I used this laminate floor for my 400 sq ft sunroom. I originally wanted hardwood but was advised against it because hardwood does not hold up well against direct sunlight. My attention was directed to vinyl or laminate flooring, for its durability. The product was easy to install. The underlayment is already attached, no need for it unless you want to install it. Start to finish it took me 12 hrs to demo and install everything. All of the material came intact and without damage. The floor has a nice clean look. I have had the floor close to a month now. It has met my expectations and I would recommend this flooring for your install.

Floor looks great. Had a contractor install and didn’t seem to have any problems. Nice warm color with natural looking grain. Hoping it holds up with moisture or spills. It’s been in for about 5 days, so far so good!

We absolutely love it. This product is very easy to install and strongly recommended. ( Always do your own research first ) After 3 months of searching for flooring finally we found something that we really liked. We have installed this Pergo XP everywhere in our home and we absolutely love it. We bought 140 unit (6 Pallets) because we were told 20% percent waste by Home Depot and most flooring contractors but we end up returning 1 pallet. We did not receive any defected units and we carefully use our cuts that minimize our waste to 5% or less. This was the first time I installed a laminate floor. I chose this product for its quality based on other customer reviews. I took my time and followed directions. It's important that you have the right tools ! AND a good flooring saw is a must. I installed about 800 sq ft and am very happy with the final finished floor. It is a lighter color and will show dust and traffic,, but it's fairly easy to clean.

Better than I expected
The floor was easy to install and looks great. I ordered an extra box, but only had about 3sf of waste. Every piece was used. I recommend using the "tap" method.

Great product.
This product is thus far surviving a toddler and dog. The quality of the Pergo is great and the 10mm thickness feels very strong. The medium wood color is great. All I need was my miter saw and moisture barrier for this project. The underlayment is already attached to the bottom of the laminate.

Beautiful, warm color and looks like a wood floor
After I got the hang of laying the rows, it was a pleasure to install. The hardest part of the installation was locking in all the planks in the row. And contrary to some youtube videos...you don't use a hammer. I watched the official Pergo videos over and over and consulted with the Home Depot floor experts to get the real scoop. I made my own video but haven't posted it yet. Lifting the full row and connecting the tongue and groove took some time to get the hang of it. But now I'm a Pergo expert. I used a miter saw to cut the planks and a handheld jigsaw to cut the odd pieces around the closet openings. My husband cut the first rows on a table saw as they were less than a full width. I laid the planks in a 1/3, 2/3, and full plank pattern and that was much easier than random lengths. Haven't put the baseboards back on yet but it looks fantastic. I did 3 bedrooms and averaged about 2 boxes per hour (16 planks). That's roughly 25 square feet per hour. The smaller bedrooms took me about 6 hours each and the master bedroom took me 10 hours. I love the look of the planks - the texture and beveled edge gives them a real wood appearance.

Satisfied
This is a nice looking product and installation is fairly straight-forward. Time will really tell on the quality but I only rated it good because some of the locking tabs were easily pulled off. The top plank of each box had damaged underlayment as there was no cardboard on this side. An actual lid for the box would have gone a long way in protecting the product. I did not return them or file a claim as I could use some of them and will save the rest for any necessary repairs. Completed floor does look very nice. I am satisfied and would recommend this product.

replaced Pet stained rug
I had to replace badly stained dog urine soiled rug. The oder was disgusting. The particle board subfloor was soaked and sponging up. I considered completely removing it. However it was glued to the plywood base floor so that would have been too costly. I bought a bunch of Clorox Urine remover, it's basically hydrogen peroxide in large spray bottles. "NOTE, it's NOT Clorox bleach. Bleach and urine will create toxic ammonia." I sanded down all swollen areas and soaked with the Urine remover, let it dry, sprayed with H2o to test for more order soaked Urine remover again and again until the order was gone, i let the floor dry for a week. I then applied 2 coats of Kilz stain remover to entire subfloor, The original oil-based stuff. let it dry for 4 days. It took 3 days just to pull all the staples from the old rug foam underlayment. Laying down the Pergo was the fun part. I used a laminate floor plank slicer and jig-saw for cutting, also had to hand cut under door jambs too. That was somewhat difficult but looks pro. After bringing back all the bedroom furniture and finishing up and its beautiful and no more Dog urine oder. I ordered the Pergo from Home Depot online it was delivered to my house in a couple of days with free shipping! We love that room again and the dog that used it now goes only outside as that is that last room with a rug. I went back to Home Depot to get a matching transition piece. It was the last one or that style and missing hardware, the person in the flooring dept. gave it to me a a discount and saved me some money. We especially like the beveled edge , as it really look like real wood planks. If you do it yourself you know its done correctly.

Great Flooring Choice!
Install was simple and straight forward. Looks great. The edges did not look as pronounced or defined as some of the pictures we viewed online. Very happy with the appearance and end result. Feels solid and looks great!

Easy installation and beautiful!
I had purchased a lower quality laminated flooring from home depot. When we tried laying it out, we had all kinds for problems and became very frustrated. I returned the unopened packages and purchased the Pergo Alexandria Walnut laminated flooring. It was easy to install in the 5 x7 powder room and a long hallway in less than a day. It looks wonderful and great to walk on. Next time I will remember to invest a little bit more for quality.

Pleased with the look and the cost.
This was my first time installing this type of flooring and I spent a lot of time reading reviews. Now that the first room is done I can say that I am very pleased with the decision. The flooring looks great. The "grain" markings make it look like real wood instead of laminate. It seems very durable. I think it will hold up to traffic and be hard to chip. It was easy to install. To avoid getting up and down I would wait until I had 3 or 4 pieces to cut. Just take the little extra time to plan the board placing. That planning will also leave less scrap. Assuming the 10% extra, I estimated 13 boxes for the first room. I only used 11 boxes. So you can save some money and not worry about returning. I was worried that some reviews mentioned damaged or discolored boards. There was one damaged box, which was most likely a result of the shipping. In the 11 boxes, only 2 boards had small white marks. I was still able to use these...planning ahead. The floor does have a different sort of feel than the hardwood floor but definitely not something that makes me not want to continue using it. There are laminate floors that look fake and then there is this make and model that really makes it hard to tell. Also, I installed this where I have in-floor radiant heat. Don't let the 4 stars fool you. I just don't like giving the highest rating because there is always something to improve on. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again...and I will be soon.

Pergo XP Vermont maple flooring
This floor was soooo fun and easy to put Down. Like your favorite jigsaw puzzle. All you need to know is how to measure and cut a short straight cut. Watch the online videos. We ordered one extra case over our required measurements and we did use that extra case. If you order online you can return the extra case to your local Home Depot store with no restocking fee. Enjoy your project.

Pergo Floor
This floor looks fabulous in our great room we just added on to our home.It works well with the other woods we chose for the room. We own a basset hound and the floor is tolerating her nails well, no scratches. The only concern I have is getting the steaks out when cleaning the floor. I am going to invest in a hard floor steam cleaner and hopefully that will do the job. It is a lovely floor and everyone who has seen the room remarks on the beauty of the floor first thing. It is the natural hickory.

still beautiful
We installed this floor about 8 years ago, and it still looks as good as the day we did it. Always shiny and clean. Just the other day someone asked if it was new! The only problem we have had is that i dropped a knife point down and it stuck in the floor and then left a gouge. Ouch

    Beautiful, Warm Child Care Flors
We had originally decided to have stained concrete floors in our new child care center, but found them to bee too hard and cold for the kids. We then installed Pergo laminate floors, and we LOVE them. They were inexpensive, easy to install, easy to clean, and they look great. Best of all they provide a much warmer surface to play on and have more cushion when kids fall...which kids tend to do a lot. The five year light commercial warranty means we know they can hold up to the kids.

      Pretty Floors
We are very happy with our purchase, they look great and were easy to install. I had read reviews saying some boxes were damaged, but I guess we were lucky cause ours arrived in good condition. I wasn't sure about the color, but it looks great once its all down. We use to have carpet, so we are much happier with this laminate. It looks like real wood and is very easy to keep clean. It's nice because this flooring already has padding attached so we didn't have to worry about putting the padding down. So overall I would recommend this product, we really like it.

        Great Floor!
We purchased this flooring for our kids' bedrooms. Carpet and kids (at least our kids) don't go well together. It looks fantastic. It's definitely difficult to tell that it's laminate and it feels nice under foot. The color is great too. It really brightens up the rooms that it is in. I gave it an average rating for installation, but this is just based on my observation. We had a professional carpenter install it and after watching him work I don't think installation would be something my husband and I could have done on our own. We love this product so much we want to floor our entire house in it!

18 months later and we couldn't be happier!
My boyfriend and I used this to replace the dingy, dirty carpet in our living room and hallway in the fall of 2012. At the time we had a puppy and cat - now 18 months later we have 2 rowdy dogs, and 2 rowdy cats. Trust me, this floor DOES NOT SCRATCH. It is the lowest maintenance surface we have in a house that has a combination of laminate, tile, and carpet. When we did the install the only major project we'd taken on was installing the fence around our backyard (100% our design, labor, everything - sweat equity!) and we really weren't totally sure how the floor project would go, as neither of us had ever redone floors from start to finish. But it turned out to be a relatively easy process. He made the cuts and I laid out the randomized pattern & snapped everything into place. The bigger spaces went quickly, finishing the hall and trim took a little longer. For a few hundred square feet, it took us 2 weekends to complete the install, from demo to finish product. All in all we are incredibly happy with the product and value. The floor feels solid, looks great, and is more durable than some hardwood options. This spring we will be replacing the carpet in our master suite and this pergo will be what replaces it - and at a lower price/sf than what we purchased in 2012!

        Pleased so far
My husband and father in law have been working on installing this flooring in our house for the last two days. They say that installation has been fairly easy as other reviewers have stated. I love the look! We have two active kids so we chose laminate over other options for the durability factor. It really does look like real hardwood.

        Great Flooring
We had 900 sq. ft. of Alexandria Walnut installed in our main living areas where we once had carpet and vinyl. It looks just like wood and what a difference it makes!!!! We spent almost 3 months looking for a laminate for this area but couldn't find anything to compare - quality or pricewise. The installers we hired said it was one of the best laminate products they've installed and had no problem with the click and lock planks as others have mentioned. They completed the whole job in less than 2 days and it looks beautiful. This Pergo XP product was on sale at the time so we really saved a lot of money.
