I read from other reviewers that the panels has a very strong smell. So; I opened the box outside in my front porch. While opening the box I started sniffling and sneezing (many times) then I felt sick. So, the next day I returned the panels to home depot! Very disappointed and NOT sure what stars I need to rate this product?

so ordered these to home depot in my area after reading people getting corners damaged out the box. this; should be in store, as dealing with noise pollution increases. the corners were damaged

The product itself is great. hung on the wall in a large open area at our church (actually 4 of the 48"x48" and 2 - 24"x48")) and now lots of people can be in the room talking without the echo issues we had before. Not hard to hang on the wall and look good. The ground shipping company for the 48"x48" panels was horrible. Missed 2 appointments they scheduled to deliver and then just showed up unannounced after being over a week late on the delivery.

All panels were damaged - corner slightly crushed

Work really well. I was worried about potential smell given some of the reviews but not apparent at all.

Using 4 of this size along with 2 24"x24" for an office which is about 400 sq. ft. They work really well and were easy to install. At first I was concerned that some of the reviews refer to an odor but we did not notice anything.

The size and product met expectation.

Not a sound absorber. You would need a measuring device to see and then feel there is a result.

I ordered 12 panels (6 cases, 2 per case). Of the 12 panels, 3 were damaged. I am disappointed. We made due with repairing 2 of the panels. One was very damaged, so I will return it to a Home Depot location, hoping to get a replacement.

They are helping to cut down on the amount of noise at our reception desk.

Mounted a couple of these on the wall to deaden sound around a recording work station. Way overpriced if not on sale, IMHO.

the grey panels worked out great. (The white panels I ordered keep coming in damaged - 3 times.)

Does not work as expected. Furthermore, I only received the two panel. Not the hardware to install. Have left several messages with the number provided and have not received a call back.

The panels had a nauseating chemical smell so unfortunately we returned the panels.

I purchased 5 pairs of panels - 2 white (paintable) and 3 black. The panels are really nice and fulfill a need that I have but the packaging is inadequate and 4 pairs of white in a row have come in damaged and needed to be replaced. (the white ones are less forgiving when dinged. Given that it is not possible to get these delivered undamaged, I don't recommend buying these white panels.

These sound panels worked out great. We used one large circle on each wall and it noticeably reduced the echo in our small conference room. Easy installation.

These sound panels are designed to be mounted on a room wall so they are covered very nicely with fabric. My application was to line the inside of an air conditioner return to reduce the noise generate by the squirrel cage fan. The amount of reduction was substantial.

I would have rated five stars if it was ceiling mountable with included hardware.

Ok, so ordered two batches of these. $4000 worth to be exact. These are not packed well at all and UPS tears up the boxes so multiple have dented corners. As for the paintable part, they do not take paint evenly. I guess it works for our use, so they look kind of textured, but my guess is most people don't want this. BOTTOM LINE--Pack them better. Find a better shipper. Multiple people are saying the exact same thing. These cost too much to come out dented. FIGURE IT OUT!

Can be cut to fit. Cut with an electric knife or saber saw. If cutting wear a particle mask - try to avoid breathing saw dust. These can be placed out of sight on top of a bookshelf or china cabinet. Wherever they are in a room they will absorb the sound. I bought 2 to start with because they are pricey thinking if I didn't achieve the desired results that I would buy 2 more. But I am very pleased with the results from just 2. Our great room, 25' X 30', has cathedral ceilings so the echo was noticeable. Also, works for keeping sound from bedrooms separated by a wall from the living room. This result was from only the 2 Panels I had placed in the living room. Who knew?!

The outgassing on this is terrible. I feel like a respirator is required. Not fit for a place where living people or animals are present. I was dizzy and nauseous until I took it down and put onto my porch.

The corners were damaged. Returned them to the store for a refund.
