This door took about 2.5 hours to install after paint. Door assembly was fairly easy. They never mentioned putting on the handle. But that was self-explanatory. Issues came from the recommended drill bit size. Screws were hard using the 1/8 pilot holes. Had to go up a size. Spacers have the door with about a 1/2” gap. Some kits apparently came with a stencil for the track placement. I just used a ruler and measured about 15 times until it was close. Not a terrible job, but not easy.

Fantastic door and it was easy to install.

Rude driver - calls me and I informed hin doors need to be drooped at front office and he states no he’s by the gym and is just going to drop them off. The gym at this property is on the opposite side of the buildings where we are working. He dropes them and leaves. The boxes are dmaged and look like there might be some parts missing.

We ended up painting our door, but it is very nice. Would purchase again.

It’s a great door. Perfect for what we wanted. Super happy with it. Don’t hesitate, just buy it; you’ll be glad you did.

Within a week of the door being hung it started to pull away from the hardware and drag on the floor. This was also without it barely being used as our room project was still underway and the doorway wasn’t being used. I can’t imagine how quick it would’ve fallen apart with normal regular use.

This door gives any room a quick upgrade in style! So easy to assemble! I used this sliding door to replace the original door dividing the master bathroom and master closet. This sliding door helps save space especially for the closet!

I purchased the door to replace the builder door on my master bathroom because the swing door took up so much room and I remodeled the shower and new floor. My contractor who installed it for me was extremely impressed with the quality and the fact it came with everything you need to install no matter what the situation the only thing is I did have to paint it but very happy with the purchase.

Very nice door. Solid heavy, and decent hardware . I bought 2 of these and installed on a single bypass rail came out nice. Rails need to be lag bolted to wood studs as they are heavy.

This door was the perfect solution to replace a standard closet door in a tight space. I have some moderate DIY ability and was able to follow the included instructions to install this on my own. Please note that you will need to paint the door, it only has a basic primer on it. I used a sprayer, but a standard roller or brush would also work depending on the finish you desire. Also, note that the door is solid and quite heavy. You may need a second person to help move it around and hang it. Everything is included to install the door on concrete or drywall via wooden studs. A note on the guide options for the bottom of the door: There are several options included, but what you will be able to use will depend heavily on how close to the floor the door hangs when it is installed. I goofed up and was off by about 1/4 inch. The door was too high to use either of the floor-mounted options and I ended up having to install the wall-mounted guide instead. Not a huge issue, but something to be aware of when you're measuring and marking the wall for the rail installation. It's been up for a few weeks now, with kids using the closet daily. It works perfectly and there have been no issues.

All good, install was easy, the door pretty heavy tho did not expect that.

We had the door less than a year and the top of the door cracked and the for started dragging on the ground. Now we are looking for an alternative.

The barn door is exactly as shown. Needed a new door to close off my kitchen from the living room and it looks good. Painted the door white to match the other doors in the house. I did have to buy an additional handle to put on the other side of the door.

Door went up well and looks good. But was not primed white, more of a off white to tan. It took 2 coats of paint to cover well.

We purchased this door in July. The installation was wasy and it functioned perfectly, until about 1 month ago. We noticed the door is hanging lower on the right side and realized that the wood is coming apart. Unfortunately this lack of quality has caused us to get stuck in our master bathroom a few times. Wanted to love this door, but would not buy again.

Very easy to in stall

This product is doing the job I needed it to do. One down fall is the opening on the left side between the wall and door leaves a peephole.

This door was purchased to separate my laundry room from the hallway/kitchen. My goal was to keep laundry room noise to a minimum. This door is heavy and does a great job keeping noise in the laundry room. It slides nicely to open/close, and is very attractive (although we did have to paint it). We installed it ourselves, and installation was pretty easy. I would recommend this door....giving 4 stars, rather than 5, because we had to paint it. For the money, it should have come painted.

Door looks and operates great!

Really nice, solid door.. Looks great. Took about an hour or so to install. Two people makes the process easy. Comes primed and needs to be painted, which gives you the choice to paint any color you want.

Aesthetically, this door has redeeming qualities- sadly, that's where the quality ends :( Before this door could ever be hung we noticed that it was coming apart at the seams! Not something you would expect from a $350 door. The only way this door could serve any utility would be to reglue/fortify the cheap veneer wood panel that has come undone. Further, the door track guides appear to be flimsy plastic - wonder how long they will last? The supplied track mounting screw/anchors were dysfunctional -we opted for a more secure mounting solution. Home Depot might rethink association with products of this inferior quality, it compromises brand credibility. I 'll be seeking refund/credit

I used this door as a second door to a bathroom that previously had two doors going into it; one from the hallway, and one from the guest bedroom. This barn door was the perfect solution to having both doors open into the bathroom. I put a French sticker on it as you can see in the picture:

Good quality product. Looks great and easy to setup.

The door does looks good and the hardware is very nice. However there are some problems that take away from the overall appearance and DIY experience. The first door we purchased had a large blemish from the factory. They simply shipped a door with missing paint and rough particle board showing right on the face of the door. We returned that one and got another without question. This door looked ok until I hung it and the door is bowed lengthwise so the gap is uneven when you look at it from the edge. Hopefully it will straighten out after hanging while. The last thing is the standoffs are so long the door is 1” from the door frame leaving a large and unfinished appearing gap. I will probably buy or make new stand-offs that are shorter to move the door closer to the frame or trim it out to fill the gap. It would be nice to have a shorter set of standoffs. What we thought would be an easy and exciting addition has become a bit of a pain and not as visually appealing as we thought it would be. Also, if you have a 36” opening, this door will barely cover it. Along with the problem of the 1” gap you can see right into the room.

This is my 2nd Masonite Barn door install, the first one was K-Bar Auburn Barn Door Kit, which was a very easy install. This door installation was not as easy. The instructions are very good, however, the rollers on this door are mounted on the top of the door where on the Auburn door they are mounted on the front of the door. I understand this is a different style of door thus the difference in the hardware. The holes for the rollers were not drilled straight causing the rollers to be crooked. Trying to re-drill the holes to make them straight caused the hole to be too large. Ended up just drilling my own holes and continued with no issues. The door looks amazing.

Perfect for a bathroom remodel on a flip house.

I just purchased and installed this door and so far we are very pleased with it, especially how quiet it is rolling back and forth. I have one complaint that I'll get to below. I bought this door to replace a conventional door into our master bathroom that took up too much interior space. Installation was on a drywalled wall and was pretty straight forward, although I found the instructions on positioning the mounting board more confusing than they needed to be. I finally laid the assembled door down and took an actual measurement from the bottom of the door to the midpoint of the rail and added the 1/2" gap I wanted. That way no chance of mis-positioning the mounting board. Our main complaint is with the spacers. The ones that come with the door hang it too far from the wall because they are designed for direct installation on the wall rather than on a 3/4" mounting board. So, to compensate for this overly large gap, I cut out my own 3/4" thick by 1 1/4" square spacers from some left over oak stock that I had. I drilled off-centered holes for the mounting lag bolts so that when installed, the spacers would not interfere with the rollers. I substituted my wood spacers for the metal ones that came with the door and it now hangs just as we wanted it to. Eventually we'll paint the door, mounting board and spacers to match the wall. I recommend to Masonite that they provide both short and long spacers with their kits to deal with the differences in mounting approaches.

What a great option for a door. This is our first “barn door” and my first attempt to hang a door. This turned out to be a great choice on both counts. The installation was actually as easy as the video indicated. One note: on the Home Depot site and item description it does not make it clear that it includes the header board option. I am happy to say it IS included in the kit! Nothing needed to be purchased to complete the installation. Very happy with my Masonite choice and Home Depot.
