Within 1 year it began to weep near supply connections. Before the 2nd anniversary I had to replace. Lifetime warranty is still prorated. Only received 62% refund after 23 months. Waste of time and money. I bought to avoid corrosion and it cost me dearly. From now on I am sticking to cheap and easy.

I bought this tank to replace a steel one for our solar water heating system. It is well made and should last as long or longer than the rest of the system. I only wish that Rheem would make a Marathon tank without the electric elements installed. I have an on demand heater that as part of the water heating system so I have no use for them. I tried to find a plug that would fit where they are installed, but was unable to find one.

The first tank I installed had a leek at the stem. I had to remove the tank, drive 90 minutes to return it and then install it all over again.

We had this installed about 6 months ago and have had no problems.

I bought this heater 6 months ago, it was easy to install. I replaced a 20 year old Rheem propane heater, while doing a bathroom remodel. Our cost to operate seems similar to the 20. year old propane unit.

I bought this in September of 2016 - have never been without hot water - super energy efficient.

I love this heater, have never run out of hot water and although I expected my electric bill would be higher, I haven't seen any difference.

I am very impressed by the quality of the units. I bought two that I connected in serie, because we have a large home. However, even at the faactory medium setting, the water is so hot compare to my former units that I decided to adjust them down a notch. I love the extended one owner guaranty

Bought our he heater about 6 months ago and have had to already replace the element...bought through our local cooperative and they gave us the part at no cost. We have rural water and I think that is the problem.

I've had my Rheem Marathon for a year. Works great and has given us reliable service without problems. Bought it after research and consultations with experts. Many impressive features recommend it above a normally-constructed, economy water heater. But, the Marathon did not break our retiree bank account.

This unit Heavy Duty and won't Rust out at bottom.

I bought 2 of these upgraded water heaters, they have already started saving me money on electric bills. I'm also thinking of replacing my second homes gas heater with 2 Marathons. Love them on how they are insulted for better savings. Also love the warrenty.
