Easy install, pop-riveted it to the gutter, ran the wire between the drip edge and the gutter and up the soffit. Connected to a Hunter unit without a problem.

While it seemed a good idea, the rain sensor integration in the B-Hyve irrigation controller is sketchy at best. You get no indication at the controller or on your smartphone software that it is engaged and worked UNTIL it skips a watering cycle due to it working. Testing is problematic.

The original sensor I purchased was defective. I didn't find that out until after I ran the wire ...
The original sensor I purchased was defective. I didn't find that out until after I ran the wire through my eave, attic and down the wall to my timer! Fortunately Home Deport didn't require I remove and return the wire!
Therefore I highly recommend that you test the sensor switch BEFORE you install it. Either use a conductivity meter or simply temporarily wire it in and test it while it's in your hand not on the eave or gutter.

This is the second rain sensor I bought. It is not yet installed - but I've installed the same a year ago and I expect the new one to work like the first -perfect. I have 2 sprinkler systems installed - the second is new and only for shrubs and flowers but needs a rain sensor too.
