To ensure a great gloss finish when using Rust-Oleum Automotive Gloss Black Spray Paint, after vigorously shaking the can for at least one minute once the mixing ball begins to rattle, apply holding the can 10-16" from the surface, spraying in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. Apply multiple coats versus applying one heavy coat. Holding the can too far from the surface will produce a less glossy surface.
