I'm a homeowner who sweeps his own chimney, and this was exactly what I needed. My cordless battery-powered drill lack ssufficient horsepower to manage the task. If the sweeper gets snagged in the chimney, the rods spin in place, you lose your grip and the drill spirals out of control. Last year when I swept the chimney, it nearly knocked me out. I read up on the specifics, and went looking for a well-priced, corded drill. This one checked all the boxes, and I'm safely back in business again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 5/8" VSR hammer drill the day before Halloween this year and was absolutely thrilled with the performance. For any big project around the house, I always expect to make a few trips back the store to replenish or replace parts pieces and tools. Thankfully, the D620H was able to knock out the job faster, easier, and cleaner than any other hammer drill I've ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The item works well, not complaints so far about it. The documentation is a little lacking for it though. The top slider works kind of opposite you'd expect, for example moving the slider to cover the hammer symbol actually engages the driver mode. Small but could be cleared up with better instructions. No real maintenance guidance to speak if in there either.

I've had it for a month and the truth is that it has worked wonders for me. i have many one + products, and i bought this one because it specifically required a rotary hammer. It came with its case, depth gauge, very complete.

I have been mounting a new railing to my freshly redone front porch, and my cordless hammer drill, also from Ryobi, smoked out and died on me while doing the concrete anchor points. So I went out and picked up this, and well I really really wish I had this from the start. I did all 16 remaining holes (out of 42 total needed), in about 1 hour, when my previous drill would have taken all day. There really is no substitute for corded power for heavy-duty applications. Now I probably wouldn't recommend this on a jobsite, but for all your home concrete drilling needs, this will get the job done, very quickly.

I got this since my drill couldn't handle brick and I really needed the hammer function. Only used it a few times but worked exactly as expected. The stopper works well and doesn't back in. Might revisit the review in a few months but for now it was a worthwhile purchase.

Does the job, but interestingly enough, apparently it loses torque at lower speeds.

Out of the box this tool didn’t hammer in either setting. It’s a big drill with little power. I’ll never buy to save money again. Going to mid grade and see how that works. This should go back.

Assembly was easy. Good pice. Two major problems. First, the chuck kept loosening while drilling. Many times. Had to stop many times to tighten the chuck. Second, the drill got very hot. Hotter than I thought it shoul be. I am returning this drill.

I know Ryobi has gotten better over the years, this is not true for this drill. As soon as I started using it, it was sparking from the vents, I own several different corded electric tools from Ryobi that uses brushes and non of them did that. After about 5 3/16" hole were drilled in concrete it just stopped working. All my other Ryobi tools I would recommend to even some pros, this drill should be taken off the shelves.
