This piece of equipment is wonderful. I sprayed a huge deck over the course of a couple of days, spraying for a couple hours each day, and despite my inexperience and a few errors, the deck looks much better than what I ever achieved with rollers and brushes in a fraction of the time. I can't believe what a smooth and gorgeous finish this thing puts out. I am also really impressed at how fast spraying is, and how fun compared to endless brush work. The sprayer is obviously sturdy and well-made. With proper care it should last for years to come. Drawbacks - setup and especially cleanup involve a lot of steps and take as long as I actually spent spraying, although these processes went much faster once I got accustomed to them. Moving the sprayer plus a partially filled 5 gallon bucket of paint is pretty awkward unless you are willing to make a mess. This whole painting event is very messy in any case. You will need accessories which are an added cost. To me, the drawbacks do not even compare to the convenience of spraying and the finish you can achieve. I only finished the deck and porch yesterday and have already had four neighbors stop by to pay compliments! Highly recommend this product.

I bought this to tackle a kitchen cabinet refacing and painting. Once everything was prepped (which takes up 80% of the project’s time!) primed and painted everything fast and easy. Once you get the hang of timing with the paint gun and setting for paint spraying, it was all fast and easy.

I bought this a week ago to stain my entire cedar fence. I pressure washed my fence the week prior and I was able to stain 1170 square feet in around 2 hours. The X5 worked flawlessly. Not clogs, no slow downs. I highly recommend this sprayer and am looking forward to using it again.

After buying this I finally opened it up after 6 weeks. Weather was get better and I had pressure washed our deck and decided it needed stain. I was going to use a roller and brush but had this new sprayer sitting here that my original intention of buying was for some barn buildings that I need to paint. Thought I might as well practice on the deck before using on some buildings. Went to the home store and purchased 5 gallons of solid stain a Graco paint sprayer extension and a 36 inch metal paint shield. I had watched some videos using the sprayer and with the waterproof quick guide that came with it, I was ready. Put paint and sprayer on the deck and started spraying..... wow in about 8 minutes I realized I needed to move the sprayer and paint off the deck because this was going much quicker than I thought. Yes you will go that quickly..... Finished in about 25 minutes and was totally shocked I was done and how perfect this Magnum X5 paints. It takes longer to properly clean the sprayer than it does to paint. Graco Thank You for making a excellent affordable sprayer. PS Now you explain to my wife why I don't have to paint all the ceilings in the house!

This machine works like a dream. Alot of reviews on youtube will help walk you through set up and clean up on this unit. The biggest part of this machine working to your desired expectations is how well you prep what ever you intend on painting. If you are painting big walls ceilings and exterior the tip and guard they provide is spot on. How ever if you are shooting for that “glass like automobile finish” tou will need to buy a rac x (blue guard) and use either a 310 tip or 410. Also using a 6-10” extension helps significantly. Good luck and remember practice makes perfect.

It is a werry good sprayer. I sprayed a lot of doors and kitchen cabinet as well.

Used this product to paint the exterior stucco and wood trim of my house. This took me about 3 weekends (~5h a day) Pros: - lightweight, you can easily carry it around and take it up on the roof if needed - easy instructions, I recommend watching some tutorial videos just to know what to expect - nice even finish - easy to clean and store Cons: - Uses more paint than with a brush/roller - can be a bit messy in setup (make sure to have a clean bucket and some drop cloths ready) - depending on the with and amount of detail on your target surface you'll need to change the spray tip Overall a great experience using this to paint the exterior stucco and wood trim. It took about 30mins to get ready to paint (mixing paint, priming paint sprayer, dialing in spray speed) but then you can quickly cover large areas to paint. It produces very small droplets for a nice finish without too much overspray. I'd still recommend excessive masking of windows and other surfaces to avoid any overspray (especially with contrasting colors). Cleaning the graco takes about 15mins and is easily done by flushing it with water. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to paint larger surfaces like walls or exteriors. Not sure if the time needed to setup and clean justify using the Graco X5 for painting one or two doors.

The set up is fairly complex and time consuming- it took me 45 minutes to set up the machine. Also, be aware you need to filter your paint before using. I ran it through bug screen. Expect 45 minutes clean up. It puts out a lot of paint fast. I was not having much fun with this unit. Too complex for me. Also expect paint spray everywhere- cover your hair, eyes, face, ears and wear a good particulate mask. The one thing that really impressed me was Customer service is excellent. The manual is good too. I

I have not used it as of yet but will in the spring. I sent it in as to get my free pump armor as stated for registering.

I bought this sprayer I don’t even know how many years ago, first 10 minutes were a disaster (operator error haha), in the time I’ve owned it, I’ve painted the entire interior of 5 homes to the tune of over 13,000 square feet.. stained many a fence, doors, you name it. It’s worked absolutely flawless every time, even after being stored for a year at times, and as I get this house ready to spray, I’m excited to use it again. Just the best machine for the money.

I bought this and imported it into the uk . Superb machine good value easy to use and super fast . Very little overspray and I used thick masonry paint . I had to use a 110 volt transformer because we are 249v here . So impressed easy to set up quiet and fast saved me days . Thick paint coats and no runs . Can’t recommend it enough and so enjoyed using it . And cleaning it is a doddle .

Great sprayer for the price. My first time using an airless sprayer and got some amazing results for a rookie. A little practice and I was spraying like a pro this sprayer made it easy and fast.

After researching airless paint sprayers Graco was the clear choice and I selected the Magnum X5 for my large home DIY project. The X5 performed flawlessly over 12 days of painting as I made three trips around my house with it in the boom lift that I rented. It held up to spraying 30 gallons of oil based wood primer, and 32 gallons of latex topcoat without any issues. I did take care to follow the cleaning instructions very carefully each day to ensure the sprayer and tip we're clean and ready for use the next day. I also had to thin the oil based primer with 5% mineral spirits because the Magnum X5 tip was not compatible with the primer recommendations. This worked fine. The Magnum X5 brought tremendous value to our home project, allowing us to transform our cedar lap siding home from a lodge look to a farmhouse style look that my wife has been wanting. We were able to save thousands of dollars by doing it ourself and we are extremely pleased with the end results. Thanks Graco!

Bought and used this sprayer to paint a ceiling and kitchen cabinets, worked very well. Cabinets look great and ceiling looks good as well.

Well worth the money. This was my first time using an airless paint sprayer. After watching a few videos and using the included quick start guide I finished my project in a quarter of the time it would have taken me usingrollersanda brush. Clean up was simple and easy. I purchased the 50' extension hose and the swivel connection to make things a little easier. I would recommend buying the tip extension for spraying 8' ceilings from the ground. Glad I made the decision to buy this unit.

Really, I don’t know about this particular one the X5 I had used my friends wish is a different model and I really like the way it works how easy was to use it, and how fast we finish the job, he recommends me this particular model for my big project wish is a big, big one so as soon as finish the job I will tell you.

I bought this last week and I have painted two sides of a stucco covered house.It works amazing and it is fairly easy to get it dialed in.This is exactly what I needed for this job and I could not be any happier.I would recommend this product to anyone painting a house. Clean up is very easy any painless with the garden hose feature.

I wound up purchasing this unit because the Wagner model I had intended to buy was out of stock. The cost was a bit higher than I had anticipated paying but I couldn't be happier with the results. I used this unit to spray my old kitchen cabinets and the finish is much better than I expected. I did wind up buying the whip lead and 315 tip to help get into tight spots and reduce overspray. This was easier to use than expected.

This sprayer is awesome. Primes easy, sprays great, and clean up is a breeze. Just sprayed the doors and interior of my barn and could not have been easier. Would definitely recommend for DIY work and small to medium jobs.

Stained the back fence with a small handheld sprayer last year and that thing clogged lol the time and needed to keep filling the canister making a mess. The Grace X5 made the fence in the front a piece of cake. Had both sides sprayed and touch up work done on all my other fence areas in about 2.5 hours. This sprayer is great!!! Clean up took some time but was easy to do, looks almost brand new in the box again!

I bought this primarily to stain my deck. At 525 square feet and 250 spindles on the railing....it would take 3 to 4 weekends to stain this with a brush. I had a 10x10 pergola and 85 feet of railing stained in an afternoon. Next, the deck....using the roller it took 1.5 hours to stain the top of the deck per coat. So easy...I put down two coats. It should be noted I am staining a two tone grey and white so use of the sprayer for white and roller for grey worked out fanstiscally. Had this been one color....I could have sprayed the whole thing in a single day. Small detail work I finished with a brush...that was about an hour. The finish was far better than I have had with a brush and the time I now have for other projects makes this worth the cost of the machine.

Great sprayer for home projects like trim and doors or walls interior or exterior. Plan and research, prep is the most work, painting goes fast and so does the paint. This would not be a good choice for single items and less than a gallon of paint, although you can pump out of a quart you’ll use half of it to fill the pump and hose. I bought a RAC X tip protector and a 310 FFLP tip and had much better results than using the RAC lV it came with with a Trueairless 315 tip on my interior doors and trim. I’m quite happy.

I bought this to stain my fence. It’s 520 linear feet and 6 feet tall. It took me about 20 hours and 35 gallons to do both sides. I used “Ready Seal” semi transparent. I found it very easy to use. The lamented instructions are very good. I did not have a problem priming the sprayer or keeping the prime. Once you have it primed with whatever you are going to spray, there’s no need to separate the suction hose and priming hose if you’re just starting another container of the same product. I used and oil based stain because I just preferred that. The clean up with mineral spirits was no problem. I did my fence over a three day period and cleaned it at the end of each day. Definitely practice on a piece of cardboard so you can get the pressure set. And also strain the material like the instructions say or it will plug. I strained each 5 gallon container into a clean bucket and had no issues. This sprayer was definitely worth it for me.

Delivers a high quality covering in addition to being a fantastic time saver. The machine is quieter than expected. Multi-step set up and clean up is methodical and steps must be followed. Graco provides a laminated instructions "menu" which I keep handy until process becomes routine. Upgrade to the X7 includes the wheeled stand which I can see as valuable and convenient, however I have no regrets on the X5 for my needs and price differential.

Decided that a 1000 square feet of drop ceiling was way too costly. The X5 worked flawlessly. Never had a clog. I was scared of the setup and cleanup instructions, but after videos it was game on. Wrestled with stiff hose at times. Loved the X5. Even though I watched all the videos, I climbed the ladder for my first spray and shot myself in the face. I do the dumbest things at times.

I just completed the first use of my Graco x5. I painted my shadowbox fence, which had not been painted in 15 years. My neighbors have asked if they can get the name of the company that did the work. They still don't believe it was me...a novice painter! The sprayer was easy to use and cut my work time by over 50%.
