I have been installing theses mailboxes In Seaford Va. for the last 8 years. I think I am up to 310 now. It wasn’t to long ago that I could find the black one for $25.00. My customers really liked those big boxes.

Installed the mailbox a week ago. It looks good and works fine. We ordered it online. The third one shipped to us finally arrived undamaged. Even the delivery guy said the box it came in was flimsy and it's no wonder it gets damaged. Thankfully Home Depot made returns easy.

Mailbox was dented on both sides right out of the package and not willing to wait another week for a replacement

The mailbox is very nice but when the wind blows the magnet isn’t strong enough to keep it closed.

Easy to install. Seems fairly sturdy. I wish the "clasp" was a bit sturdier to hold the door closed.

This item was not available in the store. Worked with Home Depot Customer Service and, they were able to put in an order for me for home delivery (at no cost to me). The item was received on time & in good condition.

Mailbox was very nice, but the corner was dented in from shipping. I fixed it with a pair of pliers and it was OK. Also, the top arch on the door was dented and I was able to fix that also. A little bit beat up at shipping, but didn’t appear to have any surface defects otherwise. Very nice mailbox.

If you want this box to last, you can't just mount it on a post and call it good. You need an 11" x 23" sheet of 3/4" plywood to set into the bottom: these boxes are designed for that and have holes in the sides and back to secure the plywood in place. Unfortunately, the instructions don't mention this critical requirement. With the plywood bottom, the box is not flimsy at all. The door has an adjuster on the inside (opposite the pull) to set the force required to open it.

I decided to get a big box because things were too painful in my small box. Now things slide in with ease rather than having to cram them in and making it painful. Back in the day it was fashionable to where a big onion on your belt.

Both my mail carrier and I appreciate the large capacity of this mailbox.
