Use 6011 rods if you are welding metal that isn't brand new or if you can't clean the metal before welding. These are the best rods out there, better than the 6011 rods at a welding supply store. Pay attention to the size of the rod, 1/8 x 14 is more rod than 3/32 x 12, and they are both the same price.

Sticks welded as if they had been exposed to moisture. Ended up purchasing another brand from Lowe’s. Much better. Sorry Home Depot and Lincoln

Just the perfect stick to weld

This is my favorite 6011 plain and simple.

Really needed 3/32 rods, but this is what my store had in stock. They burn fine, not too much slag.

I do not usually give bad reviews but this welding rod caused me more problems than solutions. This rod is very hard to light off and when you finally get it lit then you better burn the whole thing as it will never relight again. I ran out of good rod and was in a pinch so I picked this up to keep the build going and fought it to the point that I ran in and bought the good stuff from the weld supply store. I burned over 40lbs of rod on that building and couldn't even use 10 sticks of this stuff. I would not buy this rod ever again. I don't know i it was just really old rom being on the shelf or just garbage but I do know it was a waste of time and money.

Rod was wet at one point. Didn't not run correct after the first 4" was consumed.

This product and this retailer met our every expectation.
