Works fine with my LED Lights, plus Wiring Tip.
The instructions say for incandescent lights only, but I installed this unit to control two LED ceiling fixtures in our kitchen. I am happy to report that so far, they work great with full dimming range. It's too soon to say anything about how durable they are, but so far I am very pleased. Wiring tip: the instructions do not mention which wire goes to the left slider and which goes to the right. Well, I can tell you that the right slider operates the red wire. No more trial and error needed.

    Just what we wanted
We are updating a 1970's home and this is just what we wanted. End result looks good plus it was to install and a reasonable price.

    Garbage! Don't waste your money!
Bought 6 of these & ALL of the dimmer knobs broke off within months, even in our 2 guest rooms that are rarely used. Also, after apprx. 8 months, one dimmer broke completely & now my light will not turn up. The buzzing of the fans is also an issue as stated in other reviews. Absolute garbage!

Works great but make sure to install them after walls are finished
New installation in our living room allowed for an opportunity to install a dimmer. We were able to install a dual pole to fit the dimmer in place and it worked great with spot lights. We installed 6 spot lights and every set has a dimmer. The only thing wrong was that the single dimmer gets stuck or harden. Not sure if it's due to installation prior to finishing the walls.

      Good dimmer
This is an easy install and looks good. If you are looking for a multi dimmer this is a good choice.

        great
I followed the instructions no problem to install, Ifound the switch strong sturdy and clicked when light and fan was off. The switch plate which goes inside the outer cover fit snug, overall very happy with product.

I can understand how you feel and I apologize for the problem you encountered with this Skylark Dual dimmer. It sounds like you are using this to dim your lighting and to control the speed of your fan. Unfortunately, this particular unit is not rated to handle a fan motor and would be contributing to the noise that it is now making. Lutron does, however, manufacturer a dual fan and light control in this style that will work for your application, model number S2-LFSQH-WH. This should take care of the issue you are having with the fan making a humming noise.

        Works ok - expensive
Using it for two sets of LED indoor floods. It dIms great over full range. I agree with another reviewer that far too much force is required to turn the switches off (when I first installed it I thought that it didn't have an off position). The instructions don't tell you which wire (red or yellow) is controlled by which switch (left or right). It required trial and error to get it the way I wanted. Very expensive for what it is (nothing else similar on the market though).

good for 2 lights dimming in single gang
able to save space in one gang for to dimmer. Problem is a price cost($32.99) more than fan/light switch($29.99). I would think low amp drawing light switches are lower price. Rather than fan switch.???

Poor quality and does not last long
The little slider buttons come off too easily. The detent between dim and off requires far too much force. After a few months, the range of dimming decreased. After about a year, the range of dimming was almost non-existent, but on/off still worked. After two years or so, one of the poles would shut off randomly. I used this for 120Watts of incandescent light on one side, and about 240W on the other.

It does what I need it to.
There's not much to say about it, it controls both a ceiling fan and the light in the middle of the fan as needed.

A great dual dimmer in a single gang space for LIGHTS.
This dimmer is designed to control 2 sets of LIGHTS and only taking up a single gang space. The other reviewer did not purchase the right controller - He should have purchased the dimmer/fan control . This dual light dimmer is a 5 star item.

Fan Slide allows humming from thf fan until all the way up.
Because of the loud humming at slower speed, the fan is unusable. I have since purchased a hunter fan switch from Home Depot that I know works. Also the light side does not go on until halfway and then can back down to dim.

Hi Rich, I apologize that you had a poor experience with this product. I reached out to the manufacturer for more information on this issue and below is their response to you: “This Dimmer is designed to control two lights and should never be used as a fan control. It is not UL rated for this application and it will not work and could damage the fan motor. Instead we recommend you can use this product –“Lutron Skylark 300-Watt Single-Pole Fan Control and Dimmer Model # S2-LFSQH-WH” which can be used for fan control and as a Dimmer.” Please refer to the below URL for further details on this product. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100059262/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=100059262&storeId=10051. Hope this information is helpful. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank You, THD Customer Service
