not good for using an impact gun,
i bought it for my automotive needs at home its not strong enough to use an impact, but will work an air ratchet..compressor is loud and comes on quickly with air tools..but for the price...no complaints...read the reviews about the shipping care..and it came with the plastic cracked and a wheel broken, same as most people had stated on theirs as well..

No function issues. Fast shipping. Good price.
The cover up paint for the used/scratched cylinder rubbed right off on my clothes. Also the system hadn't been purged maybe ever. The drainage was quite a dirty dark brown the first time around. But no performance issues at all. Great price. Quick shipping. Drains clean now. Good buy.

Wheels damaged/warped in shipment. Air outlet leaked.
Husky 20 gl. compressor arrived with both wheels loosely thrown into the box and they were crushed/warped during shipment. The air outlet leaked. No thread sealant tape was installed on the outlet tube. Incomplete initial set-up instructions. The paint was scuffed by movement inside the shipping carton. I didn't waste my time rejecting the item so I solved these issues to make the compressor work.

DOA!
Yes...DOA. Dead On Arrival. And not "just dead", try not even assembled & I'm not talking about the wheels. Hard line on the compressor motor under the cover was missing. Air blowing straight out the side not into the tank. So obviously it not not even build 1lb of air pressure the very first time it was fired up. So much for buying a known brand name, huh? Husky junk, I guess! Apparently Reconditioned just meant they fixed the problem it had, yet never tested it to see if they fixed the problem & "broke" (missing required part) something else in the process.

It Leaks Bad!
Received the unit in 3 days, in good shape except the Shipping Carton was partially open but no damage to the unit. I followed the assembly and beginning operations exactly. When I ran it the first time it was a bit slow filling and stopped at 140 PSI. Tried it with a brad nailer and it worked great but had a noticeable air leak under the shroud. The next morning, all the air had leaked out but I thought I could run it for an hour or so with a brad nailer and it might 'break in'. The leak got worse to the degree it would run after 5 brads and it's leak. I was very disapointed as it was exactly what I wanted with a great price. I know it had been run before I got it because there was water in the tank. I would think the units would be tested before they are sold.

went bad after the 3rd use
had one of these for less than a month. used it 3 times for about 15 mins each to fix some cracks in the basement. the compressor was broke in properly and in a different room do to the dust from the cracks. after usage it was drained for storage in my basement. pulled it out today because the compressor and coils on my fridge needed some cleaning. plugged it in and turned it on and nothing happened. took it back and got another one. we will see how long this one last....all in all good price and will power everything i need it to do....just hope it last longer than the first one.

Great item super price
I bought this compressor with some doubt. After a few days after trying a T.S.I 2 gallon compressor that blew my fuses I decided to buy the 20 gallon Husky recon. It was a quick free delivery 3 days. I found it to be well worth the mone arriving in nice condition and all parts perfect. It runs supper and I would do it again

decals peeling off plastic cover & air leaking form tank pressure gauge - Still a great product considering price.
Decal explaining gauge functions peeling off plastic cover and slow air leak coming from tank pressure gauge fitting - Minor, fixable faults only 2 complaints so far. Considering price and reliability, had no problem bragging to neighbor about the great deal....GB

    Another positive review.
Every other review says the wheels were broken or the plastic case was broken, mine had neither. The wheels now are shipped disassembled so that cant happen anymore, the plastic is pretty stiff too. It is not a beast of a machine, but then again its not expensive either. It does its job great, just do not expect miracles. Excellent value home depot! The only bad thing is when I went in store a few days later I saw a returned one for less then what I payed.... bummer.

    Avoid this one
As everyone else is saying, mine came in dented with paint damage and leaked badly. It didn't hold the advertised PSI. Mine didn't feel reconditioned at all....it simply felt defected. Not worth the headache.

Basic Air Compressor does the job!!
Returned the compressor a few times because it leaks and only reaches under 140psi. The last compressor was able to build up the psi to ~155 as specified, but still leaks. Decided to keep around to do basic job round the house and car repair.

      Hatethisproduct
Hated this compressor from almost the first day. It leaks. You can't remove the plastic housing easily to fix the leak. (I did by using a sawsall). The value control has now broken. It's a complete pain in the neck. I'd never buy another.

      So Far, So Good
I was able to find the compressor online much cheaper than in the store and I'm impressed with the value so far. Haven't had a chance to really put the compressor through it's paces but everything I've used it for so far it seems to be working fine. I'm not 100% sold on the oil free motor but it hasn't worked to excess so far.

      Packing and unpacking
It was packed great. Have to really get all of the fluid out before use, place a dirty towel on the floor. As you release the air from the bottom hold the towel in place with your foot. and tilt it back and forth, several times to make sure all of the fluid is out. Do this everytime after use, to keep the rust down from inside. What a great price.

was a decent buy at first...
It was probably a good deal ,but the on off switch was broke When I received it ,and it did not allow me to turn it off . In addition it didn't pump up to 155 psi like it stated. It was a re-manufactured air compressor so I suppose the people that worked on it are to blame for the issues I had with the air compressor. Also it was pretty loud for our needs. I returned it to the closest HD.. I purchased a different brand elsewhere.

Good compressor for around the house.
seems to have adequate cfm to push a impact and various other air tools. Paint was a little rough on the handle but other than that it was in fine condition.

Good compressor if you are handy
The compressor arrived and the wheels etc... were in good shape. After breaking in the compressor, I let the thing fill up with air (155psi). I noticed though that the compressor had a leak. Within two hours the pressure was down to 120psi and the next afternoon it was down to 60psi. I checked for leaks using a water with soap in a spray bottle method and found that the main connection from the pump into the tank had a huge leak. I decided to disassemble the entire compressor. I discovered that the connection was not sealed with teflon tape. I carefully taped up that connection and put the compressor back together. Now I have a compressor that doesn't leak and is powerful enough to run my impact and just about everything else. I would only recommend this to someone who is confident enough to pull the entire thing apart and fix any minor problems. The "refurbish" on these units is poorly done but it's also what I expected for the price I paid. Overall I'm happy with it now, and relieved that I fixed it.

        Christmas gift gone wrong
The product was supposed to be refurbished (repaired or restored to new or orignial condition). The unit was sent to me and right out of the box it charged up, then the air leaked right back out, till the compressor started back up. As instructed by customer sevice, I returned the unit back to the store and was told by a manager and the sevice tech for the rental department that this was a known issue from the factory. Big fail on their version of refurbished.

You get what you pay for...
I purchased this as a replacment for a Campbell Hausfield that was about 7 years old and served me well as a general purpose compressor. I saw the Husky refurb at $20 less than a new one - figured I could save a few dollars for the same product. Overall so far it has performed as expected - it is quieter than the CH. But when received the plastic cover was broken in multiple places. It's not worth taking back to the store @ 80lbs. And for the most part the compressor is out of site in my garage. Its just disappointing more than anything than I tried to save a little money and got exactly what I paid for a product that had $20 worth of broken parts on it. I just hope the mechanical quality lasts at least as long as the CH.

        Good product, bad delivery
it pressurized up to 150psi, and seems to hold pressure well for a week or more. It keeps up with my use, so cfm is up to claims. Very loud, so don't plan on using this in an enclosed space like a workshop without building a sound baffle or locating somewhere else. The handle that is welded to the tank does not extend above the compressor housing, and only has about an inch of clearance to get your fingers around it. The handle is barely better than not having one. I will be adding a handle from a defunct fertilizer spreader onto the existing handle in order to make it usable. Like others have commented, shipping is horrible. It arrived with both wheels broken and unusable. I replaced them with pneumatic wheels I had, and they work much better than the solid plastic wheels would have. The plastic housing around the compressor assembly was also cracked with a chunk broken off. It still works fine, but keep in mind that you may have to deal with replacement parts or returning this given the poor quality of packing and shipping. All in all a good product that works well and is a good value. Requires some help to bring it up to par, and potentially some initial frustration, but I am happy with it's performance.
