Putting together went easy and so far the power has been sufficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and have used it twice with two different grit sanding paper. I wish the table would have an accurate 45 degree angle to the vertical belt sander. It is difficult to set it to 45 degrees to the belt sander in the vertical position.

Seems like the tightening of the belt sander is only on one side and the pressure isnt even causing thr belt to come flying off. Spent an hour on hold with Ryobi only to have them tell me to return it to Home Depot.

Bearings in my old one came apart. Sealed bearings should last longer then two years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a week ago and I have believe I spent my money well. So far I have made 2 knives and I plan to make more in the future.

I experienced what I would call a picket fence noise when starting and stopping the sander. I discovered that the drive belt was VERY loose, and when turning on and off the tool, the drive belt teeth and drive gear teeth would move at different speeds and therefore the picket fence noise. I returned it to the store since I know the drive belt teeth would quickly be worn off by the drive gear. Many comparable sanders look exactly like this one with different branding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for simple DIY jobs, mostly trim work, but have expanding my usage for other items like sharpening my ax and other tools that have become dull. Super easy to set up and use.

I would have given it four stars except for two major issues: The round sanding disc does not spin true (it’s wobbles) and there doesn’t seem to be a way to lock mitre fence in place.

Easy to use and change paper. Small enough to fit on my bench top.
