I didn’t notice I ordered a jumbo I was like wow. But it’s awesome!!

The size of this mailbox was paramount for our usage. We had grown tired of always having a pink slip to retrieve our many parcels that would not fit in the standard mailbox we had previously installed. This one was large enough to contain a 3" thick box of records, which I order often as a record collector. Now we can have our packages as soon as possible without the hassle of driving to the post office the next day [or later] for pickup. The accompanying Gibraltar cedar post was touted as a shovel-free installation, and though I was doubtful, the whole process of installing the mailbox took me just 15 minutes! Five of which were spent waiting for the Post Office delivery worker to actually deliver the mail along our road's row of mailboxes in the middle of the process.

If your wife is like mine and the ups/fed-ex man is at your house daily this Is for you. It's the biggest cheapest mail box you can buy. Seems well made, decently thick metal and very shiny paint. I used two deck boards for the mail box to set on, fit perfect. The gray matches our house!

I purchased and installed this mailbox on October 8. Went out to get the mail the afternoon of October 18 and found the door hanging on by only the right rivet. The left one had broken or something. I figure that's less than 50 opening and closings before failure. I was hoping this one would last 35 years like the one it replaced. Now that I've replaced the failed rivet with a bolt and screw, which wasn't difficult just irritating, I'm hoping it will end up lasting 35 years.

The reason I picked it was because it is the standard for our subdivision and a truck backed into it. They replaced it. I do think that it is a great size and most packages fit in it. It is much nicer than a standard size.

All you could ever ask for in a rural mailbox. Looks great installed at all 3 of the houses we surprised for Christmas.

I would have like to see this made with a heavier type of steel but this does the job nicely. The box is Very Large & I was even thanked by my Postman one day after I had installed it. It is mounted on an 8 inch Round Fence Post that has been staked to the ground by 2 5.5 foot T-Posts. The Round Post snugged up to the T-Posts at the 2 & 10 O'clock positions & are held steadfast by 4, 4.5 inch Headlok Screws that hold it in place very well & is STURDY! The Mailbox functions as it should & holds packages much easier. I would Suggest this to Anyone wanting a Good Sized Mailbox!

My husband and I recently bought a home and needed a larger mailbox and found this one. After searching for a great one at an even better value we found this one. It arrived quickly. It was easy to put up on our pole. While I was outside after installing it our mail lady stopped to tell me she loved the new larger box. She was happy about it and so am I!

These boxes are sized to receive just about anything the post office will deliver.

Large ALL METAL black box with red plastic flag. No plastic hinges or handle which was important to me. Ordered online. Came within the estimated time for local store pick-up. Back corners were both dented in on bottom from shipping but it was easy enough to bang back out during instalation. There were enough holes and installation options that it was easy to attach to the existing post for a quick install.

I wanted a large rural mailbox and this one fit the bill. I couldn't find one in white so I ordered this one in gray and painted it white and painted the flag blue. I have no idea how long it will last but I'm hoping the extra layers of paint will keep it from rusting. I ordered it online and it arrived promptly at my nearest Home Depot store.

This large size box is requied by the community association where I live. The box is spray painted black but only the outside. There was overspray on the inside of the box and there was an area that was missed at the bottom of the box where the front door pivots. The flag was plastic and didn't feel very durable. Also, the box has a latch on the inside top edge of the box to hold the door closed.

Holds a lot of mail.

The box seemed flimsy compared to past boxes I have purchased. However, it was favorably priced.

Looks good, made well and arrived as I was taking the old one off. Perfect!

Online construction illustrations very helpful

The box seemed to be of good quality. This review isn’t about the quality of the box, rather the condition it was delivered in. Although it showed up in less than two days it showed up damaged and unusable. It was returned over a week ago and the replacement still hasn’t shown up.

My driveway is extra long, as I live on a Farm. The Stanley Extra Large Mailbox is great for my mail and package delivery by the USPS. Now my UPSP Gal doesn’t have to carry the boxes received all the way to the house! It is also waterproof so rain and snow don’t get in!

Product arrived with no damage to box but severely dented and had to be returned. Return service at store was excellent.

Door does not close completely due to paint around the opening.

Product perfect for my appliction.
