This door was easy to install. We purchased the door with blinds in the glass which we love but the blinds get stuck sometimes on one side going up or down. You have to raise and lower a few times to straighten out the blind. Also we removed the rubber bumper up in the top inside corner bc first of all it looks like a temporary piece and secondly it prevented door from opening all the way. But then when we would open door, it would hit the magnet clasps that raise and lower the blinds. So we called Masterpiece and they said the bumper should stay!! But the door won’t open all the way so you are shorting yourself door width. Seems like bad design.

The previous owner installed pella gliding doors. Turns out the glass is not replaceable. And they don’t seem to be able to sell me a replacement door. That fits. So I have to replace the whole unit for 4000 dollars.

Great doors

The actual sliding door is fine and even though the lock can be a bit temperamental, we're happy with the purchase. The problem that we have is with the MasterPiece screen door. It is heavy, does not roll well (more like a wrestling match every time we need to open or close it) and scratched the entire track that it rides on. Now, less than 2 months after the installation, the track on the door frame for the screen has broken. We plan on calling MasterPiece to see what can be done. The screen will not close without lifting it over the broken track. This is not what we expected.

Seems like a solid slider. I installed myself and was fairly easy. We will see how it handles the Minnesota winters. I think it's a good deal for the price.

We got this door because we loved the style and price and we are moving to white trim on our house; however, once the door is installed next to actual white trim it's easy to see that this door is offwhite!!! Terrible surprise to discover AFTER the contractor has finished the install

I was hesitant to buy a sliding door but felt that this gave me the look I wanted at a quarter of the price so I’d try it. It is bigger than the French door I had replaced the original sliding door from the 1960s with so we had to tear out the frame we had put in 12 years ago. Good thing we did. There was a lot of rot we knew nothing about. This door is not only an upgrade to the more expensive door we took out but we no longer have to worry about the door rotting and causing rot in our home. It’s opened up our kitchen and is absolutely beautiful!! This would be a great choice at any price, but is an excellent door for the money!!

This door is great quality. There is a latch at the top that lets you lock the door at any width you choose. Very smooth to open and close.

Absolutely not white. While this is a beautiful door, it is not a white door. It is off white or cream colored. If you are installing this next to white trim, it will be really obvious that the door is not white. Even the bottom flat part of the door is whiter than the actual door. We had this professionally installed today, so there was no going back. Also, the locking mechanism is very difficult to use; you have to hold the door closed really hard to get it to lock. It is a much better door than what we had, so it is an upgrade... just not the right color.

Great door for the price. My contractor thought is was an Anderson.

My father and law and I were able to install this last weekend in a day and it turned out great. Solid construction, weighty doors, and a track for a screen to put in. At first the doors were very hard to move but after a week and some silicone lube they operate effortlessly. Make sure your rough opening has enough depth and if not mount some wood framing around the opening so the lip can be supported. total depth of the unit is about 5.75". My only issue is that the locking mechanism takes too much force with the key to lock, but I'm sure some graphite will fix that. Definitely worth not spending $950 to have it installed, you can do it yourself.

Don't be afraid to purchase this door. Actually I'd give it a 4.5 star rating. The door feels, and looks of a high end quality built door. The sliding door has a little heft to it (feels solid), while movement is with ease. Love the built in locking pin that will keep the door from opening when closed. Sure beats the scrap 2x4 I had to place in the lower track to guard against a forced opening on the previous door. No draft(s) either, Yea! Looks great, feels great, functions well.

For the overall door I would give 5 stars on just appearance alone. However one of the corner joints was a little off. No big deal and I did already have the old door out of the house. Installed the door per instructions with the door on OCT 13 2019 Have been chasing a water leak in the bottom corner under the stationary panel for about a week and a half. Reapplying silicone over and over around the door trying to locate a hole. Well today we had enough and got out the garden hose after yet again applying silicone all around the door. Come to find out it is leaking by the stationary panel and the frame leaking down under the door. Sprayed up and down the panel and that is the only spot that leaks. Water is coming in by the stationary panel and frame. The side frame must not be sealed the the bottom where the water is working its way by and running out from under the door. (On a side note we installed this door as it arrived together. We never pulled either panels out) Very much unsatisfied with this product in the area of quality craftsmanship and the fact the white outside face was covered with silicone overage. I had a video to upload but it will not load.

For the money you can't beat this door. You would have to pay over twice as much to get the same quality and features in a big name door. The unit is heavy, but once it's in, slides like a dream. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful door that is well made. The satin nickel handle looks great and is easy for little hands to open and close. Second locking.feature is a bonus to security.

I purchased two sliders for living room and bedroom balcony. They look very nice from the interior and the sandwiched blinds are convenient. Here are some things you should be aware of...the base does not sit flush to floor so you have to be careful to step up; the base and track easily collect dirt so it tends to look dirty and will clog the rails making it hard to slide or fully shut (must continually keep clean and clear of dirt and debris); the blinds do not completely fall to bottom and they tend to get hung inside the window; the plastic on the bottom of the blind slider lever pops off easily if you're not gentle; the top latch is very hard to engage and must be exactly aligned; and the door lock sometimes does not catch so you must be careful to check that it is engaged.

Good product for the reasonable price. We love the look of the door, we just installed about 5 days ago.

Wonderful door. Outstanding quality. Looks beautiful. Love it!!

We have had our door for about a year, really liked the door. Very energy efficient, but now have a problem. On the bottom where the door slides, the rubber piece has come off. Not sure if this is a door jam. Now the door feels like it is going to fly out of your hand when you open or close it. Not sure how to put the rubber piece back in or if it needs replaced.

The door was so heavy I could not help lift it. We had to ask friends/loved ones for help to install it. Got it in pretty easy with enough hands and it is GREAT! The MASTERPIECE screen door that we ordered to match it sucks! Not worth the money. The door itself is wonderful. good price. nice smooth open/close. The lock is a little funny. Even though the door is perfectly level, you have to hold the door just right in order to lock it.

The door is magnificent. I only wish it came with a screen. I will need to special order. What do you recommend?

Very nice door, easy to install!

This is a massive good door !!! but ...the door arrived with two defects: 1. the door lock turn the opposite direction. 2. the screen door is installed with the mesh towards the inside of the house.

The MP sliding door was delivered to my home, the packaging was great, not a mark on the door. The door install smooth and shimmed up and is working just fine. The only draw back was with the sliding door screen unit we purchased, the handle / lock assembly broke after the first day. Other then that, we love it .

This appears to function well, and looks great. However, the specifications are incorrect as the height on the door measures 79.25" which is quarter of an inch shorter than specs so it took some extra interior trim to hide the gap at top. This door would be a great fit if it measured 81.25" to fit a standard 82" rough opening. Great door for the price though!
