I replaced this about 5 years ago to replace an older model whose baskets had rusted. Now after 5 years this "newer" model the baskets are beginning to rust! There are not many alternatives to this type of dish washer. I paid 1 1/2 $$ for this!

We replaced the old one which lasted 15 years.No issues with this dishwasher. Elkay dayton sink with GE code worked in place of the original sink that GE used to offer.

So far we have been happy with this model. It does work better than its predecessors, hopefully it'll last longer than 5years . . . The fact that I have to pay almost $1000 for the only model available to fit under a sink grates me every time; the only differences are the tub and top rack from the same regular under counter model, and it is certainly NOT worth $1000.

This is essentially the same dishwasher that I had 25 years ago. It works like a charm. The crew installed it and carried away my old one in record time.

Hi, so glad I traded my old under-the-sink DW for this one - as it's much quieter than the earlier GE one I had which lasted 10+ years.

My previous dishwasher fit under half of my sink and worked for 33 years! I was very worried that it could not be replaced but it's here, it fit in the same space, and it works! I have a small kitchen but when I had it remodeled, the cabinet maker knew of this small unit and how it would fit in my kitchen and still leave me a fair amount of storage space. Love it. Don't want to be without it. Just praying this new one will last half as long as the old one. What's your guess?

After 2 backorder delays arrived w/defective fill valve. Online service scheduling needs updated to real time. Local tech ordered new valve today. I expect better from GE! Always had good luck w/GE. Still think they are good products based on past experience.

The dishwasher does a great job on stubborn stains. Fits perfect under my sink and is a space saver! Love heated plate setting

As almost everyone who has purchased this model knows the only choice we have is color! There is only one manufacturer and only one model for under-sink units. It is not the quietest machine on the market, it doesn't have alot of options, but it gets the job done. I replaced an almost 20 year old machine (same model) which gave me absolutely no problems the entire time I had it. Just got the new one because we changed all appliances to stainless steel. Like other reviews I've seen, the biggest complaint is the new layout of the lower rack. You would think that since the capacity of this machine is smaller due to the fact it looses interior space because it goes under the sink, that engineers would really find ways to make the best use of the rack space they have. Not so. I think I lost about 10-15% capacity just because of the layout of the lower rack. I even started looking on-line for replacement racks that would fit this machine that has a better layout. So.... good machine, just needs racks that make better use of limited space.

It’s extremely overpriced and my dinner plates don’t fit in it! They did in the old one. I can’t even say it’s better than no dishwasher at all, I told my husband to close up the hole with a cabinet. I am so disappointed that after waiting 6 months to get the replacement, my dishes don't fit into the lower rack without bumping into the top rack. WHY on earth did this redesign occur? Can I BUY an old lower rack? I am so unhappy about this as I love to entertain and need it to work for me. I am not buying new dishes to fit my dishwasher. HELP!

I have old model at NYC and want to change to new one I would like to buy this model but I can't find any place to buy sink. I want to make sure before having this product. Is this under the sink spacemaker model coming with sink?

Love this very easy to use, not a million buttons to get confused on. Saves space being under the sink in my small apartment. Cleans very well compared to my last dishwasher, it is night and day on how well this one works. Rate it 9/10

Kinda of disappoint that the dishes isn't full and only very limit

We first purchased the spacemaker dishwasher when GE first had them available. This is the third unit purchased over the course of probably close to 30 years. We originally purchased this type of unit in order to not lose a lot of cabinet space in an existing kitchen. We have remodeled the kitchen since then and should have replaced it with a standard unit. This unit is expensive for what you are getting, not to mention the special sink needed. Overall, however, the first 2 units were fine. However, not so pleased with this 3rd unit. We thought it would be an easy install as replacing an existing unit. However, GE has changed a couple of features. The electrical connection on the unit has been moved from the prior position, making the existing household wiring too short. The control panel is of inferior quality. We have seen children's toys with better quality push buttons. The sound insulation on the lower panels has been removed. We took the insulation off the old panels and installed on the new. The bottom rack has been reconfigured. Our standard dinner plate now sits .25" higher and will not fit. We made smaller diameter wheels to lower the rack to accommodate the plates . The unit weighs substantially less than the prior unit. We are looking to repair the old unit, as we have little faith the new unit will last very long. Oh, and it took over 2 months to finally get the unit. However, IF you need an under the sink dishwasher this is the only game in town.......

Replacing an aged same model, I’m happy this new one has a bit more space. I am, however, disappointed to find it is no quieter than the old one. There is an especially loud clicking noise when the cycle function changes. Unfortunately this is a one-of-a-kind model with no options in regards to brands or price.

My dishwasher is absolutely perfect. It cleans dishes so well.

We love our under the sink dishwasher. It is a perfect fit in our little kitchen! It has enough room for all the dishes and cups!

I own property so this is my 4rth unit. They fit perfectly with the back drawn sink. Facade quality has come down over the years. How ever still a good unit

Very, very slow, and way expensive - GE is taking advantage of having the only model that will fit under the sink. Kind of highway robbery and the product should be better for this high cost.

We received this dishwasher as a replacement under our home warranty plan. This dishwasher is not installed under a sink, it is installed under a countertop, so the spacemaker top rack is useless for us. You can hardly fit anything in it. I would not recommend this model.

I love my dishwasher! It runs quiet and smooth, and the dishes are sparkling clean! Easy to use too. GM products are the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
