Love it. Moved up from a 6’ and it’s very stable and the backrest is very necessary.

Product arrived in good condition as expected. So far, very pleased with this entry-level kayak. I am small 4 ft. 10” female—good seating fit for me and easy for me to drag in and out at water’s edge. Good kayak if using on calm lakes and speed is not a goal.

I like this kayak a lot. The size is great. I can put it in the back of my car. It’s comfortable, price was good, and durable. The only thing is something about its design makes it slower than other kayaks I’ve used. Great for one who is okay with taking their time.

For leisurely lake outings these are a very good deal! I bought them for something different to do outdoors during the pandemic. I would not recommend for rivers or ocean trips unless the water is very calm.

Clip for seat broke first time we adjusted it. Lifetime was quick to send replacement part. Very nice for calm water. Kids and adults can use and have fun. Easy to carry and store. Bottom gets scratched easily, so best not to drag over anything.

We ordered 2. One came in perfect condition, the other came with a manufacturer defect. Tried reaching out to Lifetime and they wanted me to just exchange it with Home Depot instead. I will do so, but I'm frustrated by this inconvenience that could have been avoided if they had just checked their kayak better before shipping it to me.

This kayak will never win a race but we have used them tons this summer. They are easy and light to load into the back of our SUV with the door strapped down... a two minute job. They are comfortable with adjustable back rest. The foot rests suit our grand kids and us as there are many, and they are indestructable! We have spent many happy hours on the water this summer and will in years to come. Great purchase!

We bought two of these boats to give our kids something fun to do during the "socially distanced" coronavirus summer. They loved them! And so did we (the parents!). The boats are perfect for new paddlers to go solo, and they are big enough for a parent and small kid to ride together together. Plus the customer service at Lifetime was great (we needed a replacement part, and they sent it right away)! If you are looking for long kayak trips, you'll need a nicer boat that tracks better. But for some basic fun out on the water (at a reasonable price), you can't beat the Lotus!

Very stable and comfortable to paddle! Good buy! I would recommend this for any beginner.

Very stable kayak. My 11 yr old and her friends love them. We had 1 missing part on our order. I contacted Lifetime and they resolved the issue immediately.

Home Depot experience was excellent. I had expected the kayak to have a loop handle centered on a side. It is awakard to carry because the handle is in the center between the legs on the top. This means it has to be carried close to my body and my arms are not very long. Thanks for asking.

Bought this for my 12-year-old granddaughter. The seat that folds up and down is comfortable. There’s a place for the feet for different ages and lengths. I’ve also used it and its good for an adult. Great little kayak for the money. Comes with the paddle. It arrived well wrapped and protected.

We bought 6 of your kayaks (4 smaller and 2 larger) almost 10 years ago for our children and grandchildren to use on our pond. They have been used and sometimes abused, but still look new and shinny! Without a doubt your customer support is top notch.... when one of the grandkids unscrewed the plugs... one quick phone call and you had replacement plugs in the mail to us! I received this as a gift, but it was missing the strap to hold the seat in place. When I called customer service after a very long wait, they said that they would send the replacement part via 2 day shipping. That was Thursday. Today is Tuesday and I am still waiting. I called again and they said that they were sorry. Needless to say, I will never order anything from this company again. Mistakes happen, but own up to it and make it right. Saying "sorry" three times doesn't help the customer.

Lightweight but sturdy. Very comfortable and balanced. Easy for one person to carry to the water. Highly recommend it.

I've had my Lotus for 2 years now and can't find anything wrong with it. The stability on the water is great. I've had it in river rapids (not large) and paddled through currents with no problem. It maneuvers easily where ever I've had it and is easy to paddle, my arms don't even get tired! I am a 63 year old woman and can load/unload by myself and get it to the water w/o a problem. I purchased a "leash" for the paddle so I can't lose it when I'm out, especially by myself. My first trip out one of the fasteners on the seat popped out. Customer service immediately answered my email and sent me the replacement parts for free! I was back on the water by the weekend. Can't say enough good things about the Lotus or the Lifetime customer service, top shelf!

I've kayaked for many years, and in buying a new one, my needs were specific: at 4'11" I need something small and lightweight that I can fit into my hatchback; I wanted a sit-atop because rotator cuff injuries make it difficult to lever myself out of my old sit-in; and I wanted a kayak that handles as well as a short one can on the lakes and quiet rivers in my area of Wisconsin. This kayak fits all three requirements. Nice paddle, too.

One of the kayaks I ordered was missing a part off of it. I contacted Lifetime and they were very helpful in resolving my my issue.

I bought 2 of the lotus 8 ft sit on top kayaks two years ago. After much use the seats have broken. This company response was very prompt and they are sending replacement seats. Very happy with the service and will definitely buy their products in the future!

Had kayak a few days and handle broke and they had one in the mail and to me in about a week .

I recently had lost the attachment that holds the shock cord in place on my kayak. When I contacted the customer service dept, they were quick to reply and notify me that, they located the replacement part and would be mailing it to me FREE of charge! Thankful that there are still some companies that will stand behind their products! Great job lifetime.

I bought this 2 months ago and am super pleased with it. I gave it a 4/5 because 1-it doesn’t have carry straps on the sides which sometimes makes it awkward to move and 2-it’s wide and stable which is a trade-off for streamline and easy to paddle. I would buy it again. Suits me to a tee ( older and new to kayaking).
