Starts on first pull. Cuts well, but must go slow over moderately thick grass to achieve satisfactory cut. Appreciate it's simplicity; anticipate fewer problems over time. As reported by numerous reviewers, handle arrived slightly bent so that could not be screwed down on to mower without slight wobble.

Unbox, extend handle, pour in oil and gas and you are mowing. Easy to start.

I have never owned a Honda Mower. It runs so smooth and cuts so well that is awesome. It is worth every penny and more.

honda motor is good,starts up first pull, the deck is poor design,underneath has area's where grass catches then buils up untill it won't come out,so i flip it over and with a plastic puttyknife scrape the grass out,my grass isn't wet but its green, I'm returning it

Good unit except that the air cleaner cover keeps popping off. It clips on rather than screws on. Wake up Honda, I paid extra for superior engineering, not cut rate, cost saving nonsense.

It's exactly what I wanted and it fits in my garage perfectly since it's a little smaller than my last mower.

Overall excellent quality --- we wanted a mower with a Honda engine rather than a cheaper competitor's. The mower was shipped on time from Home Depot.

All the power on this machine goes right to the mulching of the grass on my lawn and it does a fantastic job and gives me exercise at the same time. Home Depot shipped it right to my home and that was a big reason I bought this online from Home Depot. I think it was less than a week from when I placed the order from when it was delivered in a nice sturdy box.

Overall the Honda HRS216PDA is a very good mower. Build quality is noticeably higher than other mowers and it starts first pull every time. But there is a bit of room for improvement: 1: the motor engage bar does not seat flush w/ handle,, just lays there on the outside and is a tad uncomfortable 2: there is no cross bar within the upper handle,, I need that for some tight spots 3: the throttle is a bit cheap feeling 4: one of the biggest problems is inherent to 4-stroke mowers; the blade simply does not rotate nearly as fast as 2-storke mowers The result of the slower blade is some uneven cutting, even with a well profiled/sharpened blade. (seems to 'push' the grass sometimes) 5: wheelbase could be slightly shorter to make it more maneuverable Also:: add the oil a bit at a time as to not overfill, checking by placing the dipstick in the hole & not screwing dipstick in {important} Still highly Recommend!

I love this mower. It easy to push, and runs great. The Honda engine is relatively quite and runs very smoothly. This mower was easy to setup and start mowing.

I found this honda very easy to push. That is what I wanted in a push mower. With its 8" ball bearing wheels and smooth running honda motor, I am hoping this machine gives my years of reliable service. Seem to use little gas also.

Overall it is a great product. Only concern is that it is harder to push than our other trim mower.

Have only used the mower a half dozen times, but I am really impressed so far. Started first pull every time, and mower doesn't seem to weigh any more than comparable mowers so easy to push.

My old mower fell apart, after a single season. I've used the Honda about 5 times now and love it. It's relatively quiet, starts easy and mows my front and back yard on a tank of gas. My previous mower required two. I was going to buy the optional mulch blades, as I don't bag but really haven't felt the need yet. Shipped to me in 4 business days.

Works well. Features are basic, but very well made

this mower starts the first pull every time I use it and runs great . a little pricey but worth it . Just hope it last a looooong time. (years)

This Honda is about double the price of my last mower purchase YardMachine but it is worth the extra money. The quality and design is much better. I had an issue with the YardMachine discharge chute design which was always getting clogged.

Like the product so far. Especially the adjustable throttle and no primer bulb!!!

I am under 5 ft tall, and have never been able to really start or push mowers. This was amazingly easy to start and required no effort at all to push.

I had been concerned that I had let my grass grow too high before mowing so that I had would have to clear up the clippings. Honda mower performed flawlessly on mulching and the clippings weren't visible, even though it only has a single blade. Also started at first pull, which impressed me.

Overall, this mower has been a solid performer in my first month. I'd recommend buying it again. In heavy and thick tall grass, it slows down a bit, but that's the only negative.

This mower is all that was advertised. It mows great....leaves a nice even, well manicured lawn behind you as you pass over the grass....long, or short. Pushes easy...well, my 15 year old son isn't complaining at any rate! Starts like a charm every time....I would recommend this mower to my friends.

Not built as well as i had hoped. Very tinny construction

I have owned a Honda car, 2 motorcycles, a tiller, a generator, and a mower. Sorry to say I have had problems with every one of their products. I have given all of them excellent care using synthetic oil on schedule. I'll never buy another Honda product again.....ever.....period!

If you are looking for a high-quality, simple, dependable lawnmower, this Honda mower is ideal.. I didn't want a rear bagger or self-propelled mower. I also didn't want to have to pay for a rear bagger that I would not use and that causes clogging when the bag is not used. I also did not need or want a self-propelled mower. I wanted a dependable mower that would last a lot of years. The mower started on the very first pull. I have mowed my yard 4 times with no stalls or clogs. The option to easily have side-discharge is another great feature.

I was looking more at the less expensive mowers but after reading the reviews on the poor quality, I decided to go with the Honda since it's metal construction and solid design was more like the 15 year old mower that I was replacing. It arrived at my house within a week. I took it out of the box, unfolded the handle, filled it with the oil and gas and started it up. Super easy start which I was looking for and ease of changing heights. Even worked well on heavily weeded yard. Very happy with this purchase! Worth the extra money!

I have only used this mower 5 or 6 times, however, I have a double lot and it seems like it should be a strong durable mower. Hoping it lasts 7-10 years rather than the usual 2-3 I get with the cheep mowers. My only complaint is that it is heavier than the mowers I usually buy, but if that helps its longevity, I will not complain.

Bought this Honda mower to replace a 13 yr old yard machine push mower that was on its last leg. I have mowed with the Honda 3 times now. It mows the grass well and leaves the yard looking awesome. My only complain so far is that the mower is heavier than I thought it was going to be. Seems to be a little heavier than my old one. Also, my old mower had the larger back wheels and this new Honda has 4 wheels that are the same size and I think that makes it harder to maneuver as well. Overall, very pleased with the purchase. Will update later in the spring/summer.

The Honda lasted four years and then up and died during the first mowing of the season. Yes it was stored properly along with prescribed maintenance per the manual. The Toro lasted five, almost six years before the maintenance and repair costs got out of hand. That's why I bought the Honda, the expectation that it would last longer. When oil started coming out of the exhaust manifold I knew the honeymoon was over. Repair cost now equals a new lawnmower. I don't see paying premium for a Honda again.
