Purchase this product because I had plumbing issues with my basement. Saved me from paying 200 to constantly have a plumber snake my drain. Only thing I wished was I didn't have yo purchase extra fitting because the ones in the box didn't solve the problem

I bought this item to fix a clog at my wife's business. I initially was worried about it only being a 3/8" cable and it kinking. It never missed a beet. I was able to unstop the line and I did not have to call for an expensive drain cleaning company. I would say the drain cleaner is expensive but after using it 3 or 4 times it will pay for itself. I would not buy a cheaper drain cleaner as I tried that and the cable.just kept kinking. It took me all day with the cheaper model and I ended up having to rent a system to get the job done. Using the ridgid, I was done in 45 minutes. I also like the way the attachment are secured to the cable because I think they will stay more secure.

My septic drain line has a slight bend that lets TP and solids collect over time which creates a clog and backup problem, then id have to rent a machine, pick it up, clean when finished and return, all within a short period of time (I live about 35 minutes from the store), all which is a hassle. So i bought this machine WITH Auto-Feed and am happy as a clam since it takes SO much less effort plus when i have a problem i can take care of it immediately. Besides, now i can perform preventative maintenance as i see fit on MY schedule and not worry about the hassles. I only wish i had bought this machine years ago as it would have paid for itself long ago. Sure, the best thing would be to do a proper repair of the drain line but these days that is very expensive and materials are are in short supply.

No longer have to call a plumber. Every few months I run the cutter head to clear any roots in my sewer line.

This was my first ever piece of drain cleaning equipment that I bought used off a friend when I started plumbing. This tool is still in my company’s arsenal to this day! It has cleared drains way out of its scope of work and is an absolute beast. This snake has outlasted some of my machines that cost thousands of dollars. I would recommend the k-400 as a reliable, affordable, drain cleaning tool that will definitely stand by you through the test of time and use.

I own a home the was built in the 1940's. I was having to call a plumber to run a snake through the lines roughly about twice a year for several years now. Needless to say, money down the drain! After much research, I decided to purchase this machine and do it myself. After watching the plumbers and several videos, I was able to clear the lines. After a few uses, the machine will pay for itself. Easy to use.

The cable that comes with this snake is exceptional. I tried a hundred foot snake from another cable supply company and it wasn't even half the quality of the original rigid cable.

This powerful machine cleaned major blockages in 3" waste line in both my house & line from house to septic tank. It cleared the 3" lines with only attachments that were supplied - the 2" cutter handled the 3" line just fine. So a for little bit more than the cost of a plumbers service call, I have now have the means to take care of problems on my own in the future

Drain cleaning is the WORST JOB we have at our facility!!! We have had other machines here and those have repeatedly broken down. Myself and our staff Plumber have spent WAY to much time repairing these machines. One hundred feet of cable, simple operation and rugged durability has repeatedly brought us back to Ridgid. We now do not buy anything else (I finally got them to agree to spend money on excellent equipment)!!

Had a main sewer line plug. So bad, I was forced to run the line through several clean outs, including removing a toilet. Was still forced to call the RotoRooter service company. At least we discovered where the plug was. With Ridgid, fingers crossed. I will never have to call someone to unplug my drain lines. It’s a strong and sturdy unit and I was pleased with how the ease of use. I used it for three days straight, so this much I know.

Picture it, Sunday night 630pm, dark, cold and a back up to septic tank. Plumber 300 minimum so I bought this. a friend snaked it. Plug gone and next time it will have paid for itself

I've used Ridgid drum machines my entire career. I always recommend the k-400 for anyone looking to purchase a smaller machine or starting out building up their tool stock.

After trying about five times to clear it out 5 foot and no success I purchase this and it works like a champ

i got this when i realized that previous owners of my house had dumped paint and god knows what else down the drain but with this tool only took maybe 15 minutes and it was un clogged

A good machine, but bewared Ridgid uses a different type of bit attachment, very good but with a screw

I bought this about a month ago and it got the drain opened up but I wasn't completely satisfied. With the addition of the optional root cutter and some patients we attacked the clog a second time and it went after those roots like a big dog. Very satisfied and glad I went with a local manufacturer.

easy to use and easy to keep clean and a pleasure to control instead of working by hand like the old ones you can sit and control power and motion by foot and hand in a comfortable position much easier

Call the plumber twice a year to clean out my washer clean out for 2 years. Last time I seen what he did and got me this k-400 did the job

Still a bit fresh but so far so good. I use it in place of my larger machine because it's easy to load in the truck.

I had a clogged floor drain in my garage that I have been avoiding for years. I owned a Rigid snake many years ago and it gave me good service until I let a neighbor borrow it. My neighbor kinked the cable and left my machine out in the elements for months. When I rewound the cable in the drum I found out the motor had an internal short in it. A new motor was about half of what I paid for the machine so I trashed it. After the recent aftermath of hurricane IDA hit my area and my basement flooded because of the clogged drain I decided to do something about it. I called a nationally recognized company whose initials are RR. They touted they were giving free estimates so I called them. My free estimate for clearing one clogged floor drain was almost 600 hundred bucks. I decided to spring for another snake so I bought the K-400AF which was a couple bucks more than the plumbers free estimate. Well I snaked the drain in 20 minutes and now I have a free flowing floor drain. i really didn't appreciate the local plumber sticking me up without a gun.

I have been having plumbing problems every since the basement has been finished and a restroom down stairs was added. It cost time and money every time I call a plumber. He pointed out a problem at about 50ft down pipe, but unless I tear up concrete floor and raise pipes I will always have an issue with pipes plugging. I bought the K-400 to alleviate the cost and time to get a plumber out to snake pipes. The K-400 has a reach of about 75ft and works great at unplugging pipes.

I have a recurring problem with tree roots in my sewer line. This cost of this machine was about the same as two calls to a plumber, so Im treating this as an investment. Shouldnt have any more root clogs for about a year, but if I do, Ill be ready for it!

Good product, cleared our dains. Cant believe Im saying this,but looking forward to using the K400 again.
