A: Either the motor or drum may be loose causing the belt to have slack. I've used it several times and haven't had an issue.

A: There is usually a small ridge on the drum that helps keep the belt on.

A: Unfortunately you cannot. If you have 75' of 3/8" cable to get to 100" you would have to acquire the 100' cable.

Q:Can this do a 4in drain with roots when equipped with spiral cutter attachment? I already unclogged it with 3/4in snake and just want to do preventative maintenance 2x a year. Drain hadn't been snaked in almost 20 years previously so probably slow growth

A: The K-400 is not designed to remove root blockages. The bigger machines like the K-750 are designed to cut roots in a line.

A: With the 3/8" and 1/2" cable that are used in the K400 you cannot add additional lengths of cable. 100' of 3/8" cable is the longest length we have for that machine.
