3's A CHARM !!!!! Ordered 2 different Lasko tower fans (model #203067760 and #100405670) before ordering this one. Returned both of the other fans. This one is great!!! It has 3 speeds and blows out a great amount of air, very powerful fan. I'm very satisfied. Would absolutely recommend this fan.

Liked it a lot easy to assemble , powerful , quite , and sturdy ! only 1st speed used and enough air to flow !!!

We had a less powerful Lasko that was very quite and worked well in our theater room to keep the breeze blowing. We took it outside on our deck and you could barely feel it. This hybrid fan, however, offers a breeze you can feel across the deck. Also, the noise of the fan is not the choppy sound you would get from an open fan, but more of a lower level hum that we do not find distracting. It's overkill for a bedroom, and perfect for larger or open spaces while still providing a great form factor. Assembly note: The base only fits one way, so having one screw go in is not a sign of success. Read the directions and you'll get it right the first time.

Even at highest setting, it is quiet. the air flow is great and does a good job.

Excellent fans for the money. Purchased 2 for upstairs bedrooms and they cool the rooms well.

The fan was powerful then any other fan I have ever purchased. I actually ended getting a total of three fans because it was so great. I was very satisfied with this product and I have referred friends.

Though the fan functions properly, it was received in its box which looked like it had been tossed around a few times. There are several cracks in the plastic around the base, and the remote control was shattered. But, again, the fan functions properly. If it wasn't such a hassle and I didn't need this fan to stay cool, I'd send it back.

The Lasko 40 In. Hybrid Fan is an excellent product. I rarely use air conditioning as I prefer the breeze of a fan. Previous research made me the owner of a Lasko 42 In. Windcurve and a Lasko High Velocity Blower tower fan. I decided that I needed something for the living room that was somewhere in between the wind power of my other fans. My research led me to the 40 In. Hybrid Fan. I love that it has quite a bit of wind power without being overwhelming. On it's two higher settings it may be a bit loud for conversation or tv but for me the low setting is enough anyway. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this fan on May 31st, 2015, after seeing a review from another customer and I'm glad I did. My home is old, and doesn't have central AC. I have ceiling fans installed, but really needed a good portable fan. This fan really does blow cool air, even if it's hot inside. It's very powerful, so much so, that I don't need to have it on full speed, which saves energy. I like the night light, although I don't use it. Having a remote control is helpful as well. It was easy to assembly, as it minutes. Great find, and great buy. Reading reviews, can be insightful.

...so bit louder, too. Attractive, functional, versatile. Since it's good quality and a sizeable investment for me compared to other options, I purchased the Home Depot Protection Plan. I didn't need an ionization feature, which this fan doesn't have. I don't use the remote or nightlight features because I don't need them. The fan blows about 10 inches above the floor, so my cat isn't bothered by it. The oscillation range is good enough to cover my entire bedroom. Easy to complete assembly out of box.

This is a nice looking fan. The noisy is very loud, not as described. The fan doesn't produce cold air as others I had had.

Bought the fan for my daughter for Christmas plugged it in and did not work. Returned it.

I love this fan! It gives out cool air, so much so that I have to turn it off around 2:00 a.m. cause it gets to cold. I used in a very large family room and it cools us all. It is also extremely quiet. So happy with it I told my dad and bought one for his family room also.

Very sturdy, produces a good strong breeze, and is reasonably quiet. Has some nice touches, like the nightlight at the bottom. The box it came in was a bit thrashed, but the fan was okay. Minimal assembly, just the base.

Great fan for a large bedroom. Have other fans to circulate window air conditioner and this works the best.

Exterior box was in a very poor shape with one side slashed, the top nearly ripped off, and the interior Styrofoam was broken. Annoyed whoever picked up the fan in the warehouse chose this one. That aside, the fan was in good condition w/ two cosmetic blemishes. I am in the market for a portable AC and was looking to buy it from Home Depot prior to the delivery but now, I most likely won't considering I received such a shoddy item. I would suggest buying this product in-store rather than online. I have another Lasko fan 48" that is quiet but not as strong. In comparison, this fan is shorter, more powerful (the lowest setting is stronger than the highest setting on the Lasko 48" fan) but also noisier. The fan doesn't have a timer setting. I thought it was a waste of money for the backlight of the Lasko name. Both fans have cheap plastic casing which is not a good indication of quality.

Can't imagine a better fan. Did a lot of research but only model could not find in a store to test cooling power. Took a chance and ordered anyway. Totally satisfied! Low setting is quiet yet powerful and high is a small tornado with some fan sound, but not annoying. Will buy a second but waiting to see if next generation will come with timer. Called customer service when trying to decide and they were outstanding...the kind of service you got 20 or 30 years ago. Lasko can't beat!

This moves about twice the air of most other tower fans. The only noise is the air blowing, which increases with speed (3 speeds). You will hear the whoosh of the air but no ticking or other mechanical noises. The on/off button on the top is lighted (blue) and there is an independently controlled lighted Lasko logo on the lower front about 9 inches up, which is a brighter white LED- the on/off button for this light is on the top of the fan with the other controls. The oscillation angle is not particularly wide- maybe 30 degrees, but about average for a tower fan. I am using it for mosquito control and cooling on the back deck, and it's easy to take in and out of the house due to a recessed handle on the top. The base is 12" in diameter, and it is actually more like 39" tall. You have to screw the two-part plastic base together and onto the bottom of the fan. The screws can go in crooked, so be sure to get them straight. That's the poorest part of the design. Looks very elegant and sleek. The remote is quite good and controls all four functions (on/off, oscillation, 3 speeds, and light). It takes two AAA batteries (not included). I was able to control the fan with one click from 20 feet away, from about 15 degrees either side of center. It worked a few feet farther, but then it sometimes needed two or three clicks. Contrast this to my other Lasko fan whose remote must be aimed exactly at the sensor from no more than about six feet away and takes multiple presses to change settings-what's the point of a remote like that? I had to order in-store pickup twice because the fan is packed in a fairly flimsy box with minimal styrofoam packing- the first one looked like the truck ran over it and the fan had a hole and cracks in it. Had to return it for a refund and reorder. The second one survived despite some damage to the box. Both got to the store in two days.

We have been in our new office space for about a year now and have had countless issues with the AC and heat which was never calibrated properly before we moved in. In anticipation of heat problems this spring/summer season, I purchased two of these fans.The day we received them we had a room full of college students and it was terribly hot in our board room. The students were in suits and didn't want to remove their jackets because our HR person was there and they wanted to look professional. Fortunately, the fans were delivered that day but one was damaged. I set up the undamaged one in the board room and let me tell you---that fan performed wonderfully! It cooled off our board room and kept it comfortably cool the rest of the day and it was not on the highest setting. It was not that noisy either. Also, I was able to control the fan with the remote from the front of the board room all the way to the back where the fan was located. I was so impressed that I ordered one for my home.

Works great and plenty of air, but i felt more sound in the living room, i think it is really good for patios.

Got this to replace a different lasko fan. It pushes much more air, but it has a louder blower noise with a higher frequency range of sound. Regardless, the fan keeps me cool and provides white noise.

would not purchase another lasko product, product had to be repaired by my son. This took appox. 4 hrs to complete. The fan was either built with poor quality or was shipped without enough packing. Either way I am not happy about it.

Quiet fan...makes just enough noise to provide white noise for sleeping. I purchased two and will purchase two more soon. Easy to assemble and clean too!

I would recommend this product to many people. This product creates a great cold air flow that circulates throughout a room and a relatively low noise level.

Night Light is very convenient and helpful. Lightweight and easily transported from room to room Only need the 'medium' setting for a nice even, cool breeze. Cools the room really well and quickly.

Really love the design and the looks of the fan . Remote is useable often need to push buttons more than once .. This fan replaced a Honeywell tower fan that I loved and this is superior and a bit expensive , but it is well worth it . I bought 2 . Hopefully they will work for years to come.

Does everything all the others should do. Quiet! Moves just the right amount of air. Love the Led night lites. Remote control is great. Get one!

The HVB wins just slightly. The 40 inch Hybrid moves just as much air as Lasko's highly rated HVB Tower Fans. I purchased both models and I was very impressed with how well the 40 inch Hybrid performed in blowing out air. So if you're looking for a tower fan that can push out a lot of air I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this 40 inch Hybrid Tower Fan or one of the HVB models. These fans are slightly louder than the standard tower fans so keep that in mind when ordering. Cons: There is no timer or fresh air ionizer. The bright blue power light located on top of the 40 inch Hybrid Fan will light up a dark room with a blueish glow. That can be distracting for some people. The fan may prove difficult to clean later on.

I did quite a bit of research on tower fans and decided to order this one since no one carries it at the big box stores. All I can say is wow, it was worth the shipping wait. This fan can blow some air. I like it so much I'm going to order another one here soon.
