My neighbor and I share a common wall in our home. She could hear my TV so once I put up the panel she could not hear a sound from the TV. Great product. Was a slight odor but it went away in just a couple of hours.

Fishy Smell!
I purchased these to help with soundproofing in our conference room. The came out of the package smelling HORRIBLE! We let them "air out" for a week before painting & the smell was still bad. We were hoping that once painted the smell would go away - wishful thinking, we really wanted these to work. The smell is still unbearable. One panel smells bad enough but 6 in one room was enough to make everyone vomit. I'm calling customer service next to get a refund - all $800.

Panels came with some dents in the corners from shipping,...
Panels came with some dents in the corners from shipping, could have been packaged better. Chemical smell was strong at first but I left them in the garage for a couple weeks and it subsided. When I painted these panels it noticeably reduced acoustical dampening.

The method in which the panels are painted can affect the sound absorbing qualities. Brush/roller painting and spray can painting are not recommended. Use of an airless paint sprayer with a fine tip is the recommended method for painting these panels. Care should be taken not to flood out areas with too much paint that the fiber weave becomes filled. Thank you for your review!

Don't do it. All of them showed up damaged. Every corner dented, large gouges in each panel, I ordered over 10 and literally all 10 were badly damaged. The other sizes showed up fine for the most part. Stick to the smaller squares or rectangles.

I would give these a 5..but these yellow ones did...
I would give these a 5..but these yellow ones did have a strong odor. I had to let them air out for about a week on my patio. I have 4 sets of the red ones and they never had an Odor.
These products are wonderful for drowning out your neighbor,share a wall. Going to buy more to cover whole wall.

I am a counselor and wanted noise absorption to protect my clients’ privacy. Another medical office is just next to mine. I had hoped that using these panels would help block sound but sadly they did not really work.

Hello Jean, Thank you for your review! The Acoustic Sound Absorbing Wall Panels help to absorb sound that is produced within the same room of which they are installed. Sound transmission through a wall will depend on the actual wall assembly.

Good at keeping noise in the room, they do not prevent noise from other rooms (i.e. a neighbor snoring). Combined with a white-noise machine they are effective. Installation was easy for 1 person, took about 1.5 hours total.
