Hi, Rosemont - Sorry you had difficulties with our product; however, there are some inaccuracies in your statement. Home Flex is not thinner than Ward Flex and both are 304 grade stainless steel. Their black jacketed product is thicker and is not the same as our yellow jacketed product. Their yellow jacketed product and ours are the same. Both are built and certified to very specific LC1 standards. As for a clean cut, it's important to use a sharp rotational cutter. Using tin snips or a dull cutter is likely to leave a shard and is not unique to any manufacturer's CSST tubing. As for the fittings being pulled off, the only way this could happen is that it wasn't tightened enough. Some first time users stop when they think it is tight for fear of stripping the fitting. Full details are included in our Home-Flex CSST Design & Installation Manual available at homeflex.com or on HD's website with our product listing. As for "washers not reusable, not replaceable" that's simply incorrect. The hard fiber gasket is most certainly replaceable and there's even a replacement pack at most Home Depot stores (part number 11-057C.) Obviously one doesn't need to purchase an entirely new fitting. CSST users should review the manual AND register with Home-Flex (via homeflex.com/get certified). If you'd like to call me (or my colleague Jon (x1010) at (661) 257-3923 x 1026 (Dave) we'd be happy to walk you through the installation process. Thanks.
