The tool arrived OK with slight hitch; the address left off our lot number and the tool was delivered to the mobile home park office which was closed (7pm deliverry) but was left by the door. I figured out what happened and was able to retreive it the next day. I was one day behind schedule because of the error. The tool it self work great!

I needed to put grommets through two layers of tie-down strap; the kind with the metal buckle on the end. It was much easier and quicker to do than I expected. I followed the “instructions” and used a rubber mallet to punch holes through the webbing. I held the punch in place with pliers to avoid whacking my fingers. It took a couple good strikes with the mallet to cut through the webbing. I was really surprised how quick and easy creating the grommets was. I used a regular hammer, per the “instructions” and it was done in a flash. Time will tell how long the grommet will last. Hopefully longer than the strap. My only concern is how long the hole-making punch will last before it gets too dull to work. I am extremely pleased with the tool.

Overall, they met me expectations. Disappointed that I cannot find more of this product in Home Depot stores in my area.

It was just what I needed to repair my flag which had a torn out grommet. The cutter did get stuck on the driving piece and had to be removed in a vise, but other than that it's great.

Make sure to orient the grommet correctly in your fabric before committing with the hammer...

This tool was used to add grommets to the edge of my pool cover. The tool worked perfectly, anchoring the grommets so that I could put a rope through them an use it to pull the cover on to the pool.

The grommet kit worked great. We used the kit on marine grade plastic to hang on our screen porch for the winter. I would recommend this kit.

Works. Cumbersome, but it does get the job done at a nice price. Find it hard to believe there isn't some sort of punch tool to make the hole in a tarp.(Maybe there is?) Would buy again if need be it.

Great way to save money by doing the grommets yourself.

There is a certain technique to setting grommets & there was a bit of a learning curve, so the first few were difficult, but things got easier. We used a hot glue gun to make holes in the tarp rather than using the cutter in the kit - much easier.

I had to return it. I am sure it would work fine for someone with more strength, but I was not able to punch a hole in a very thin piece of metal. (The top to a jar). It was for a craft project.

Wonderfully low-tech, but because it is it requires slow and deliberate effort on the part of the user. Does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Works well on fabrics or materials of medium to heavy weight or thickness. Not ideal on thinner caliber fabrics.

I wanted to put grommets in heavy duty canvas but the part of the tool used for cutting the holes wasn't sharp enough. I ended up using scissors to snip the hole. Otherwise, tool worked great.
