        Answer This Question

A:  There was not an explaination of what was repaired with the unit I bought. But so far, so good (6 months)

        by|May 2, 2023

A:  A key component in the compressor, most likely, caused these units to be replaced under warranty. A minor part replacement and they really are good as new, just a little shopworn.

A:  Not the refurbished ones. I can tell you the one I received looked like new and works great.

              by|May 2, 2023

A:  Could be, the unit is refurbished by the factory. So if the tank was defective the tank was replaced. But, my tank wasn't replaced. In fact, I couldn't determine which part was replaced.

              by|May 2, 2023

A:  To the best of my knowledge the entire unit is refurbished, not new. When I got mine there was some rusty water that came out of the tank the first time I purged it. Does not appear to effect the operation.

              by|May 2, 2023

A:  The tank looks new but no way to tell for sure.

                A:  reconditioned

Q:how much time is necessary for unit to refresh when using cutting cutting tools/ how big a unit is necessary for continues use

A:  Almost all air tools have a cfm rating on them, since compressor is rated for 4.3 cfm at 90 psi an air tool that requires 9 cfm at 90 to run is only going to run 4 or 5 minutes before the compressor falls behind. You are looking at a much larger compressor to run a cutting tool continuously. The lower psi rating on compressors is really only relavant to paint guns and such that run at only 40 psi.

A:  The product usage guidelines are outlined in the "Use & Care Manual," located under the "More Info" tab under the product.

                    by|May 2, 2023

A:  Takes about 3-4 minutes to refill. Cutting tools will take a bigger tank for continuous use. Something like a 60 gallon tank would go well for continuous.

A:  If you're looking for one to do cutting tools with then this is not the one for you, they require much more steady air flow and I would recoomend a bigger sized compressor. This is great for every day general use and construction products but for mechanics tools and cutting tools such as a die grinder for metal this unit isn't able to keep up with the demand. I would try a dual piston type compressor for your needs.

A:  The unit refreshes fairly quickly. I use it mostly for clean-up jobs and tire maintenance. I do have air tools but haven't used any yet.
