This fan was easy to install and really updates the room.

The fan itself works very well. The light kit however was DOA. I have installed dozens of ceiling fans and this is the first that the light kit was inoperable, which is a shame because it is the main source of light for the room I put it in.

Worth the money we spent

My wife found this ceiling fan and it worked perfectly. Had three professionally installed, two used the down rod and on was flush mounted. They really move air, are silent and look great!

I brought the fan about 2 or 3 years ago and I fell in love with it for the fact that I have not experienced the modern fans till I brought this one and its amazing how much airflow it has. Sadly one of the blades came off and didnt stay on anymore, not sure what happened but I can tell you that customer service reached out to me the next day and immediately they got out of their way to make sure I get excellent customer service. I spoke with Monique the manager and she is wonderful, her care for customers and even the gentleman that came and installed it was super great and kind. I have not experienced a team with such great service to customers and has appreciation I am leaving this review for others to see.

easy install, easy mount

- the motor housing is quite large - I may look to replace the provided fan blades with 52 inch ones - enclosed fan instructions was helpful - more helpful was the instructional video on HD site - thank you! - ensure blades totally snap in the motor housing provided slots - thought I inserted blades securely until fan was running on high and 4 blades went flying off - really PUSH HARD when inserting the blades - problem removing the glass cover - it is completely stuck so I am unable to change the light bulbs to brighter ones -

It's easy to install and beautiful to look at, it put out a perfect airflow for us and the light is good. It's quiet for the most part, occasionally it does a whine, the style is wonderful for our retro 50s bedroom.

The fan was installed in a bedroom by a professional electrician. It makes a nice breeze, and is 'ok' looking (definitely not high-end by any means, but matches the low price). It makes a faint helicopter sound periodically, but since I use a sound machine at night, I don't hear any noise. The problem with the fan is that the included light bulbs are awful. They emit a creepy yellow light which reminds me of a bare yellow bulb outside a cabin at a summer camp in a horror movie. I thought it would be a simple fix to replace them with daylight or cool white bulbs, but this is not the case. The glass dome will not budge to allow access to the bulbs. I have tried every single "suggestion" offered by Home Decorators, to no avail. I have similar glass domes on 3 ceiling fixtures, so I know how they are supposed to be removed. It is obvious from the reviews and the Q&A for this product, that Home Decorators is well aware of this flaw, yet they continue to sell it. Because the bleeping glass dome is stuck, I either have to live with the awful light, or spend money on a new fan (and pay another electrician bill). Between the cost of the fan and the installation, over $250 went out the window.
