RUINED FLOORS
WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. We read great reviews on this product and needed something fast (normally use Bona). This product was a nightmare for our floors. Simple felt pads remove the finish. Shoe marks are visible after “cured time”. It’s as if this polyurethane has zero hardener. If you want your floors to turn out terrible and cause yourself headache and extra work time then this is the product for you.

This is not what we expect to hear! To ensure proper drying, it is essential that no more than two coats of Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane for Floors is applied in the same day. Thin, even coats need to be applied at a rate of 600-700 square feet per gallon, as heavier coats will extend any listed cure and dry times. If needing further assistance, please give us a call at 800-901-0411 to talk with us.

If You Get A Milky Hazy Blue Result
It is because your floors weren't absolutely bone dry. After you clean your hardwoods, you have to let them dry for 24 hours before applying this especially in humid weather or you will have a bad time. This is a very lightweight finish and takes at least 3 coats. I usually prefer oil based poly but if you need a fast turnaround time and fumes are a concern, then this is the way to go.

Thank you for reaching out. To prevent hazing, Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane for Floors, it is essential that the floor is completely dry prior to coating. We also recommend applying only when air (ambient) temperature is between 60-80 °F (16-27 °C) and relative humidity is below 85%.

      My new preferred floor finish.
I'm not a floor refinisher, but we save all the original oak we can on the 3 or 4 remodels we do a year. I wanted a water based matte finish and this product in satin was the closest I could find in stock locally. On 1100 sq ft, used drum sander with 36, 80 and 120 grit papers. Applied 2 coats first day, then used a drywall pole sander and very gently but quickly went over it with 180 grit paper by hand just to remove any defects. Applied 3rd coat and it is the best result we've ever had.

          Not a good product
Goes on fine, dries quickly, and is shiny. Then you walk on it and it wears right off. Don’t even think about moving furniture or chairs across it. If you spill any moisture, it will turn white and flake right off. This is an absolute garbage product for hardwood floors.

Let's talk about this! To ensure full durability of Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane for Floors, a minimum of 3 full coats must be applied. Each gallon has a recommended coverage of 600-700 square feet. If apply to bare wood, your first coat will provide less coverage than the following coats, as bare wood is a more porous surface.

Can't even resist a fingernail scratch
Dries fast, easy to use and "cheap". It dries a little milky, not too bad but still... Put down 3 coats and I waited 7 days. The slightest fingernail scratch leaves a nice mark. If that works for you.... I'm really wishing I just coughed up the extra $20 for anything better.

We need to know more to get to the bottom of this, Dave. Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water Based Polyurethane for Floors looking milky and scratching easily indicates the coating has not completely cured (dried). When using Parks Pro Finisher, apply thin even coats at a rate of 600-700 square feet per gallon, heavy coats will take much longer to cure. While a minimum of 3 coats is recommended, do not apply more than 2 coats in the same day. Give us a call at 800-901-0411, so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.

I love Rust-Oleum products, a good dependable name, this Pro finisher left the floors with more of a Satin look than a Semi- Gloss, and when you have rental property you need great floor protection. Protect your wood, always apply two or three coats of Polyurethane.

Let's see what we can figure out! To ensure a great finish and sheen over the entire floor, be sure to thoroughly stir Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water Based Polyurethane for Floors before and during use. It is also important to apply using a lambswool applicator pad, polyester brush or weighted T-bar for smooth, even coats. Give us a call at 800-901-0411, so we can hear more about your application, and work to make things right.

                Faux Floors top coat
Works good...doesn't yellow if put on in thin coats. So far it is holding up with two big dogs that like to bring the outside inside the house.

                Not satin as jug advertised
I bought a Satin finish. It is high gloss. What the jug states as what the finish is, may not be what the finish actually is.

Let see what we can figure out. Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Satin Water Based Polyurethane For Floors contains a flattening agent that produces the satin finish, be sure to stir thoroughly before and during use, this ensures the flattening agent is well mixed. Water Based Pro Finisher requires a minimum of 3 coats, the final sheen is from the last coat of Polyurethane applied to the floor.
