Used Kilz to cover the stain taking only 3 coats to bring it back to normal. Thank you Kilz for saving my Christmas.

Works great, dries fast, and never has let me down in the last few years since I’ve discovered it. If I could give this product 6 stars instead of 5, I would!

In an effort to make the house a home for her children she asked for advice. “What would Papa Pat recommend?” It pleased me to know she respected my fathers wisdom. His advice was - Always use a good primer, KILZ is his go to on prep work that is going to make a significant difference in the final results. We are not disappointed. Looking at the whole KILZ line of product as we continue to create a dream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Grandfather passed away in March, my Grandma is in a memory care facility that does not take her insurance. We desperately need to sale her home for the highest dollar possible to allow her to stay in the care facility she’s comfortable, without the added stress of more change. Unfortunately their home was not maintained well in the past few years since both their health declined. We found water damage under almost every sink. There was an unpleasant odor. We used Kilz not only under the sinks but also as a primer on all the trim in the house before painting. The house smells like a new home. We feel confident the house will sale soon and the new owners will be buying a clean, freshly painted home.

Paint before paint Primer

I used the Kilz Restoration on the interior repaint of the my Lance RV Trailer. I prepped the walls with Ammonia wash and the stained cabinets with sanding. It was a complete disaster. The priduct states it performs like oill-based primer. IT DOES NOT. I sprayed the whole thing with two coats primer and two coats Benjamin Moore paint. The primer adhasion to the substrate is very poor. Whole sections would rip off when i removed the blue masking tape. Even after a few weeks of cure time, if you scrape againt a surface, the paint/primer will come off down to the underlying finish. I totally regret not using an oill based primer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I lost my mother 9 months ago but prior to that her house caught fire in one bedroom but the smoke caused most of the Lower level black smoke on all the walls in the home I began to repair the home I had to wash the walls down first and I brought 5 gallons KilZ for restoration the was amazing for the smell from the smoke and cover the discoloration very well I continue to use it but the all purpose one that stuff give me hope with the work the I am doing to restore the home.Thanks KILZ your the best.

I'm so glad we did!!! It's been a week since our new carpet was installed and we still can't smell the terrible smell from before. It covered great with only one coat! Thank you Kilz!!!

Did alot of research for a primer to cover heavily yellowed drywall in a garage. Was trying to avoid oil as im not experienced with it and didnt want to have any issues as this was for a customer. Went with this one as it claimed the performance of an oil or shellac. This stuff worked perfect. The yellow stain never bled through. And after a week now still nothing so im very happy with this product

I can't believe how well it did. There's no more stains and no smells at all! I've included before and after pictures.

KILZ® KILZ RESTORATION ® Interior Primer paint is no exception! It's low odor and in fact has a fresh, clean scent to it and it's not overpowering at all. We painted in the morning and slept in the room that night with no issues. It's great at covering up odors from pets, food or grease and smoke. The coverage is also spot on, it covers smoke, water stains, food, pet stains, pencil or crayon marks and so much more! If you are looking for a really good primer or any painting needs I strongly urge you to give KILZ ® a try and you to will see why this company is top notch in my book!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great base coat for my furniture that I am restoring. I have a small desk that someone had painted previously. I put a coat of this primer on and it evened and it really made the eventual final coat of paint look great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an old vanity that had a old smell to it when I got it. I painted it with this before I used my other paint and it smells nomal now. I love how easy it is to apply. The thickness is just right. It dries pretty fast too. I was able to paint another coat on this after about 3 hours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a long time fan of Kilz products but this is my first time using KILZ RESTORATION Interior Primer. I used it on a desk that was all black. It covered very well and had very little odor. It does a great job covering stains and odors and works great on so many surfaces. This is definitely one of the best primers out there.

I was glad that the KILZ RESTORATION Interior Primer had very low odor while I was brushing it on my table, and the water-based primer went on smooth with every brush stroke. I only used one coat to cover entire top of my table, because I felt that since I was going to paint the table a different color, I only need the primer to do a light cover. Si within an hour the primer was completely dry, and ready for painting. Since I had primed it the fresh new paint went on smooth, and even, and my table turned out so beautiful. I do recommend the KILZ RESTORATION Interior Primer because it is a great and good quality product by KILZ.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Kilz Restoration Primer for an end table I was refinishing. It goes on like silk and dried to the touch fairly quick. You do need to work fast so it doesn’t dry down. Small sections worked best. I didn’t care for the smell. Just used good ventilation. I highly recommend this product

I recently redid an old dresser and used the KILZ RESTORATION primer after sanding some imperfections from kids applying stickers and nicks and scratches. I did apply 2 coats (sanding very lightly between coats) and it came out nicely. Very easy to apply and with water cleanup is what I needed.

While this was thinner than other primers I've used it worked incredibly well. because it was thinner it was easier to apply. This stuff works like a charm. Their belief in your products was right. The results were great
