Replaces my old disk/belt sander that 've had for over 34 years, and it doesn't take up as much space. I think it'll work out just fine.

Nice sander works as expected. Raising up belt sander is a little bit of a hassle but won’t be using it much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple to set up, easy to use. I've used it to smooth and level a few small bits of wood for small art projects, works great to shape and flatten planes.

Sanding belts snap within the first 5 minutes. They're installed per instructions, they track in the center of the roller. The drive belt has a 1/4" play. They're multi-directional. The disc sander works great and it's the only reason I keep this sander.

Have had this over a year now and fairly happy for the price. Would be happier if Ryobi supplied a dust bag, or at least included information on compatible dust collector products / hoses / or bags. Something that can produce this much dust deserves and needs more than a short stubby output port with no information. I use it a LOT more than I thought I would. I just need to get the grit under control, as it is uncomfortably close to a lathe and mill, neither of which want this grit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most used tool in my shop - every wood project needs sanding to finish off the edges - this tool lets me do this with speed and accuracy. It has cut my sanding down at least in half. It has the power to do the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this or Christmas. It seems to do the job so far. PROS It works well, have used it a few times already. It is not very loud so that a plus. It takes down the material quickly, as long as you do not push it beyond its limitations. CONS I have been unable to find a place to store the Allen wrench you use to raise and lower the Belt. The dust port seems a bit short to attach a dust collection system or shop vacuum. Overall I would buy this again as I am a DIY and handy homeowner and hobbyist. The 3-year warranty is also a plus.

So I know Ryobi isn’t known for being industrial commercial grade stuff. But for the average dude it works great. This has been a great purchase, my son uses it to sand down the stuff he’s forging and so far it’s holding up well.

Love it. No surprise crap exactly what you expect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Father's Day gift from my wife. I have a few Ryobi tools and I really like them a lot. The sander is easy to set up and the belt changes are a breeze with the lever mechanism and knob to center the belt. I have a couple negatives in the duct port being larger than the port on my shop vac, and the table for the disc sander took some time to set at 90°. The sander seemed underpowered when using a 50 grit belt and slowed to a stop several times. Did better on an 80 grit and above. however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product recently and have used it to strip old paint off used wood. The belt sander handles this quite for its size.

This is a very good bench sander. I did however, find that I had to use a square to get the table and miter gauge set properly. I would certainly recommend it.

Not the power I expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in March of 2020 when the shutdown started and it's been a great tool. Both sanders work well and everything functions very well. You do need to be careful when using the top sander depending on what you're sanding because it will pull it out of your hands if you don't have a tight grip. I love the fact I can hook it up to my shop vac too.

I love Ryobi and I really like this unit. It replaced another I had which was all metal but shook like a 1980's school bus when in use. This one is surprisingly heavy and stable considering the amount of plastic it's made of. That's the only down-side though. I don't have a dedicated space so I have to lift it on to my bench when I need it, and I feel like the plastic can't handle the weight when lifted. A small peice already snapped off. Great unit, but keep that in mind if it doesn't have a dedicated space.
