Great Coverage
I built several shelves and cabinets for my garage and chose the Rustoleum Satin Espresso to paint them. The paint went on nicely. I did use 2 coats which gave it a nice rich coat using a roller. I'm very happy with this paint and would recommend it for most projects. Now, for a harder now durable finish it's best to use the Rustoleum spray paint.

This is an amazing product to finish do it yourself projects. I've been using this product for a few years now. I've completed a coffee table, bookcase and now my son's first toy box. I like how the product wears and how easy it is to apply. I would highly recommend it for any diy furniture projects.

The primer was easy to apply and did a great job prepping the pine toy box I made for my son's Christmas present. I finished the project off with 3 coats of the rust-oleum satin black paint. It turned out amazing. I've actually used this paint on multiple occasions and have been pleased with the results and ease of use every time. I definitely recommend using the primer to prep your project plus it cuts down on the amount of product you have to use.

Covered well, smooth coverage, rich color. This is a premium paint! Used on an inside/outside porch door, so it will partially be exposed to the elements. It's been about 4 1/2 months now in an Alabama Fall season; hot , cool, wind, rain, unseasonably warm sunshine all in a matter of weeks, and the paint looks beautiful. We couldn't be more pleased. I'm going to try the other colors for more projects. Go for it. You'll be happy you did too!

Let's talk about this, Tom! To ensure the best results of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover Paint, we do recommend the use of a primer when using over bare metal. This helps ensure the best adhesion and coverage. Next time, try starting with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover Paint!

I bought this and the primer two days before deciding to paint one front door. I ended up painting a second door and did three coats each all in the same day. I liked out how well the coverage was. I didn't even use half the can! I am now thinking of doing the side windows near the front door but the weather isn't cooperating. I have already suggested to family what I used when they asked me, after posting my photos to Facebook! I have since purchased a can of the white to work on some outdoor trim work that we are changing from brown to white! This product did everything it said it would!

Merlot/Brandy Based on the can, I thought the color would be brighter and barn red but it after drying it turns out to be more of a deep merlot/brandy color, still very nice. The satin finish gives the surface a glossy look and makes the surface look wet. The paint went on smooth even over old paint. It clearly needs primer under it but I wanted to see how the paint would perform with no help. I like the color. I will have to see how it performs under the weather.

I was amazed that a latex paint could be used indoors or out. Since any paint inside this wheelbarrow must put up with a lot of punishment, sealing the metal from the elements is a must. Then a water cleanup solution seemed too good to be true! The paint did a great job smoothly covering the old rusted wheelbarrow bucket. Using a quality 3-inch all purpose brush left a almost brush-less finish. The color was ,to me, astonishingly bright. I wanted to see how the paint went on wood, so I applied it to the handles. Smooth as expected. Cleanup was quick. A little soap and water, done. The fine ends of the brush's bristles are still a little green-blue but that is to be expected with a smooth finish brush.

A great value for two cans at this price. It covers really well. I used it to paint over some dark brown cabinets and it cover the brown with one coat. I was pretty surprised. It is a pretty thick paint, but it brushes nicely. I had a junky brush and it didn't look so great at first, but switched to a nicer brush and then it looked fantastic. It was super easy to clean off the brush too. Nice paint.

Rustoleum makes quality paint especially when used on metal so I used it when I painted my float on sailboat trailer that gets dunked in saltwater. The springs, axle and bolts were new so I first primed them and other parts with rustoleum rusty metal primer, an oil based primer. As a topcoat I used the rustoleum ultra cover general purpose paint. This paint is water based making it easy to use and cleanup. I used a brush but could have used a roller. I painted the whole frame of the trailer with about half of the 32 ounce can. It flowed on easily and covered well. The paint is a blue green color.

Timeless Colonial Red and a smooth finish. My front door was an absolute mess because the previous owner had actually used deck stain (yep) over existing paint. The front door that I sanded and prepped due to the stain took 3 coats. The back door, which was also previously painted red, but not stained, only took 2 coats. I used an ultra-smooth 4" door-paint roller and a synthetic sash brush for both doors and applied moderate coatings. The paint was very fluid but covered evenly. It's not as thick as other outdoor paints I've used. It had a good workable time frame at temps at/under 75F and out of direct sunlight. Above 75F it dried a little too fast to get front-door-worthy even coating. The result in proper conditions was a smooth, professional looking finish in a timeless shade of red. I used less than 1/2 quart for both doors, in total. Dry time is fast (2-4 hrs) and this paint does not scratch easily at all. Clean up was a breeze with only water needed for my synthetic brush. I've typically had great luck with Rustoleum brand products and this also made the grade.

I used this paint in a paint sprayer with my air compressor. I did not have to thin paint at all. It covered very easily and smoothly. The color is a light gray, kinda on the beige side which I prefer. It does not have a yellow or green cast to it at all.. It is a clean beautiful light gray. Clean up was easy. Quick drying. This is actually some very good all purpose paint.

I’ve used Ultra Cover paints in the past with good results, and this paint is no exception. I used it to paint some exposed HVAC ducting that we are making from PVC pipe, finishing it to look like exposed industrial ducting. I sprayed it on after priming the pipe with a primer made to prepare plastic for paint, and the results turned out very good.

I have usually had good luck with Rustoleum paints, and this Ultra-Cover line seems pretty good. Latex, low VOC and low odor means that I can use it anywhere, and it dries fast. You can paint almost anything with it, although for best results you may need a primer (definitely for bare wood or bare metal) and a second coat. I painted some metal lawn furniture in the shade on an 85 degree day with about 15 percent humidity and found that it dried almost too fast, with the paint in the can starting to skin, and my brush getting gummy quickly. I eventually added a bit of water to the can, as per the directions, which improved the application quite a bit. Satin is usually my choice, since flat seems to show every scuff and looks drab, and gloss is just way to shiny. Good paint for a good price and should last well in storage too.

It is the best product I have ever used. I have one of each color plus the clear. Easy application, easy clean up and it dries fairly quickly. Great for all hobby work. I've been using this product for over a year and it surpasses anything I've used in the past.

This is a very nice quality paint that comes from one of my favorite paint manufacturers/producers-Rustoleum, This paint is another example of their quality products. It has a rich, deep color that is consistent through the can (when stirred thoroughly). It is a good working consistency that holds on the brush, flows nicely and lays down quite well for a latex paint. Clean up is easy with warm (NOT hot) water and mild soap. Another nice feature about many of their products is the variety of materials they can be used on (metal, wood, plaster, masonry, etc.) and the fact that it can be used indoors or outside. Because the color pigment is encased in a globe of acrylic these paints resist fading-important to me because this one is for my front door and trim and will be exposed to the sun. The price works out to about the typical price for a gallon of quality exterior paint so it's a good value. I like that I can buy it in quarts-many exterior paints don't come that way.
