[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this about 4 months, primarily making pie dough - am making 2-3 batches a month. Also have a 3.5 cup size which has a lot of zip on both speeds and it makes the perfect pie dough, but I wanted a larger capacity to make 2 crusts at one time. The buttons are hard to push down and the high speed is more of a moderate grind. I find the pie dough butter/flour tends to compact on the bottom of the mixing bowl and does not incorporate well when the water is added. Because the blades don't go as fast as the smaller model, this seems to be the problem for the poor mixing. Still tinkering to see how to make this an effective tool for pie dough. I have not used the slicer.

Wish KitchenAid had a storage container for the 7cup model accessories. Badly needed. Would have given a 5 star rating if it was available.

Used it once and never turned on again was very disappointed

So far it has performed well, both making pie crust and grating a batch of potatoes. Its quieter and lighter and so far am well pleased with its performance.

I previously had a Kitchen Aid Food processor, but had lost the pin that held the slicing disks. With hand and wrist arthritis, this couldn't be easier to use. I was able to adjust the thickness of the vegetable slice that I wanted. Very quick and easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought at Kohl’s and pictures didn’t match my item I got so I was a little disappointed when I found my box only had 1 blade and not 2. Tried to use and first one wouldn’t power on. Exchanged for a new one and it works great. Very quite and I love the exact slice that allows you to change the thickness of slices. I don’t exactly like the chopper it doesn’t get all the pieces chopped equally in size. Also food gets stuck in the middle piece that connects to the blades. It would be nice if that could come out to get washed. Overall I’m happy with how strong and easy it is to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always felt KitchenAid products were of good quality and this is a sturdy appliance, however, the cup was difficult to "seat" and only once was I able to get it in the exact right spot for the machine to work. The instructions do mention that it will not work if the cup is not in the right position but I found it extremely frustrating to get it right and in the end I returned the appliance to the store where I bought it.

I have used this food processor several times now and can say that it has exceeded my expectations. What impresses me most is that it is very quiet when in use. Whether slicing, chopping, or shredding, it is very quiet. With the select a size feature I am finally able to just the right shred for cole slaw. With a fixed blade disc I would just have to take the disc cut. Also the built in feed tube for smaller vegetables like carrots works wonderfully. This allows me to get just the right size grate for carrot bread or cole slaw. I find this perfectly fits my needs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received a KitchenAid food processor as a wedding gift and couldn't be happier with it! It makes preparing meals much easier. We especially like it to make fresh pico-de-gallo, which can be prepped in a matter of minutes. The only down side of it is the learning curve of understanding how to put on the lid correctly to get it to work. Yes, this sounds like a user error problem, which I admit it is, but it just isn't intuitive.

Me and my wife got this as a wedding present. We used it two times, once to cut up a bunch of veggies for a salad and once to cut up some potatoes. And then it broke! After we used it twice. Warranty just expired. Total piece of garbage. Don't buy this item.
