This oven replaced an 8 year old oven by another manufacturer. The old oven was noisy; this oven is very quiet, both when it is heating up and when it cools down. The old oven didn’t heat evenly, even on convection bake. This GE oven isn’t perfectly even, but it is just about; virtually no issues when cooking cookies. The only complaint, and it wasn’t enough of a complaint to change the overall rating, is that it is slow to heat up. The old oven had a rapid preheat option; this one doesn’t. The self clean feature works very well.

Attractive and efficient
Great oven...Love the wifi connectivity. Slow to preheat, but not terrible. Had to settle for the black as slate black is no longer made in this size which almost caused me to leave the brand.

Great Oven!
Love this oven. You can choose between convection and conventional oven on the top oven - the oven also has a proof setting which I love when I'm making bread. You can start the oven remotely which is helpful if you want to start it on the way home so you can throw something in. It's been really great!

Good looking
We got a new GE double oven and I love the confection feature and Wi-Fi compatible. This looks really nice with our white cabinets. This came with a thermometer probe which is pretty awesome. What else can I say but it’s beautiful.

Double Oven

SO FAR SO GOOD… BUT THERE ARE CONCERNS
We have the GE double wall-oven for only two week. (1) So far so good. All oven functions appear to have worked well. (2) The installer encountered a small challenge when installing the wall-oven. The angle bracket at the upper left corner was bent upward and crooked. Therefore, the defect needed to be remedied before it’d fit the opening. This is a manufacturing quality control issue. If the product failed on obvious things, it makes you wonder about quality and quality control of those less obvious things. (3) Except for the digital time display, all other displays and functions will require first opening an oven door. Why? We would like to use the oven’s digital timer without having to use the oven. For example, timing tea steeping time, etc. But we are required to first open an oven door in order to see the display panel to set the countdown timer. It is idiotic! Perhaps in the next design iteration, the digital panel can light up and functions enabled when the clock’s digital time display is touched.

Great Over Overall (A few minor complaints)
Overall, the double oven is great and I’m very happy with it! I love being able to preheat it remotely. However, two things - it takes an abnormally long time to heat up and fingerprints show on the screen and all over the oven very easily. These are not deal breakers but still a bit annoying.

Great reviews, but not 100% satisfied.
We needed to replace a 30+ year old GE double wall oven. I wanted to replace our oven with another GE, so I researched the oven and was very impressed. I was grateful that GE offered FIT GUARANTEE as I was
replacing a 30+ year old GE gas cooktop as well. These two appliances were a huge expense and one I didn’t take lightly. I would like to get 30+ years out of these. The reason I’m not giving the oven a 5 star is that there are a few minor issues that bother me. One is that there isn’t a separate interior light switch for the top and bottom. Both top and bottom lights come on with same button. Second, is that the audible timer is very faint and can’t be heard from another room. I’ve set it to the highest setting. Please follow the instructions on page 9 reference applying vegetable oil on the edges of the oven racks (especially extension racks) for smoother movements.

So far, flawless
Bought this over to replace a twenty year old GE oven. So far, it's been great. Convection feature cooks food perfectly. And I love that I can monitor food remotely using the app. Interior space is also much bigger than the old oven. Plus, it's great looking.

I’m a baker
As much as I wanted to fall in love with this oven I can’t. The reviews are correct. It takes a long time to warm up 10-15 minutes. When baking it doesn’t seem to cook my food in the time of a recipe. I have to add more time. I also do not like the feature in which both oven lights are on despite only using one oven. I do like that you can turn off n on the stove from your phone.
