Paint does not self level at all. Streaks, globs and it's far too thick for a brush. Tried to thin it and it makes no discernible difference in the final result. Heading back to the store to get a can of Behr. Waste of time and money...but mostly time.

It served the purpose I wanted. A couple of my kitchen cabinets were full looking. The paint helped to bring them back to life

After many years of living here, I had to repaint the wall cabinet in my laundry room (a plastic bottle stored inside leaked) and I wanted to duplicate the original gloss white. So . . . I bought a quart of Rustoleum Ultra Cover. After careful preparation (spot priming and wiping down with trisodium phosphate) I opened the can and mixed up the paint, then used a quality brush to apply it. The paint was low odor and thick enough so that drips were not an issue. Coverage? Despite the "ultra cover" label coverage was actually mediocre, even though this was white over white. After a second coat greatly improved things and ultimately the cabinet looked better than when I bought the house. So overall the paint was good - but not exceptional.

Using Ridgid New HVLP gun from Home Depot, sterring/straining with no thinner at 75 degrees, low humidity, surface prep done properly, spraying at 40 psi through water filter the results were: Aircraft paint remover, labor, and lots of time later it was ready to paint again. The pictures speak for themselves. I will never buy this product again. Oh, should be semi-gloss BLACK. Not blue and the runs started two hours after application. Still very, VERY wet six hours later.

I used this Semi-Gloss white Ultra Cover for a Wine Rack restoration. It is one of my favorite paints for furniture.

I had a set of French bi-fold doors that I wanted to turn into barn doors. I wanted them to have the black painted wood look. When the Home Depot clerk suggested Rust-Oleum paint, I was skeptical. But the picture on the can was the look I wanted, so I went with it. Warning...the paint does look blue when you first putting it on. I had to double-check that it was black. But it does dry to a beautiful black covering with the perfect amount of sheen. Coverage was wonderful. First coat was just to get a little bit of the paint on the wood as a base coat. I think the cloak should have recommended a base coat as well as the paint, but it all worked out in the end. I am very satisfied. My doors are gorgeous!

Very bad experience with this paint. I've been doing my own painting for over 40 years, and this is undeniably the worst paint I have ever used. I applied it over a primed door (Rust-Oleum made the primer) using a high quality brush, and it was like trying to paint with a mixture of roofing tar and butter. Each brush stroke removed almost as much paint as it applied. The overly thick, smeared paint now makes my door look like it has a textured surface. It's going to take me hours to fix this mess.

Painted my fence and vegetable beds. Thought if I spent more on good quality paint it would last longer. After one month everything looks worst then it did before I painted. Very disappointed.

applied two coats over primed doug fir and it still didn't cover completely. It doesn't spread very well.

Kona Brown turned out to be purple. I can't return as I opened it to begin the painting process. Very, very disappointed.

Exact color that I needed and paint coverage is great. Caution very runny so take time to cover up items around, below the color to avoid repainting other colors.

I brushed it in 65 degrees on fire wall of hot rod it flowed out good vrey few brush marks dryied fast enough to ge 3 coats on looks good

It does not cover surfaces as well as you might expect. Most times it takes 2 or more applications to get it to cover properly. It will leave brush streaks and not lay down easily.

I tried this paint on a cube organizer. I put this paint on top of a coat of the Ultra Cover Gloss black (The Gloss Black did not look good to me). It came out much better looking to me. I believe they don't sell this paint in a gallon size or I would have chosen it since I had to buy 3 cans to finish the job. I had used BEHR black color on another furniture before. It might be a bit better looking and coverage but since the cost is close to double, I find this a better choice.

This is such a quality product, and it can be used for interior or exterior. I have bought it several times to paint my front door, but found other uses before ever getting to the door. I used the paint on all of the trim...great product!

Very good product. Gloss is high sheen and bright white. Very easy clean up. My chair was a light blue. Now it's high gloss white. Looks very good with only one coat, however I used two since it's for furniture that's get's used a lot. For the price, highly recommended.

Always use rust-oleum for my outdoor projects.

I prepared two bookcases ( one wood, one pressboard) by light sanding. I applied one coat on each using a roller and sponge for crevices. The wood covered in one coat. The pressboard took two. Both dried to the touch within two hours. No streaks. Took half a can. I see two spots I missed, but otherwise I'm happy.

It seems to be OK, but how long is it going to last at sun exposure outside as it says for now if its any good.

For me, it was everything that I hoped for; easy to apply, smooth finish, dried fast, and easy cleanup. I used it on an old "Forever" storm door that I gave to my aunt. After painting, it looked as good as new.

We used this product on our garage door in order to match our bronze wrought iron front door. Since it was being applied to a previously water based painted surface, a special oil based primer was used. The product was professionally applied with a sprayer, but we also brush coated the light fixtures. The results are outstanding. If it holds up to the Florida sun we will have knocked out of the park with this product.

I LOVE this paint. As other reviewers have stated, it may not be COMPLETELY flat. But that could be user error in not mixing as thoroughly and frequently as recommended. That aside, here is what I love about the paint. -Easy to work with: dries fast, but not too fast, not too thin or thick. -No brush marks: as long as you don't overwork it (as with any paint), it has a beautiful smooth finish -DURABLE: I painted a laminate tv console to use as a shoe bench, and with only a little sanding as prep, it has held up to daily wear and tear (with children). A year later it still looks amazing. I wanted to leave this review because I feel like this paint has gotten a bad wrap over the whole "sheen" issue. If you aren't overly picky about the sheen (which the sheen on this paint is beautiful, by the way) then I say give it a try. If you are obsessed with getting a "flat" finish, then I guess try something else. I have done a lot of painting over the years, and I just keep coming back to this one because I love the results.
