Leaks After 2 years
Others also notice the leakage issue. I suspect Kohler uses conventional 0-rings and other nitrile seals which tend not to hold up so well with regular use. Other types of 0-rings and seals are more durable but finding just the right sizes in something like Vitron may prove difficult. I don't understand people saying they replaced this faucet due to leaking, as why not just install new seals? Are such seal kits not available? Another faucet I have had for 30 years requires new O-rings about every 4 years but it is easy to work on. Not sure about this unit yet as I have not taken it apart yet. For something that wears out so quickly it should be easy to work on, but will see. If it is leaking O-rings these can be purchased individually at large hardware stores. Or, this unit could be designed to wear out where it can't be fixed, not sure.

Leaks
I tried two and they both leaked. The first one leaked from the top seam after one month. The replacement faucet started leaking after two years from the bottom seam. Bummer.

    Great faucet
Love the satin finish - doesn't show water marks easily. Looks great and was easy to install.

    DISAPPOINTED
Purchased this product about 4 years ago. Within the first year the water pressure in the side sprayer decreased. There was also intermittent leakage near the handle. Over time both issues worsened. I just bought the exact same faucet as a replacement because I love the appearance, and I thought Kohler fixed the problems. The plumber came out to install the faucet today and it turns out the product I just purchased is defective and will not work. Will be exchanging for a different brand.

      Great product
Purchased as a replacement for exact model that began to leak after 7 years. Arrived quickly and was easy to swap out. Worked perfectly.

      LOVE IT
I installed the faucet myself and I love it. It looks great and the handle is really nicely designed. I like the finish because you do not see all of the water spots.

Very nice clean lines not froufrou
Clean lines just what we were looking for. Not installed quite yet pending the countertops and sink; all parts are accounted for and it was packaged well.

      Mixed feelings
I remodeled my kitchen in 2007 and decided on the brushed nickel finish for all the knobs and fixtures. I purchased the Forte single control kitchen sink faucet and it started to leak a little after 1 year. I contacted Kohler and they sent out a rebuild kit at no charge but it once again started to leak after a relatively short time, 6-8 months. The leak was small so my wife wrapped a towel around the base and would replace it periodically. I finally replaced the entire unit when a second leak occurred that was internal and came out through the bottom into my cabinet. The new leak was a lot larger ~ 1/2 gallon per day. I wanted to change brands because of the issues but I did not have a great selection to choose from staying with the brushed nickel finish so I decided to replace it with the same model. The new unit is working perfectly and looks great, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it remains leak free.

So disappointed in less than 2 years!
I bought this faucet for its modern look and for the attached side spray that we needed for our sink configuration- it was easy to install when I put in a new sink and has looked beautiful. However, a few days ago, I noticed that there was air was in the water line when I turned the faucet on. I looked under the cabinet to find everything soaking in a puddle of water- the source of the drip was the faucet itself- dripping through the sink hole. I tried to loosen the bolt that holds the faucet securely to the sink- it had completely rusted tight- it broke clean off when I was trying to loosen it. The copper fittings where the factory attached supply lines connect to the faucet have a lovely verdigris from moisture and the screws that hold the underside of the faucet together are rusted tightly in place. For the price, I can't believe that the bolts and screws in this faucet wouldn't be made of stainless steel, not to mention whatever failure caused the leak in the first place. I still prefer the look of this faucet over similar models in other brands, but I won't be buying another Kohler :(

          Leaks
After about 3 years, we started getting intermittent leakage from under the handle. Since other reviewers have noted this, it appears to be a quality or design issue. Also, the water pressure in the side sprayer has declined w time.

            so far so good!
I was hesitant to get this faucet because of the reviews, but so far I am glad that I did. It looks great and works well. The side spray is metal (not plastic) which is what I wanted. It is the perfect size with a modern flair.

Good solid well thought out product.
Have purchased this product before for another home and loved it. Decided to upgrade sister's home with the same and she also thinks it was a great choice. No issues.

Nice design, has held up pretty well
We have a big family, so we use our kitchen a lot. This faucet and sprayer are easy to use, have a nice-looking design and have held up pretty well, considering how much use they get. After about a year and a half of near-constant use, we had to replace the diverter valve. It's now been two years, and the cartridge will probably need to be replaced soon. I would double or triple those numbers for most folks.

Bought this in 2008 Within a year it was leaking from the top near the handle and it dripped. Contacted Kohler and they sent new inerds. Corrected the leak temporarily, but it still dripped. Now it is leaking worse than my 1st episode. Looks good but I am moving on to a new non-Kohler faucet.

Now out another $330 for plumbing fees!!
Had this installed 11/19/10, new kitchen re-model. Loved the look and it was great. Started having leaking issues out the top, 4/19/11. Kohler sent replacement o-rings and lubricant. Plumber came out$165 to take it apart and replace. less then 2 weeks later, the whole rotating bottom wouldn't move and the faucet became loose form the granite. Plumber out $165, can't fix it, the lube is gummed up and the o-rings have snapped!! Now out $330 and have to buy new faucet and replace!!REALLY JUNK!!

                      Solid Choice
The Kohler Forte brushed nickel faucet is a solid choice. We have used it for only a few days, but, so far at least, we have no complaints. This is an attractive, robust and functional faucet with a strong flow. Everything works as it should!

                      Leaks
We bought this faucet about 4 years ago and loved the simplicity of it and the fact that it was still very modern looking. The price was resonable, but we went with this one because it is a more expensive brand and thought we'd get much more life out of it. It started leaking about a year ago. Just a dribble here and there, so it didn't bother me too much. Now the water STREAMS out of gasket everytime I turn it on. My husband has looked at it and said that the gasket is completely stripped and we'll have to buy a new one. After spending what we did and the reputation that Kohler has I was very disappointed. I called the Home Depot and there were great about giving me information on the warranty that Kohler offers, which is limited lifetime warranty on normal wear and tear. They will replace the gasket free of charge if the faucet is leaking. I have yet to speak to Kohler, but I will be happy if this fixes the problem.

                        Beautiful
This faucet is beautiful - great styling. I got it in the stainless steel finish, and it looks great with the dark granite countertops, stainless sink and appliances, and brushed nickel hardware in my kitchen. The swivel of the faucet and handle feel good - easy to move, but not too loose. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that it didn't come with an aerating screen to attach to the end of the faucet. Really - how hard would it be to include that with the faucet?

                        Faucet Review
I bought one of these faucets 5 years ago and am having to replace it because it is leaking. It actually started leaking about 1 year ago and the leak has gotten worse over the course of the year. It's nice looking, but, I would not purchase again as I expect a faucet to last longer than this.

                          Great faucet, Farrah!
Sexy, too. What a wonderful thing to buy a real faucet. After all the "lets not spend that much money" discussion, my better half once again demonstrates just how much better her part of the decision making is. This faucet is most excellent. Smooth action, no drips, solid installation, good looking, should last a LOT longer with the ceramic guts, water-spot resistance, etc. Great design. It even sticks out a little further and is higher than our old one so it'll reach out to fill our Amish-sized pots and pans. I have had to retrain myself from using my whole hand to shove the handle up to turn the water on. Now, with only a single finger push needed, and a friendly sign above the sink, written by my daugher, "One finger only, please", I no longer push with my palm to force the handle up. It GLIDES. Nice. It's like sliding into your Lexus after driving my lawnmower. You do own a Lexus, right? The handle spins to adjust hot/cold. This is how a faucet should present itself. Our old one kind of had an either/or spot where the temp would shift rapidly. Bad. Bad for kids. This Kohler-than-thou is a blend master, temperature wise. Just brilliant. We got the sprayer version, and the design is far superior to what it replaced. Our old one would get pulled out of it's hole by the handle. It would respond to this aggression by promptly disassembling itself. This fancy-schmancy new one has a rounded, recessed design that won't get caught on stuff, like your sleeve, thus spraying people around you, nor will it become a handle to pull it with. It looks like a Lexus, too, just like my lawnmower doesn't. It looks good enough to require a spotlight, shining down from the Heavens above my cabinet, illuminating it, causing the angelic choir to begin, it shall come to pass, casting knowing reflections into your eyes, like wine. Or something. Great investment in kitchen, wife-happy, plumbing-time-saving, and smile-induction. Listen to your wife! Buy this and live with a happy woman. Be happy yourself.

The spray hose compression fitting is defective. You will have to purchase a new hose that has a rubber washers at both ends for the product not lo leak profusely.

                              Easy Peazy Installation
I hated my old faucet. Besides the fact that it leaked I could never fit anything underneath it. This new faucet was a breeze to install, just like the guys at Home Depot said it would be, and I can fit a huge pot under it. It starts and stops on a dime and the force of the water is amazing. It doesn't hurt that it looks great too.

                                great shiny faucet
We previously had a different Kohler faucet where there was a base plate connecting the faucet and the sprayer. After replacing the counter top we decided to replace the sink and faucet. hubby wanted something shiny and a good quality faucet from a well-name reputable manufacturer. this Kohler faucet has worked wonderfully for us and looks great with the new undermount sink. we like the tall arch that the faucet makes; it gives it a sleek, more contemporary look... yet still maintaining the traditional style.

This is a very high quality faucet. I installed it myself in a couple of hours. The hardest part was removing the old faucet. Installing the new one was easy. I've used it now for about 1 year and am completely satisfied.

                                    Wet and Frustrated
I purchased this faucet and a Staccatto sink because of the Kohler name and the look. I read reveiws that said there is a problem with the faucet. It sprays water all around from the spout unless you turn the water on all the way. I read reveiws that stated this and then the reveiws didn't say this any more. I thought that Kohler had taken care of this problem, but they have not. I do love the look but not the function.
