This oven was not cheap, although not top of the line either, but for a moderately priced oven, we were sadly disappointed to find out, after the fact, that this model does not a have a light switch. The only way to turn the light on and check your food is to open the door, and you do not have to be a professionally trained chef to know that you do not open the oven door while baking! The first thing we looked for after installation was a light switch, so that we could turn the light on, look inside and admire our new oven, and surprise, no light switch, needless to say, we have since fallen out of love with our new oven.

I have had this product for 6 months and am amazed at how long it takes to pre-heat. Also if you have it at one temp and want to change it it must be turned off and re-started in order to change temperatures.

I've been using my new wall oven for 5 months now and love it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't have an oven light button choice. You can only view what's cooking with a light by opening the oven. Otherwise, everything works well. The controls are very easy to use and completely intuitive. I picked this model over others because it was reviewed as being very quiet and it is! We have an open concept house plan and the oven is practically in the living room, but the oven cool-off fan is not an issue.

My oven was installed yesterday and I am pleased with it, even thought I only tried it once. My main concern was a review about having to open the door to get the light to come on. That sounded to me counter intuitive and it would be, if it didn't work so well. YES you do have to pull back slightly on the handle to get the light to work but you only pull back enough to engage the light switch.

The control panel feels/looks cheap and the oven takes FOREVER to pre-heat. I even tried turning on the broiler first to get it heated as the standard element is hidden. After heating the oven for a while with the broiler and switching to bake, it still took just as long after switching to get to pre-heat setting as if the oven was room temperature when I switched them to bake. The oven does look nice, I just hate to use it since it takes so long to heat. The oven I replaced was a much better oven at 20 years old than this one will ever be. it was just UGLY.

We bought this unit approx 6 months ago and it has been perfect. It is only lacking a switch to turn the light on inside the oven when you are using it

Even cooking, large interior, easy to use, and there's even a setting to "proof", or rise, your bread!

This unit works fine & no problems so far. It's quiet and looks nice in black. There are two short comings that would have improve our satisfaction: 1) there is no external switch to turn on the light inside the oven and 2) there is no read out of the temperature as the oven heats (it just says pre). Overall for the money it was a pretty good value.

This oven was recently installed in kitchen renovation. I was shocked with the noise from the fan and the fact that this loud fan stays on for at least 45-60 minutes after oven is turned off. I realize that the new ovens need a fan to cool them, but this noise is excessive. You cannot sit at the kitchen island and have a conversation.Also, you cannot turn on interior light from outside, therefore you have to open oven door to check food. I had my old GE wall oven for 30 years and that is why I bought GE, however I would definitely not recommend this model.

This new GE oven is performing as I expected it. I did my homework and read numerous reviews on various websites before purchasing. As with other reviewers, my only "con" is that there is no light except when you open the door, but it's a minor fault. Great looks and easy to use.

We had a GE cabinet oven for over 20 years and it was working the same as the day we bought it, believe it or not, never a repair. The appearance was black and we now wanted to switch to stainless steel, our only reason for changing it. The cost was good since we paid just a little more now than we did twenty some years ago, amazing. No I don't work for GE and I wasn't paid to write this. It's just a good appliance.

I am pleased with it, the only thing i do not like is it does not have a light i can hit and see what is inside and if it is browning properly. Was disappointed at that feature not being there.

After shopping around, I found what I considered, and still consider, the best replacement for the 50 year old electric wall oven that had become unreliable. The installation was easily performed by a handyman I hired.

Very even cooking. The unit is very easy to clean. Fits in nice with our older GE appliances. And most important, my wife is happy.

Purchased the oven to replace an older one during kitchen remodel. It is easy to use, saves energy and cooked foods offer the ability for great plate presentation.

I replaced my old GE Profile oven with this new one. I love it !

I only wish this model had a button to turn on oven light while baking.

We bought this wall oven three-months ago and love the look. Previously had a similar unit (white) that we replaced with stainless. We stayed with this brand because we had no problems with the old unit but needed to update the kitchen. Love the multiple broiling coils, makes broiling much more even. My only complaints would be that there is no way to illuminate the interior light without opening the oven door. An external light switch would be nice.

We have only used maybe 3 times but preheat seems to take awhile, also no light switch to view while cooking.

I am very happy with this product. The controls are easy to use and the oven works very efficiently.

We purchased this oven for our new home. After reading the manual and using it a bunch of times we found out it has no inside light to turn on without opening the door. Totally pointless! Why would you make an oven with a window without a light that can be turned on with it shut? This is a very basic feature that even the lowest of low end ovens have. Even my mom's 40 year old oven has an on/off switch that can be operated with the oven closed. Now we have to pay extra to upgrade to a different oven.

Just purchased for kitchen remodel. Looks wonderful. (2) issues. Cannot turn light on in oven while using. If you need to check for browning, you must open oven door, which loses heat. Also timer sound is very low. Must be close by to hear.

I love my new wall oven and wish I would have had one sooner. It is easy to operate and controls are simple to use

Larget oven I have had. A family size pizza fits with ease. Steam cleans instead of self cleaning.

Everythings has functioned well. Price and value are considered good.

The oven was easy to install. Looks good in our kitchen Cooks evenly with the large oven, and is eay to use.

Happy with purchase. Black oven looks very sleek in cabinetry. Easy to use. Just like GE products.
