Attractive pop-up drain, sturdy, high quality, works great. A pleasure to use.

Looks and works great and very easy to install, but I was surprised how tight I had to make it to avoid leaks. I tried putty and the provided silicone gasket. Went with the gasket and after 4 tightening attempts, the leaking stopped. I was worried I might crack the sink, but that did not happen. Would have rated 5 stars if the gasket would have sealed sooner. I have installed many drains, but this seemed to require more tightening.

Excellent product. Be sure and use teflon tape on threaded parts.

Description did not say this was an umbrella drain. We were looking for a drain that would sit flat in the sink when closed. This drain sticks up out of the sink even when closed which to me is a very poor design. We opened the box saw that the drain would not sit flat in the bottom of the sink when closed and returned it immediately. The description on all drains should state if they do not fit flat when closed. I don't understand the purpose of a drain that sticks up all of the time I would rather use an old fashioned plastic plug than this "new" design.

This drain is very nice which is 5 star. The instructions left out a vital part and that is to use silicone or plumbers putty. Use plumbers putty or silicone to seal and hold the drain down and use plumbers putty for the seal that goes on from the bottom. I don't understand how this part was left out of the instructions, but it was.

Wife made me replace 3 competitor's drains with these.

easy install , lo leaks...

Very nice quality but the photo on the side of the box and your web sight shows the concave washer pointing down when it should show it up, which caused myself and many others with constant leaking from the threaded area. You need to change box and your web sight photo's or add instructions. 2 hours of my life wasted.

It is all thick metal . Easy to install . You can tell it will last a long time.

Leaking Drain, tried everything. Even installed two drains.

We had trouble getting it to seal in our Kohler sink. However, a little plumber's putty did the trick.

The pop-up drain components were more than fine - all good there. The trick is in installation. Because it is an "overflow" sink, you have to be careful and conscious of how the water is handled. In my case it was important to ensure that the vessel sink was securely sealed to the granite counter, that I apply plumbers putty to the drain seal at the sink, and sufficient putty below the counter to make sure that I sealed the bottom sealing ring (to prevent water from the overflow from simply leaking out around the connection nut). Logically that all makes sense, but in practice it seems a little arcane (it shouldn't be that hard...). But all in all, it works great, looks great, no leaks, glad that I got it.
