It depends on how you decide to mount the shade. For inside mount you have to measure the top, middle, and bottom and order according to the narrowest width to ensure proper fit. For outside mount you have to measure the window frame and order a 0.5 size larger. There is a measuring help guide in the production description section to the right if you need help. Thank you for your feedback. For additional privacy we suggest you attach a fabric privacy liner to the back of natural shades. Another option for additional privacy is to outside mount natural shades, then inside mount an inexpensive white black out roller blind.
