a small section of the tip of the PEX Pipe so I could get a good seal with the valve. Remember to push firmly when placing the Sharkbite valve on to seat it good.

I needed to pull the toilet in order to remove wallpaper behind, and install new baseboards. Simple enough. However, the existing valve would not turn the water off, even though the knob would turn. Now my 1 wheelbarrow rated project is turning into a 2 wheelbarrow project. Run to HD, buy a compression fit 1/4 turn valve, turn off the water to the whole house, pull toilet, remove existing valve, remove existing compression ring and nut ... roadblock. Existing compression ring (ferrule) will not come off. Absolutely. Will. Not. Now we're up to 3 wheelbarrows. Run to HD, buy a compression ring puller. Still no dice. Have to cut it off. The ferrule, not the pipe (not enough pipe left to cut off, otherwise, I certainly would have gone that route). Oh, how I wish I had a dremel right now. We're up to 4 wheelbarrows. Had to cut the ferrule off ever so carefully with a hack saw, to ensure I didn't nick the pipe. Got it off, finally. It is clear now that my copper pipe has 'girdle rings' with a muffin top in between, from the existing ferrule. Not great. Ferrule from the new compression fit valve would be in the exact same spot, and in trying a quick fit hand-tighten, I see that it is not going to hold to the pipe at all. We're up to 5 wheelbarrows now, for a simple 1 wheelbarrow job. Isn't that always the way? I measure the pipe, look at the cross section of the shark bite from the instruction PDF, and it looked like the girdle ring part of the pipe will be exactly within the shark bite fitting, with the gripping part on the good section of pipe. Fingers crossed. Took a photo of the HD screen with exact item and aisle location, give that to husband, and send him to HD. 30 seconds after he got back, we were in business, with no leaks. Well worth the price. Since I didn't have enough exposed pipe to cut any off, my only other alternative was to cut out drywall in the garage behind the bathroom, and replace the pipe. So glad I didn't have to do that. And that is the story of how my 1 wheelbarrow project turned into a 5 wheelbarrow project. But Shark Bite saved the day, in a serious way!

No leaks, easy install. Great product, at the right price.

Goes on doesn't come off unless you have the orange clip. Works great.

Need to get rid of the inner tube. But it does work fine and has a lovely finish. Will improve the look of your install in case you spend a lot of time under your sink
