Goes on easy with an acid brush with long pole....
Goes on easy with an acid brush with long pole. Cleanup is easy on skin with a degreaser, clothing is another story.

Yes it is a little bit messy, just as painting anything would be. You are right though, it "goes on easy" and is a great way to dampproof above and below exterior grade concrete, masonry walls and foundations. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Without a comment we cannot determine the nature of the low rating for Henry 101 Non-Fibered Foundation coating. Henry 101 is a cold applied liquid asphalt in a solvent system. Henry 101 is ideal for dampproofing above and below exterior concrete and masonry walls and foundations that are thoroughly dry. Henry 101 should not be applied if there is a threat of rain within 24 hours. Odeng670, Henry 101 is a great product to use on your foundation. It's liquid asphalt in a solvent system. Since it is solvent based it can be used in cooler temperatures than water based foundation coatings. Thank you for putting your trust in the Home Depot and the Henry Co.

It looks good on applying to the concrete wall. The durability and strength would be known only after few years. One thing they say use only spray gun or tri brush but a thick 3 inch dia roller works better and faster.

Alrasbank, thanks for the strong endorsement for Henry 101 Foundation coating. Henry 101 is a non-fibered liquid asphalt that dries to a shiny smooth surface. We always recommend using heavy duty spray equipment or a roofing brush for application. The application method is so that the product will be forced into the pinholes and small cracks on the cement surface. Sometimes a roller will only apply the product to the surface of the wall. Hey Henry, feel free to fill the pails once in a while. Good product just not enough of it!
Shocked at how little they put in the pail. Product is real good but just not enough of it in the pail and very inconsistent in how much in each pail. If they filled the pails properly I would purchase it on a regular basis instead of just when in a pinch.

Joe D, Henry 101 Non-fibered foundation coating is available in 5 gallon buckets. They are not filled to the top because the product is fairly hot when it goes into the bucket. The bucket will hold 5 gallons but it is filled to at least 4.75 gallons of product. If you do find a bucket that looks like it has less than 4.75 gallons please contact us directly at jszymanski@henry.com or call our Product Support number at 800-523-0268 so that we can investigate the issue. This product takes easy 5 days to dry properly. The drying process is so long keeping dirt/ leaves / dust from sticking is uncontrollable. If your looking for a quick bond and dry this is not the product for you .

Drkestlight, Henry 101 is a non-fibered liquid asphalt in a solvent system. All solvent based asphalt products need time to adequately "gas off" the petroleum distillates. Drying time usually takes at least 8 hours set to touch depending on the temperature and humidity. Henry 101 is an excellent damp-proofer for clean and dry foundation.

I use to get it in a five gallon pail...
I use to get it in a five gallon pail and now it it only 4.75 pail and with a 1/4 of ghost material missing. Sad, that the manufacture can get away with that... The product is still good.

Roald, Henry 101 has been sold in 5 gallon buckets and filled at a stated 4.75 gallons for many years. Even though we state 4.75 gallons, there may be more than that in the can. We always err or the side of caution so as to not overstate the amount of product in the bucket. The second reason is that the buckets are filled when the product is still hot and shrinks slightly as it cools.
