This grommet tool works very well. The instructions are a series of drawings which leave a little to the imagination but it is easy to figure out. What I would like to see is the same kit sold with more grommets. It is a bit odd to sell such a nice tool with only 12 or so grommet sets to have a bit of a surplus for future use. You have to store the tool parts anyway so storing some extra grommets with it seems simple enough to do. Finding extra grommets for it can be a bit of a problem if they are not in stock locally and not available on-line.

Use of the tool was easy to use. The grommets that was provided with the kit is for light duty use.

The only problem I had was that the flat side of the grommet is very thin and they tend to stick together. When I finished the box, I had one half of a grommet remaining. I had used 2 of the flat sides on one spot and ended up wasting a grommet. Count and separate the pieces before you start.

They work for the project that I needed them for. It's not rocket science here its a groument. Worked well for the project I used them for.

I needed to put grommet holes in a laminated sign. This kit did the job.

I use these regularly to put grommets in fabric. I've tried other tools, but none would cut through my fabric. Since I use it so often, I have to buy them regularly... I only wish they didn't contain lead...

The grommet kit worked great. My son used it to punch holes in a leather bag he made to make sliders for a string back pack. Set well, worked great.

Bought this at the Home Depot store.For what I needed it for it did the job pretty good.

this small grommet kit package really contains all the little pieces to install grommets properly. Even the directions are easy to follow.

I used it on a banner to provide a place to tie banner to poles. It worked excellently to do the job.

When turning our old dining room into a music studio, I needed a cheap acoustical barrier to dampen the sound coming from the living room (all hard wood and very live). I purchased a stack of black moving blankets to use while teaching or recording, but I only wanted to hang them as needed. (Who wants moving blankets as permanent wall decor in a living room??) I struggled to come up with a way to hang them on a temporary basis. Finally, my husband suggested grommets. I used this kit (3/8") to make neat and durable holes in the blankets so that I could lift them on and off of discreet wall hooks when needed. The hole puncher easily cut through 2 or 3 blankets at a time, and the grommets neatly attached the blankets 3-thick to hang over the doorways. So simple! So effective! And so cheap!

I purchased this project to make covers for our garden boxes and it worked great.

Great refill kit for the grommet kit. By the base installation kit in addition to this refill kit and you will have enough grommets to fix or create your on 20' x 60' tarp or other grommeted fabric.

Grommets closed neatly and perfectly . Smooth surface with no nicks.

This was my first time installing grommets, and the tool was so easy to use. The grommets (for a theater curtain repair) looked good and were sturdy enough to hold up the heavy curtain.

I purchased the kit to add grommets to a 4x8 outdoor banner. It was very easy to use and the grommets that I added looked and functioned as well as the ones from the sign shop.

This kit works like it is supposed to. The hardwood backer block is a little on the flimsy side but I had a scrap block that I could substitute.

I bought this to make grommet holes for a set of drapes and I had a hard time trying to figure out how to use it. Most of these directions are written in man-language anyway which explains why he had no problem. Good value for the money.

Easy to use and does what it is suppose to. Used to put grommets in shade cloth for a porch.

I've got absolutely no complaints about the tool or the handful of grommets that came with it.

It was what I needed and worked as designed. I wonder if there's some kind of plyer-like tool that would do this.

I purchased this grommet kit to install grommets for a corset I was making, and was very pleased with it. Easy and fun to use, and it ended up looking very nice. Why bother buying the same grommets from a corset supply store for three times the price when you can count on home depot to give you a product that is probably even sturdier? My only complaint is that there is only one color available, but these little babies probably take on spray paint. I will definitely buy more of these grommets for future corsets. If you want to purchase these grommets for tarps or whatever, I would definitely recommend them, because if they are strong enough to tightly lace a corset (and not pop off or bend), then they are strong enough for anything.

I bought this tool having never put together a grommet. This tool works perfectly. It is simple and perfect. I put together about 28 grommets on a tarp I was fixing in less than an hour. Definately 5 stars.
