Used this to paint our steel building and it exceeded my expectations.

I have the TrueCoat 360 and that works great for small projects but when I bought Magnum X5 it made my big job seem like a small project. It was quick and easy. The cleaning of the Magnum X5 could be made easier but I still recommend it to anyone that needs to paint their house or room. I'm not a professional painter and it's not my trade. I don't do any painting because I hire people that know what they are doing because it's how they make thier living. I'm a maintenance supervisor and I work on industrial machinery, I get stuck once in a while to paint small crates to ship parts over seas so when I was told that I had to paint 32 sectional flooring for a cleanroom with 3 coats on each side with fire retardant paint that were going to be assembled over seas I told the boss that my TrueCoat 360 wouldn't cut it for 32 pieces of flooring and that I was going to look for a bigger paint sprayer. He had his doubts but after showing him the video of me completing the job in no time he said I made the perfect choice in purchasing the Magnum X5Airless Paint Sprayer. I bought this the last week of July 2018 because the tips are available at the store without having to go online and ordering them. I don't have to wait for spray tips to come and hold me up on a job.

First and only use so far was updating kitchen cabinets cuts rolling and brushing times down tremendously, read the operators manual keep it with you the first couple times and machine will work as advertised

I'm a general contractor with some experience of using sprayers in the past I purchase this to paint shiplap in my bathroom and was truly impressed by the quality of finish it provided

Painted a whole house with no problems

This was our first time ever using one. I couldn't be more happier with the performance and ease-of-use highly recommended. Worth every bit of the money. I'm also scared of heights and had no problem bridging all the areas with the extensions that are available

Bought system to paint my house and it worked very well for the application. Laminated instruction set was a great idea. I got out an old childs wagon to make it easier to maneuver the system and paint to the different areas of the house, that worked very well. Graco should develop something of the same as a addition, I'm sure it would be well received. Overall I would give the system a high rating and instructions are developed to make it easy to use and take care of. Adding picture of the painted house, painted the brick.. With sprayer system painting took three days, IF I had rolled it would have taken me three weeks. I'm 65 years old.

First time user. Super simple and actually fun to use. Highly recommend for larger home projects. Cut our 1500 sq ft deck staining time in half!

I had never used a paint sprayer before. I built a deck and instead of putting vinyl underneath I decided to paint it. Just took about a hour to paint. The roof over the porch which is 53feet x16feet. It would have took all day to roll and brush it. Think the money I spent on this was wonderful. I do know it is a life saver from having to roll the roof. Great product and I am looking forward to my next project so I can get it out and see how much time it will save me.

I got tired of rolling my walls even though I'm pretty good at it. Been painting for decades. I have several large projects looming in addition to renovating my own house, so I did some research and settled on the Magnum X5. I don't need a pro machine but I need bigger than a cup sprayer. I have friends that returned these types of units due to spitting and clogging so I read up on it. Crucial tip: Read all the documentation and watch all the YouTube videos on these sprayers. You MUST become familiar with the prep, usage, and cleaning steps before even thinking of actually using it. If not, you'll be returning a perfectly fine and useful tool when all along it was user error. Prep time prior to painting is needed as overspray is prevalent. When you actually get to the spraying part pay close attention to how the instructions and video advises on how to spray. I watched a video of a guy using it for the first time and he was spraying it around like it was a pressure washer. Total mess. I painted my entire living room (vaulted) ceiling with 2 coats in less than 10 minutes. Absolutely amazing. Pay careful attention to the instructions when it comes to cleaning the unit. After watching some videos and reading some online blogs about this, that sounds a lot worse than it is. Take your time and clean each part thoroughly, and don't forget to remove the handle filter and clean that as well. Even though I screened some high quality paint, there was still a lot of debris in the handle filter. I would imagine if anyone failed to clean that and allow it to accumulate it would be the main cause for spitting and blockage.

Love it, it’s my first sprayer and it worked great and very easy to use.

I am a new user of a paint sprayer. The GRACO Magnum X5 is definitely a professional and high quality product. The instructions for operations are thorough and clear. The quick start info in a laminated sheet was a life saver and was easy to clean of paint smears. I took very seriously respiratory and eye safety and used a full body paint suit. I wished I was thinking to keep myself protected during clean up. I wished the instruction book spent more time on proper prep time. Even with a day's worth of masking, drop cloth placement and practice spraying techniques, I did have overspray. I learned a lot from my first use of the sprayer and will feel much more confident on future projects. The actual time it took to paint was a significant reduction and the ease of painting laborious detail made me smile!

Overall good product. Need to understand the instructions on how to use and maintain it.

Second machine I have. Excellent! First one went up to 200 gallons although stated to be made for 125. Can't ask for better return on investment.

Bought this sprayer after the harbor freight sprayer died on me after only 10 hours of operation. My wife and I needed to paint the exterior of our new house because the old paint was shipping and flaking so badly. We sprayed a coat of primer and then paint. This unit held up to the challenge no problem. I bought the swivel adapter for the hose to the gun which is a recommended accessory to everyone using a sprayer. Used the sprayer on some of the interior rooms too.

Like this sprayer, it is my 2nd one. I own my own paint business in Florida

I purchased this for my work. Originally I got it with the intention of painting several gates. However, my first project was a 10 X 8 ft cargo trailer. I used rustolium black and it really took me longer to mask the trailer than to paint it!! This gun is a pleasure to use! It worked flawlessly with no problems at all. I recommend this machine highly! My nexthe Graco purchase will be the big job 360 airless sprayer for the smaller jobs!

I bought this for a job that would be difficult to brush or roll. I used the sprayer only one day and I loved it. But unfortunately I lost the sprayer in an accident that I was involved in. I lost my truck, cargo trailer and other tools. Hopefully when I get back on my feet I will by another sprayer.

on water based paint cleanup was a breeze, for oil base it was messy. A lot of overspray which was fine since we were using it outside with plenty of prep. Inside with the roller attachment it was great.

Excellent! Made fast work of about 100 feet of shadowbox fence, cleaned, changed colors and then painted 50 feet of concrete wall - done and cleaned up in less than 5 hours.

Finished house in 2 days. Looks great. Wipe paint from tip of sprayer. Fast even spray

Bought to paint new 1000 ft of fence, used stain with color worked like a charm. Clean up does take time if you do it correctly but that's what keeps it working like new. I plan on painting the house next !!!

I used to have a larger, wheel mounted graco sprayer that I used for many years without any problems. I purchased this for my own home fencing project, about 350 linear feet of 6' fencing. About half way done and about 25 gallons of Behr stain sprayed on all faces, edges and ends an still working great. Was well worth the money spent. Very easy set up and clean up. I would recommend a longer hose, universal connectors as well as a more flexible "whip" section of hose.

I purchased this sprayer to paint a new shiplap wood ceiling and beams and boy did it save me a bunch of time and back ache! I sprayed the entire ceiling (20' x 22') in less than 15 minutes per coat. Coverage was excellent and had no runs or drips! It only took a few minutes to get the pressure adjusted properly to get a good spray pattern and then it was as easy as 1-2-3!

I purchased this sprayer to paint a new 16' X 12' shed I had erected by Tuffshed. I purchased an extra 50ft of hose and the tip extension. Both add-on's were worth their weight in gold. Since I was going to tool-up to paint, I decided to paint my 34' X 12' horse shed/tack room as well. Towards this end, I bought 5 gallons of premium paint. In order to facilitate painting two buildings, I put the sprayer, an 1800 continuous duty generator, and the 5 gallon paint bucket in a garden tractor trailer. I hooked the trailer up to the garden tractor and toted everything around with no effort. It made the transition from one building to the other a snap. I was concerned that 75' of hose would over-extend this sprayer; It did not. All in All, it took just short of four hours to setup, paint, and take down. The only problem I ran into was, on start-up/prime the included screen on the pickup hose prevented the paint from being sucked into the machine. Once I decided the problem must be in the intake, I pulled the intake hose out of the paint bucket, unscrewed the screen, placed the intake hose back into the bucket, and bingo-bango, I was in business. The X5 performed beyond my expectation.

I bought this sprayer 1 week ago. I Watched the video and then used the quick start instructions as I began the project. I painted a new 93 linear foott, 4 foot high picket fence in about an hour with water based solid color paint. Only one coat was necessary. Because the pickets were spread 1.5 inches apart, I had significant overspray into the grass, but I would still choose spraying over brushing or rolling any day! I'm sure a solid privacy fence of the same linear feet would be quicker with very little overspray. Cleanup is easy, but it takes some time. Maybe it's because I'm a meticulous engineer with a passion for having clean tools. I wiped the sprayer motor off with a little soapy water on a rag and it sparkles like new. The plastic enclosure seems to release the paint fairly easily. I'm ready to start painting my deck!

Easy to use, had to watch the product video a few times for the setup and breakdown, but for a first time sprayer user, pretty easy. Next job should flow faster.

I recently was given one of the Graco sprayers as a gift. I used it to spray approximately 650 linear feet of cedar fencing that was six feet tall which I recently power washed. I applied a Behr weatherproofing cedar stain. I was initially dreading the work, but with this unit it was a whole lot easier than I expected. I did purchase a slightly small tip (413 instead of the supplied 515). For my job, I sprayed 20 gallons of the Behr product over a two day period. Using the supplied instructions, the application and daily cleanup was not a problem.
