Love it!

Disappointed
I bought this in September to replace a ten year old Black and Decker coffee maker. I wanted something high end and pretty and had to convince my husband that it was worth the money to get a Kitchenaid. By December the clock was losing time so the coffee wasn’t ready when I got up. Then, it stopped working altogether two weeks ago. The pretty pony went in the trash and now an ugly Black and Decker workhorse is on the counter. I’m so disappointed in an expensive appliance with a quality name on it.

Looks great!!

Works very well but could have be designed better.

That is in the back.... you know... the side that/s facing the wall. Yes, you can remove it to fill it, but then that's an extra step. (2) the basket that holds the coffee filter is a little awkward to insert---until after you figure it out. It's okay, but not intuitive. (3) Put the button to start?- No, push it twice--then it'll start? Why?? Makes good coffee though!

My impressions

I like the design and looks of the KitchenAid but the lids and plastic filter basket seem a bit flemsey. The on/off switch also seems a bit hesitant, sometimes I have to push it several times to get it to turn on.

Loses 1-2 cups of water to steam
I generally make 6 cups in the morning. When it’s all said and done, I’m left with a very dark 4 cups because all of the other water has escaped in the form of steam! I have to add more water, which defeats the purpose of setting the timer, since I have to fix it. Also the clock seems to never keep the right time. Not sure what’s up with that

Love this coffee maker but...
I really love Kitchen Aid coffee makers. I had my previous one for almost 3 years. Never had a problem. I bought this one 4 days ago and I'm having an issue with the brew button. It gets stuck when pushed in and won't turn on or off.

Great except no replacement for water filter
We are on our second KitchenAid coffee maker and we love it. We brew 2 pots a day (regular and decaf).
Only issue is I can not find anywhere online or in stores a replacement for the water filter!

Bad Clock Good Coffee Maker!
I bought this as a christmas gift for a family member. She is pleased with it but after about a week the clock is usually about 4-5 minutes behind. So it probably loses about a minute a day.

Disappointed

TERRIBLE PRODUCT

Clock doesn’t keep time
Overall we like the coffee maker but the clock loses a couple minutes a day so I have to reset it every few days. I’m baffled how a digital clock doesn’t keep time. Very frustrating.
