We wanted a light that looks rustic but would not rust.
We wanted a light that would give our home a more cabin look. We are 25 miles from the coast, up in the hills. The style was perfect for our place in the woods. They have the look we wanted, with a price that was a great value. Installation was easy enough. And they function without flaw. The light sensor turns the light on when approaching the deck making it easy to see the steps and door lock. The light looks so good!

This is the worst light I ever purchased. It looks ok but is not made well, the motion sensor dose not adjust no matter how much you turn it. It dose not even go on when my dog walks by now I have to go and move in front of for her to have light. I will be changing it when I get the time. I suggests that you not buy this light.

      Bought 3 of these then paid for them to be installed. They DO NOT work. The lights just turn off/on at random. The timer can be set from 6 seconds to 6 minutes. Forget that, they stay on about 5 seconds before going off whatever you set them at. Does anyone at Home Depot actually do product research before selling total garbage like this on line. You’d NEVER get away with that in UK.

        We picked this product for the style and durability on...
        We picked this product for the style and durability on a coastal home. Overall it met expectations except the light would cycle on and off. Bought another and it did the same. In order to keep the style I did some experiments and found that the ambient light photocell was "seeing" reflected light. I made a light shield which encircles the fixture below the motion sensor out of white aluminum flashing and it now works great! This is a design defect. Now very happy but gave it a 1 since I had to redesign the product.

        It does sound as if the photocell is picking up reflective light, causing the light to shut off and create a cycle where it blinks on and off. Double check the bulbs being used. Using bulbs with higher wattage than the 60 Watt maximum, may be causing the photocell to pick up excess light.         We picked this fixture due to the nautical style. Unfortunately it continuously cycled on and off when it was first installed. Bought another and it performed similarly. Since it matched all our other lamps, I did some experiments and determined that the ambient light photocell was "Seeing" the light from reflections off the surface below. I made a shade out of white aluminum flashing which encircles the fixture below the motion sensor, painted the inside flat black and it now works fine. While I'm very happy with the outcome this is a design defect so I gave it one star.

The motion sensing part works from a long distance away which is nice however because it is mounted in an enclosed porch, the light goes on and off because it thinks its light is daylight. Sometimes is works perfectly and sometimes I feel I am at a disco.

If the photocell picks up light as it comes on it would cause it to turn off immediately since the fixture would think it is daylight.
