Makes a great clothes luggage box
I use these to carry my work clothing. They are perfect for that job. They don't allow water to get in even though they ride in the back of a truck most of the time. The are solid and well built. The trolley works with minimal effort. I really like them.

Simply Awesome
Finally a lunch box/cooler that I can't misplace. Love the fact that it can lock into my Pro Gear Stack. I have had ice in it for 24hrs with minimal melting. The only fall is there is no drain plug at the bottom. Highly recommend.

    Move it All
System worked great and as expected. Although our first use of this product was not to move tools, we used it to pack accessories and clothing during a Resort Visit. Sure beats hand carrying luggage. This system is built very well and the lid sealed so tight, change in elevation required a firm pull to open the cover on one box. I would reaffirm these are close to water tight if left in the rain.

    Small box is useless
Ridgid please explain how your soft bag that came with the drill/impact combo fits more things in there including 2 2ah battery, charger, subcompact impact, 3 large extension bar, pack of drill bits, various step drill bit, 2 set of easy outs, multiple adapters and punches but your small tool box cannot fit nearly half of these items?

Thoughtfully designed low profile tool box system that holds plenty of tools and is easy to store and carry
I’ve been looking for a good quality toolbox to carry tools to and from our friend’s house whom we have been helping with various projects. I was getting tired of hauling the tools I needed around in a re-usable supermarket carry bag! One of the key criteria is that the toolbox needed to be low profile since I normally drive a convertible and it has a small trunk so space it at a premium. These Rigid Pro Gear cases are very well designed. In addition to this power tool case, I also have the Pro Gear toolbox and the Pro Gear mobile cart. I was able to use the power tool case to carry volt meters, electrical hand tools, a full set of drill bits, reciprocating saw blades, assorted fasteners, a decent range of screwdrivers, bubble level, hammers, pliers, cutters, adjustable wrenches, vise grips and work gloves. The small removable accessory organizer has an easy to close lid that keeps everything in the organizer compartments, even when the case is carried vertically. The lid has a foam rubber gasket that is rated to IP 65 to keep dust and water out. I was really pleased to see that since the power toolbox only measures 22.4” wide x 13.8” deep x 6.5” high, it fits under the convertible top luggage protector, allowing me to drive the car with the top down if I want to. The toolbox comes with a reinforced eyelet so that a padlock can be used to keep the contents secure. The padlock I used was quite a snug fit so you may be wise to take the toolbox to the store with you when buying padlocks for them. The Pro Gear 2.0 cases are compatible with the Pro Gear 1.0 range so you can add these later cases if you already own the earlier series. The cases are easy to stack on the mobile cart using hinged handles on the side of each box. The 9” plastic wheels on the cart are sturdy and roll easily over gravel and larger stones without binding. The cart also has a 3-position telescopic carry handle. The toolboxes come with wall brackets which enables them to be stored on the wall in a workshop or garage. This means you can have one toolbox with plumbing tools and parts, another one with electrical tools and parts etc. and just lift the ones you need for the project off the wall storage mounts, drop them on the cart or in the pickup truck and take them to the job site. The Pro Gear 2.0 toolboxes come with a lifetime warranty that require the toolbox to be returned to Rigid directly or to a local Authorized Independent Service Center. The toolboxes are made in Israel.

The 4-part Rigid Pro Gear Gen 2.0 base and 3 tool boxes is the real deal!
The 4-part Rigid Pro Gear Gen 2.0 base and 3 tool boxes is the real deal! If you need something rough and tough to take to the job: this is it. First off, I have the original system. This new handle design allows for the handle to lower completely to serve as 2 legs for stability; the 2-finger latch allows for quick release; and the single high position just makes using it easier. While you probably will always place the largest box on the wheeled base, it is possible to start with a mid-sized box. This can allow for a greater number of smaller boxes to be stacked. (I will add a mid-size box doesn't allow for the unit to stand perfectly upright, but it may help you on a special job. New with Gen 2.0 is the ability to hang the boxes (on a wall or in your work vehicle). Hangers are provided. That makes it easy to swap out different tool boxes. The individual storage boxes are nearly indestructible and water resistant due to their closed assembly to outside holes and a red rubber gasket. Sadly, in some of my jobs over the years, there are "critters" in apartments and this seal prevents you from taking a few with you. That's not pleasant but it is real life. Each box has a port to allow the box to be locked. Units are held in the stack by snapping the two metal rectangles to the box below it, simple and effective and secure. While boxes vary, there usually is one divider and a smaller box that closes to hold small items or fasteners. One thing I would like to see available is a rigid foam insert that can be trimmed to hold (expensive) power tools, like a router, where other tools are not just piled atop it - even inside a protected box. From the overall improvement in box build to the improved handle, the Rigid Gen 2.0 Pro Gear System is probably the most secure and protected way to store, transport, and use your tools on a remote job site.

Can be used alone or as a part of the larger set.
This is the medium piece of the system, but don’t be fooled by that description. It is still very large and can handle at least a couple large portable tools. I can put in both my larger nail guns with plenty of extra nails. It has a set of metal holes to attach a lock. The side has a metal handles to lift the box or used to lock it on to other parts of the 2.0 Pro Gear system.

        Great size base unit.
This is the base unit with attached but removable wheels. Very large container that will hold pretty much any single portable tool I own or several small tools. The lid has a seal that will help protect the contents from moisture and dust. It also has a removable tray that can hold small parts for your tool.

The Foundation For A Great Mobil Toolbox Stack
RIDGID 22 in. Pro Gear Cart 2.0, Black I have never owned high-impact resin toolboxes before and when I saw this Ridgid 22” with a hand cart included I decided this would be very useful for a 74 yr. old man to move my tools around the house and yard. I like the way the large box clicks and locks into the cart and doesn’t come loose, even taking it up and down stairs. Solid construction and the ability to use a padlock to keep my tools safe. When I sprayed the box with the hose the flexible orange rubber seal all around the inner lid kept the inside of the box totally dry. I am keeping my router and orbital sander in this large box with accessories. I also have the two upper boxes which are optional add-ons, they are not included with this RIDGID 22 in. Pro Gear Cart 2.0) those also snap on tightly and with all the extra storage I have everything I need in one place. Sometimes I take a trip to help a friend or family and I just wheel all of my tools to the car. I wish I had this years ago. This Pro Gear cart is the perfect foundation for building your complete set of mobile toolboxes.

          Great Tool Box
When I decided to get this Tool box, I didn’t realize it was a stackable which is not a problem for myself as I was looking for a heavier duty plastic tool box for around the house. There is a compartment that spans the box about a third as deep as the box and two brackets both included so you could actually hang the whole tool box on the wall or side of a work bench. I would recommend this tool box even for a professional.

Rigid 22 in. Pro Gear Cart 2.0 Black
This is an excellent heavy-duty, well made, and portable tool cart. It is also versatile to move around and carry to the job site. It keeps your tools protected and secured from the weather and theft. I have a lot of cordless power tools I use for maintenance and renovations. This toolbox is great for storing batteries, charges, and some of the tools.

Great Cart Whenever You Want to Take Your Stuff
This is a great way to move your stuff around. Everyone is going to call this a toolbox but it's a lot more than that. It's a great way to move anything you need to move. If you're going a few blocks to the store take this with you and load your groceries in it. It would be good for moving files in a large office or medical building. Some people like to get together and craft together. This could be used by them as well. Or, yeah, you can put tools in it and take them to the job site. I have a fairly large property and am always doing a project somewhere. I used to use a 5 gallon bucket to move my tools, hardware and material around but I see I'll be using this in the future. It's strong, latches tightly. I see there are matching boxes that can lock in on top of this one but so far I just have the base box with the 2 wheels. No reason you can't strap other boxes, bags and materials on top of this. They are nice big rubber wheels that will get you around nicely off the pavement.

          Great Features
The RIDGID 22 in. Pro Gear Tool Box 2.0 is the most over-built toolbox I have ever seen. It is built more like a flight case, thick ridged walls, heavy-duty hinges and latches, end even a gasket around the lid! In fact, with some foam added inside, this would make an excellent travel case for delicate photographic or electronic equipment. Or you could really beat on it as a toolbox. The inner parts bin seals up, so that if things go sideways, all your small parts won't get scattered like with an open tray. This box really is a cut above.

Ridgid 2.0 gear system tool cases
I ordered the Ridgid 2.0 pro gear system power tool case and storage tool box. Wow what a system of tool storage boxes. I didn't realize how well these are made and how versatile these are as a complete system. The package I ordered came with three separate boxes each made up a complete system of gear storage that fits together well. The boxes secure to a wheeled cart and may be used as individual boxes. Each box is a different size in volume. The boxes align with each other to make a well organized system. Each box has swing latches to securely close the box. It also includes an eyelet to lock it with your own lock for added security. It has an IP65 water and dust rating. Great addition to our garage and portability for the tools.

Great box bit more narrow then expected
I assumed this box would be a bit wider than the other 22 inch boxes but it isn’t. Locks down an latches other boxes great! 100 percent best boxes for the money. Lock eye is small but this lock will work.

              Wide
The Ridgid tool box is much wider than I expected, but gives me more space inside for storage. Space is good when I want to store my larger and odd shaped tools. There is an extra case to store smaller tools. The wheels make moving the case so much easier. The Ridgid Pro gear cart is very functional for storage and mobility. It is very sturdy and the set is easy to use. The latches give a good seal and will keep dust and debris off. You can also add additional boxes.

Lots of storage. Easy to maneuver and lock boxes together
I like these tool boxes and this one looks to be well constructed. Lots of storage options and add ons for this system. I have used the first gen bottom box for several yrs and it’s held up so I don’t see an issue with the second gen not doing as well. Some reviews comment that they are built lighter and I think that’s perfect when you and tools and hardware items they can get fairly heavy. Not they are not made to take a hard hit or fall and if they do I’m sure damage will occur. The wheels are large enough to roll over rough surfaces easily or cords / hoses etc. being a red tool guy myself, I would buy it again at the current price. And after a few months of use and it holds up I’d feel confident to recommend it, lots of storage easy to lock boxes together and it’s priced right.

Great, If Minor, Update to the Gen 1 Tool Boxes. Fully Compatibility with First Generation!
Hands-down my favorite tool box system, the Gen 2.0 from Ridgid is a long-awaited update allowing soon-to-be-released half boxes to connect securely, increasing organization and functionality. A huge update is the hangers included with each box–this uses a modified French Cleat to allow the boxes to hang in the workshop or trailer or van. That’s a very cool new feature that I’m looking forward to trying in the future. I have been using Ridgid’s Pro Gear rolling box and tool box system for several years and have found them to be very reliable. The rounded corners and resin body go into my work vehicle and through the job site easily, and nothing on the outside of the box will knick up walls or interior finishes. Another favorite part of the Ridgid tool boxes is that the black body very nearly disappears behind tinted windows, so my work vehicle doesn’t stand out in any way when left outside overnight or when I’m not near it on the jobsite. Discrete means my equipment doesn’t walk off. The rubber seal works great, and has kept my equipment and chemicals dry–imperative for me to avoid dangerous situations. The new Gen 2.0 works just fine with the first generation boxes, both above and below. This backwards-compatibility is crucial for me since I have a dozen of the first generation boxes. This particular box gets a few upgrades–I like the lidded storage case that is included for bits or fasteners, and the lid gets a new treatment, an open-grid instead of a lined lid, so if something is just a little too big, I can cut some of the webbing in the lid to make the toolbox accommodate that particular tool. Great boxes, great update, some great reliability and practicality. This is a genuinely able rolling work site tool box set at a very good price point. Two thumbs way way up for Ridgid’s Gen 2.0.

Great rolling tool box set! Great features
The Ridgid 22" pro gear 2.0 cart and tool box is packed with features. A weather seal in each box lid, 9" wheels, seperate small tool/parts storage box in each tool box, a padlock spot to keep your tools where you left them. The adjustable height handle make it easy to pull around to the job site and back to your vehicle. The card can be detached from the tool boxes for easy loading I to veichles. The handle collapses down to a height of 31" tall and will extend upto 41½"tall. I love how the each box lid can be fully opened while still attached to the cart, with out the handle getting in the way. each box also comes with mounting brackets to hand on your wall so you can access contents of the tool box with out taking up space in your work table or with out being in the floor. Each box locks into the next one so you can stack 3 or more boxes and roll around as needed. Each box also has a small orange box for smaller tools that you may need to get to quickly and not end up at the bottom of your tool box, like screw drivers, box knife, or other tools you want to keep seperate. You can mix and match the tool boxes you need, such as the xl tool box, the large tool box, the power tool case, or the small parts organizers and or the open top basket. If you need a toolbox and cart system you will be happy with the Ridgid 22" pro gear. I am super happy with mine!

              Nice Small Box with Extras
I use the Pro Gear 2.0 small “power tool case” to store my multitool and blades in one place. Two box spacers, a small parts storage box (best for bits and chucks), and wall mounts are included with this box. Of all the 2.0 features, the wall mounting feature is hands down my favorite. It gets the box off the shelf and floor so it's easily accessible. Even better, there’s no need for an expensive rack mounting system. I’m not crazy about the attach/detach handle system, which also doubles for side handles. The concept is good, but the handles are a bit wiry. They also just flop around when the box isn’t attached to another box. Good small, tough, tool box overall though.

There is plenty of room in this tool box
The construction and quality of materials is what you expect from RIDGID. With the second-generation tool storage system, Ridgid has improved the durability and strength of the latches. The tool box has a new larger, metal reinforced padlock eyelet so you can use a heavy-duty padlock to secure the tool box top. The first gen latches had small padlock eyelets built into them that would often get bent during normal use. Similar to the first gen boxes, there is an orange seal inside the tool box top for water and dust resistance. The tool box comes with cleats that can be mounted to a wall for off the floor storage of the tool box. The inside is spacious and comes with a small removable organizer that is great for long screwdrivers. There are channels built into the interior sides of the tool box. These channels are for dividers that Ridgid hasn’t made available yet. I won’t just fill up this tool box, I like to organize my tools and accessories and that is where Rigid could have made more options available to customize this tool box. If you look at what’s available from Ridgid’s competitors, this tool box should come with dividers, and maybe a shallow tray that divides the tool box horizontally. Ridgid branded custom cases that fit securely inside this box are needed to help with organizing tools and accessories. I will wait for the holidays and see if Ridgid introduces some kind of organizational accessories for this tool box, otherwise I will be making my own dividers. As for battery storage, I have many Ridgid branded batteries and I don’t store them in tool boxes because of possible contact with loose metal items. Ridgid should offer protective cases for their batteries that would store securely inside this tool box. I can fit two 2Ah batteries in the removable plastic organizer that came with this tool box. The Pro Gear System Gen 2.0 boxes are backwards compatible with the Gen 1 items. As of Sept. 2022, it doesn’t look like you can purchase the three-piece rolling tool cart package. My box has a Sold Separately sticker on the back of the box. I like the tool box, I have no issues with the quality or construction of the tool box. But it would be helpful if there was more information about what other items will be introduced as part of the Gen 2 line of products. There is nothing available on the RIDGID website. Will the Pro Gear System Gen 2 be a robust tool storage solution with many customizable options or will it offer the same items available in the Gen 1 system?

Great box for making sure you have everything and not too much
Great box for those jobs that you’re not sure if you need to pack a little more for but do not want to carry a huge box with too much. This is the smallest case in a Ridgid interlocking and rolling case system and has a rubberized carrying handle so it can be held just like a suitcase. The case is made from Polypropylene resin (#5) so hard and heat resistant. The case can be removable wall mounted and has many stiffening ribs throughout to help it keep its shape. The case can be wall mounted or attached to another Pro Gear system case by use of the interlocking handles on each side and is approx. 22” x 14” x 6” deep in size and weighs slightly less than 8 lbs. The case is double latched and has a rubber “O” ring gasket in the lid for sealing out dust and water and it's IP65 rated. The case comes with two removable dividers, an orange-colored small parts box, and a metal grommet insert for a lock in the front. The small parts box provided only works if the dividers are left in the box. I took the case on a few small projects and was able to put my drill, extra batteries, bits, etc. plus the door hardware I was installing all in the case, so I forgot nothing for the first time. I found this product to be well made and well thought out for inclusion in the Ridgid Pro Gear system. The product is made in Israel and recommended.

              Good tool box system
I am pleased with this RIDGID 22 inch Pro Gear cart 2.0 as it is the largest tool box I have and seems quite strong. This box system weighs about 20 pounds and has a capacity of 100 pounds. You can add additional smaller boxes to the top of the large box. The cart has larger wheels than the older version and the handle can be lowered to stabilize the tool box better and allow the cart and box to fit in a truck or SUV easier. This large box has a smaller box they sits inside to store smaller tools. The latches look well-made and work easily plus there is an integrated water seal in the lid to protect against water and dust intrusion. There is a locking ring built into the lid to take a user supplied pad lock. Each of the boxes has two side handles to allow for easy lifting of the box when not on the rolling cart. I found out this Pro Gear cart 2 will work with the older Pro Gear 1 boxes so there is no need to replace the older boxes you might have. I am pleased with this Rigid Pro Gear tool system and it seems well designed and quite strong. This tool box has a limited lifetime warranty.

              Handy, Handy, Handy
We all know construction workers, and contractors love these packout kits. Power tools, batteries, you name it, all fit in these..Pros: stackable, flexible. Oversize wheels go over electric cords and hoses. Great design..Gaskets on lid keeps rain and moisture out but not waterproof, not needed. Very smart. Rugged too and sides take shock. Latches are heavy. Dolly (handle) is removeable to compact into small space in closet, backseat or trunk. Cons: none. I personally have a need as a musician for a smaller gear tote for audio cables, mics, mixers, and powerstrips (used to use duffel bags and tackle box and use a 2 wheel dolly). This makes gigging or band rehearsals setup and takedown a breeze. One trip with my gear is much safer and faster. If you have hobbies or travel for sales this is a great system to transporting bulky items, or even a file cabinet contents around..Im getting another for drum gear.

              Nice Sturdy Tool Storage system
When I received this RIGID Pro Gear portable toolbox system, I was very impressed. I was impressed by the sturdiness of the toolboxes and the cart itself. I was also impressed on how well the toolboxes stacked on the cart and the flip up bar locking system that holds all the toolboxes securely on the cart. It provides a convenient way to store and transport my tools. The three-tier set that I got includes an attachable cart system. Each of the tiers can be used separately with the cart or they can be stacked in any combination you want on the cart. Another feature is that they come with wall attachments to allow them to be hung on the wall for easy storage when not in use. I like how tightly the latches lock on the containers to hold them securely to the cart. Another nice feature is that you can padlock the containers to secure the contents. Another feature that I like is that there are spacers that can be setup in the smaller box to keep your tools separated. Additionally, there are interior boxes with lids in the two smaller bins to hold loose items such as small tools or parts that are used often. These interior containers have lids to keep the contents from spilling, are also removable when not needed. This is another great combination tool storage product from RIGID that I highly recommend.
